Its unrelated to Photoshop, but is photodeluxe 4.0 free to use for commercial use?

Hi there,
I am installing photodeluxe home edition 4.0 on my work laptop, however, I am not sure whether it can be used free for commercial use. Since its a discontinued software and been told that its sort a freeware so just want to confirm whether to be installed on work laptop?
If you could please provide any sort of link that proves it.
Much appreciated in advance.

Much appreciated chris.
When I spoke with one of the admin staff,he told me that it came free of charge with the Omega Zip drives that were purchased by the company back in 1999. Could you please advise me on this?

I've just bought a Macbook Pro 15" and I'm trying to use Photoshop, but the resolution its displaying the images at for 100% are too small. I have to design for the web, so need to be intricate with detail, but I'm finding it adjusts the resolution of the image right down. (I mean you can see the image clearly, but it's too small to edit). When I look at Safari and see a web page at 100% it's clear, but the same page displayed in Photoshop CC appears 50% of the size (even though it says it's 100%)   If I move the application window to another screen it adjusts it correctly  – leaving all the pallettes, menus and tools correctly sized as they are on the retina display   Is there some way to adjust the way Photoshop CC displays images so it is more consistent with what you actually see?   There doesn't seem to be any answer on the Adobe forum, so hopefully someone here can shed some light.  MacBook Pro with Retina display, 15", OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), Photoshop CC 2014

I tested both ways. With "open in low resolution" ckecked the size of the images is cool, but it is low-resolution including Photoshop appearance.
If "open in low resolution" is unckecked the appearance is good but the very small size.
See the image below. It has 650 x 732 px, 72 dpi. The font of the text "Neste aniversário ..." is with 18pt.

Video apps in the Cloud suite (such as Premiere Pro and After Effects) are 64 bit only and will only run on 64 bit processors and 64 bit operating systems.
If your computer is running a 32 bit operating system (e.g. Win 7 32 bit) then you will not able to download those apps since they will not run on your computer.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html#desktop-products
Which desktop applications in Creative Cloud require 64-bit operating systems?
With the new CC apps, most of the pro video and audio applications now require 64-bit operating systems to run. These native 64-bit applications include Adobe Premiere® Pro CC, Adobe Audition® CC, After Effects® CC, Prelude® CC, and SpeedGrade® CC. Flash Professional CC, Photoshop CC and Lightroom® also require 64-bit on Mac OS.

  • Im trying to install photoshop but the application manager says its up to date. What does it mean?

Ive just bought a year subscription to creative cloud so that I could use photoshop for editing. When I try to down load the software it says its up to date but there is currently no photoshop on my computer.
I did use the free trial some time ago but I since removed it. How do I reinstall photoshop?

Mac or Win? How did you remove the previously installed Photoshop trial? Did you use the uninstaller, or did you just drag it to Trash?
The Application Manager finds signs that Ps is already installed on your machine. Do you have any other Adobe creative software installed as well?
I think that it might be best to remove all traces of and then attempt a fresh reinstall. Use http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html to clean up your system and reinstal the software.

  • Aperture, good cataloger for Photoshop, but is there more?

    Hi,
I am trying to maximize the benefits of Aperture, but there is still confusion. Aperture obviously is great at storing, cataloging, comparing, retrieving and opening images. The books and web tools are convenient and work quite well also. My problem is that I still have to go to photoshop for extrapolating my images to a larger size, resolution, then while there, I use Noise Ninja and Photokit Sharpener since it is convenient and the results are good. If I could at least extrapolate my image in Aperture for sharpening, I don't think I would need to go to Photoshop and that would be the ideal way to maximize Aperture.
My question is, why use Aperture for these things at all? I don't mean to sound negative. What Aperture does do, it does it quite well. I would just like to have it be the one stop shopping place for my images from camera to printer.
I can open, catalogue, compare, store, retrieve by metadata, and more in Photoshop already. I want to be told that Aperture is better for some reason than Photoshop, but I am not seeing it. What am I missing? Should I just interpolate in Photoshop, bring it back to Aperture and then print out of Aperture and then store it? It seems like an extra step for little benefit, especially when I can do this on my laptop and my desktop computers which I can not do with Aperture. (Don't really need the laptop for editing, but it would be nice to have)
I assume most who have Aperture are still using Photoshop for some things, but when does Aperture become indespensible as compared to being just a very nice looking raw image editor/cataloger?

Aperture's core strength is its integrated workflow, specifically in getting you from "lots of images" to "the images you really care about" quickly and efficiently. It doesn't have all the functionality of Photoshop (no true layers, no masking, many fewer 3rd party plug-ins), but it's great in getting you from 1000 shops to 25 "selects" in 30-60 minutes, when you've done some simple color correction and shadows/highlights to them.
If you need that, great. If you're a fine art photographer who is used to working with 4x5 or 8x10, maybe not so great, as you will need photoshop for every photo you work on.
Did you watch the videos on the Aperture site? If nothing those folks rave about meshes with how you work, perhaps it is a bad fit. Aperture isn't trying to be everything for everybody... which, based on the learning curve I went through with Photoshop, is a good thing. A very good thing

  • JPG fine in Photoshop but error in After Effects: "The file format module could not parse the file (45::36)"

I found a lot of discussion on this error in Photoshop but I'm getting it in After Effects.  I have a sequence of JPG images created by photoshop (output is RGB in sRGB color space) and it appears one of them is causing problems in AE.  There are several hundred images in the sequence, all created from PS, and only this one is causing problems.  I've re-created it several times in PS and the error persists.  I've also re-created several others and they're still fine.
I've seen other comments that the issue is with incorrect file formats and CMYK color space.  I've confirmed that neither of those is my problem - the file is JPG straight out of PS in RGB.  Also, there are several hundred others that are just fine using the same process and "save as" properties...
    Any help?
    Thanks,
    rgames

Have you stripped its metadata in Bridge? Could well be that it contains botched info from the camera. PS carries this through until the bitter end. Alternatively save it with Save for Web choosing to remove metadata.

  • "Its an invalid photoshop document"

Im trying to open up a photoshop document but when I click on it it says "Its an invalid photoshop document". Is there anyway I can fix this?

This error is telling you that this file does not contain the information required of a PSD. There are basically one of two things going on here: 1) The file is not a PSD, but is instead a JPEG, TIFF, or some other image format, it simply has the wrong file extension. 2) The file is corrupt and is missing contents.
In the first case, you can try changing the file extension to different formats and retry opening until you find the right one. In the second case, you will have to get a new copy of the file (if someone supplied it to you or you downloaded it) or refer to a backup (if one is available). In the case of a corrupt file, if the file was downloaded originally, it may not have completed downloading. Same if you copied from a disk or from a network source. If this was a locally saved file, it suggests another application on the computer interfered with the file creation process and resulted in an incomplete file. Such applications that are known to cause this type of behavior are antivirus (and other security software), backup solutions, and encryption. Additionally, bad RAM or hard drives can also result in this behavior.

  • Colour prints ok with Photoshop but wrong  with Lightroom.

I am using Lightroom 4.4 and Photoshop CS6 with an Epson Stylus Photo P50. In both programs I have set colour management handled by printer, and in both programs I have set printer colour profile to Adobe RGB. Prints from Photoshop are ok, prints form Lightroom are wrong and have to low saturated colours. Greyscale seems to be comparable. In both programs the image on screen is the same and ok. How can I get Lightroom print the correct colours?

The way I understand it, the Adobe RGB in the Print module applies only to the previews, and draft printing, but I may be wrong.
See Lightroom Help | Color management. Under "How Lightroom manages color" it says:
    "Lightroom uses Adobe RGB:
    - for previews in the Library, Map, Book, Slideshow, Print, and Web modules
    - when printing in Draft mode"
In another help document Lightroom Help | Print job options and settings it says:
"To send the image data to the printer driver without first converting the image according to a profile, choose Managed By Printer."
So, I assume LR is sending the image in its internal color space, but then again it is just my interpretation, although it is compatible with what happens, i.e.  the "color numbers" from a big color space are sent to a smaller color space, without conversion, and the colors get washed out. It is much the same as when an Adobe RGB encoded image is viewed on non-color managed program.
As you do not have specific profile for your printer and get good results using Adobe RGB you may want to try to cheat a little.
Try this: in the Color Management tab of the Print module, instead of selecting "Managed by printer" select "Other..." and you will see a list of the available profiles on your computer (eventually ticking "Include display profiles"). There, choose Adobe RGB.
In any case, I'm convinced this is NOT the correct approach.
