ITS Upgrade 6.10 to 6.20

Can anybody send me complete steps for upgradation ITS 6.10 to 6.20.

Hello RM,
Just download the latest ITS 6.20 installation. It is a self-executing zip and will then install the SAPinst and then proceed to install ITS 6.20. In the beginning of the ITS 6.20 installation it will detect the ITS 6.10 and ask if you would like to upgrade or install a new instance of ITS.
Please be aware though, the ITS 6.20 upgrade will not delete the ITS 6.10 files.

Hi,
We upgraded the ITS from 6.10 to 6.20 on Windows 2000. The EP Version is 5.0 SP4 on Windows 2000 and R/3 is 4.6C. The ITS upgrade was successful and I was able to publish transaction using W3_PUBLISH_SERVICES program in R/3 and view it by logging into ITS. But, the Entreprise Portal Users could not login into portal once the upgrade was performed even the admin user got locked out. The users are maintained in LDAP Directories. Is there some compatibility issues between IIS 5.0 on Windows 2000 and ESS(Integrated with EP)? Can some provide me help as to why this problem could have occured.

ITS upgrade from 46D to 620

I am about to do ITS upgrade from 46D to 620. Could any one please tell me the step by step procedure to do this activity. Whether I need to uninstall 46D and do fresh installation of 620 or is it possible to do an upgrade to 620 without uninstalling 46D?

I Think the best way to go is Install ITS 6.20 and run both ITS's in parallel until the new ITS is tested, then remove the old ITS.

Old Appraisal System (SAP R/3 4.7 ITS) upgrade to SAP ECC 6.0, Ehp4

Hello experts,
We are currently on SAP R/3 4.7 (using ITS) and will be upgrading to ECC 6.0, Ehp4 (using Netweaver Portal). This upgrade will be purely technical, no changes to existing talent modules.
Our employee performance appraisals are currently accessed via ITS using the Old Appraisal System. Can you tell me if it is even possible to link the old appraisal system to the NW portal?
If yes, what kind of changes are required here? Which iviews will I need to activate?
All of your advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

THe old appraisal system runs on ITS , true .
In the new ECC 6 , there is a built in ITS , which should allow you to still run the old services . But it makes sense to explore the newer functionalites offered in EHP4.

ITS Upgrade 6.10 to 6.20 : Changes in services/templates/developments

I have to estimate the effort to upgrade from the ITS 6.1 to 6.2 at developer's side. I heard that some changes must be done in services and templates (f.g. ressource files limited to 255 char/line; etc).
I have some questions:
- appart ressource files, do we have to change the html and other ITS files?
- can we keep the ABAP back-end as-it?
- Are some other changes to be done? (appart the upgrade itself)?

Did you really mean from ITS 6.10 to ITS 6.20? These are both standalone ITS versions that need a web server. In a lot of ways they are very similar and the upgrade process is pretty much just installing the ITS 6.20 and then copying over your custom (services, templates, and mime) files. Do not modify just copy over the standard files (webgui, system, and global.srvc) and you should be fine.
One of the big differences is that we moved from configuration in the registry to xml files...though now that I think about it, I can't even remember if that was with 6.10 to 6.20 or from even earlier!

AGate.exe does not return memory + ITS Upgrade

I'm using SAP 40B(too old!) and ITS 6100. 1021. 53. 153 (too old, too!!!!!).
However, AGate.exe process does not return used memory.
So when process reached memory limitation (about 1GB), Then I must restart ITS Manager.
Question 1> Is this a matter of session closing? My configurations are like below..
+ Performance
     - MaxSessions : 6144
     - MaxWorkThreads : 60
     - MinWorkThreads : 8
     - TimeoutPercentage : 75
   + Global Services > All Settings
     - ~usertimeout : 24
     - ~timeout : 20
Quyestion 2> Can I upgrade ITS version on SAP 40B? IF that is possible, which is the lastest version can?

I do agree, ITS 6.10 is much too old, right Nobody is able to
support ITS 6.10 anymore, even if we would be willing to do so.
I would suggest to upgrade to ITS 6.20 which can of course be used
to connect to your 4.0B system.
ITS 6.20 should be run on a 64bit platform where you can forget such
memory limitations, though I recommend to find out why the ITS-Agate
uses such a huge memory amount.

ITS upgrade: issue.

We have recently updated the ITS from version 610 patch 27 to 620 patch 24 and while doing the UAT we found out that there's something going wrong.
When executing a R/3 transaction in the portal we have several fields to complete, some of those fields are mandatory, however for some reason the fields are displayed as read-only and we cannot write in them. Because of that we cannot execute the transaction, just because whenever we try to we get the error "Mandatory field missing".
After this error shows up, then the screen refreshes and the Read-only field becomes writable and now we can write and save the changes.
However this situation is not good, it should save all the changes togheter and with only one execution.
Does anyone had any problem similar to this one or any idea about why is this happening and what can i do?

I want to know whether I can go for the top model of Non Retina - 2.6Ghz 8GB RAM 750 GB 1 GB Nvidea as an alternate choice for Retina MBP pro or NOT ?

Though it is very recently launched and there is a big risk buying it because they say it is unrepairable and unfixable as 'everything is glued into the motherboard' dialogue scares me. Something goes wrong after purchase and they send it back to US, is what the Apple officials said. Moreover they don’t keep one on a demo at Apple stores in kolkata. I have searched almost everywhere and have been to many resellers in my city but no use.
NOW,I am very sceptical about custom ordering a Macbook 15 non retina with High-Res 1680X1050p from US.I don’t know how much custom duty or expenses I have to pay and is it safe or not. Time is also a factor. Sadly, I have to buy one in Kolkata (my city) it seems.

Well, are you talking about a 750 Hard Drive or SSD? If SSD (quite expensive) it will certainly be as fast. One option is to get the smallest HD they have and with the Non Retina you can upgrade the HD to an SSD later or now but save a little money. Check with iFixit or OWC for instructions. HD's do take longer to start up and load, but once open, the processor and video work just the same as on the Retina model. The SSD speed is nice, but really not critical. So you have to wait a minute for your computer to boot up. The other big question is you need to find out if the non-retina model will take 16GB of ram. According to OWC's site, it will, 16GB for 150USD. Once you get programs open and resident in ram, everything will fly.

How to stop iphone 4s to upgrade its ios...? is it possibile?

is it really possible to stop iphone 4s from upgrading its IOS? seriously i dont want its upgrades cause it makes my games crash!!! everytime i play with my games it crash just because i upgraded the IOS from 6.0 to 7.0.3

Upgrading from 10.6.7 to 10.6.8 issue with GUI

Hi,
I've been trying to upgrade 10.6.7 to 10.6.8 multiple times now on my MBP and gets to the same error every single time.
10.6.7 runs like a charm - no issues no nothing.
I download 10.6.8 v1.1 combo pack and try to install it, it runs and want to restart. Once it boots all I get is either a screen switching/flickering between the apple logo or an orange screen. At this time I'm able to access the shared folders from another mac on my network and check the logfiles that it's done with its upgrade.
Here I notice the windowserver.log doesn't look like it used to do only stating :

I'm able to access it via SSH as well, if the setting is ticked in sharing option, and can see that WindowServer is using 100% cpu on the MBP.
Anyone got any idea on how to get it up and running again and get me to 10.6.8?
Yes I have reset PRAM, SMC, erase and install, etc. Every time I'm able to get the MBP to 10.6.7 without any issues. I've even tried to install the latest CUDA drivers for the nvidia cards which didn't make any difference.
When I start it in verbose mode the last line is:
[ PCI configuration begin ]
Anything would help...

I can add it's the same with upgrading to Lion... So I guess they changed some driver code between 10.6.7 and 10.6.8 and its not compatible with my logic board.

Dropping WiFi Connections after new Mac Min and Upgrade

Secondly (why I found that thread among many others addressing the same problem). I received a new Mac Mini for XMas (cool, I needed it) which worked fine with my other computer and devices (2 iPads, 2 iPhones, 2 Win7 Laptops and 2 Win7 desktops) for a couple days, so I thought. Now all these devices got along very well until Mr. Mini comes along. Then I note wireless drops occasionally, it seemed to come back so I wasn't too upset, yet and decided to deal with it later and enjoy my vacation.
Now, after I allowed Leopard to do its upgrade (I had deferred that) I now have all the above devices dropping wifi and physical LAN connections as long as this Mini is powered on. I shut it off, Internet is blazing, I turn it on, Internet falters and screeches to a halt.
Since all my other devices have worked cooperatively for several years and this device comes along and crashed the party im pretty convinced its not my router or computers. I am not interested in trial and error here. i have many better more important things to do and this is Apples responsability to figure out. I am a very savy IT dude (career professional) and want to get to the bottom of this for everyone.
Soooo.... What changed? Why does this device kill my network when it is turned on (note, no alterations from out-of-the box to any network protocol or config.) and why does a thread (one of many) without a solution get trumped on by Apple?

Before you run into the problem that we ran into when one of our larger customers upgraded from 4.2 to 5.0 and the result was that the controllers got caught in a loop during the upgrade and took the entire WLAN down.
Please be advised that Cisco recommends that you ISOLATE all lightweight access points from their controller during the upgrade of the controller from 4.2 to 5.0.
In part, this is due to a bug in 4.2.xx that starts upgrading the LWAP software images before the controller finishes updating/rebooting. This can cause interruption to the LWAPs as they upgrade their software from the controller when it reboots.
I have also heard of some situations where the LWAPs get corrupted to such a degree where you may have to out and physically access/reset the LWAPs that were interrupted during the upgrade process. I believe the worst-possible-case for this would be limited to no more than 10 LWAPs per controller

In our case, the result was that the upgrade process hung up - with some LWAPs stuck, and all other LWAPs unable to pass traffic through the upgraded (ver 5.0) controller because they were at the previous revision (4.2).
In our case, this resulted in a system-twide WLAN outage.
As part of the call into Cisco TAC, the engineer said, in effect, 'why didn't you ignore the release notes instructions and isolate your controller from the LWAPs during the upgrade?'.
Our response was, we would have done so if it had been in the release notes (which it is not). So, after much cajoling by us, TAC finally agreed that it might be a good idea to include this additional step in the release notes.
Please reference the bug which requests an update to the 5.0 release note installation instructions: CSCso02420
TAC is aware of this problem and it is my understanding that there is discussion at Cisco regarding a maintenance release for 4.2 (since 4.2 is where the problem actually lies). The maintenance release would be applied to 4.2 controllers PRIOR to upgrading them to 5.0.
In the meantime, if you are still anxious to upgrade to 5.0, one workaround is to isolate the LWAPs from the controller either by:
1) Physically disconnecting the controller from the network during the upgrade and reconnecting it after its upgrade/reboot is complete.
or
2) Temporarily disabling the VLAN that carries the LWAP traffic to/from the LWAPs/Controller and re-enabling the VLAN after the upgrade/reboot of the controller.
I hope that this is helpful for anyone out there who is about to upgrade to 5.0.

Problems trying to upgrade from Solaris 10 update 4 to update 8

Hello,
I am having problems trying to upgrade a system from update 4 to update 8. I have broken all the mirrors and everything is now setup off of one disk, yet I do not get the upgrade option when I boot from the CDROM. Anybody have any ideas?
It is a pretty basic system and I do not understand why it will not let me upgrade.

If you boot your system from the CD-Rom, you can test its upgradability by performing the following steps:
create a file named for example /tmp/pf_profile, which contains:
install_type upgrade
root_device /dev/dsk/<your root slice>The run the pfinstall program on it:
/usr/sbin/install.d/pfinstall -D /tmp/pf_profile
.. with a bit of luck that should validate your installation and report any potential problems which might cause this.

<l_sx_rrc0_rto>-handle does not have any value.so it is going to dump.its upgrade error.same code works in 4.6c ,but not in ECC.in 4.6c <l_sx_rrc0_rto>-handle has value '0001'.
