That SAP is dropping support for ITSmobile is NOT TRUE!!
ITSmobile is supported longterm. We integrated ITSmobile in all SAP release beginning with 4.6C. ITSmobile as a part of the SAP system is therefore supported as long as the SAP release itself. Regarding support there is no difference between both.
You can use you code for sure. The only thing you have to do is to generate templates for each screen and make sure that the screen size set to the dimensions of the mobile device. Other than in WebSAConsole you have full control over the generated HTML. ITSmobile can therefore be used with any device.

ITSMobile GUI doesn't fit on PDA

Hi folks,
I'm observing a strange behavior. I use a PDA with a barcode scanner and display the standard SAP ITSMobile menu (lm00) in the Internet Explorer of that Windows CE device. I've set the presentation format to 16x20. The PDA has a QVGA display.
What happens:
1. Logon screen is displayed. (fits perfectly in height and width - no scroll bars)
2. I log in.
3. The RF menu is displayed. (doesn't fit in height and width by about 30% - scroll bar visible)
Even with only 3 menu points the logoff Button (F8) is displayed very low so you'll always have to scroll. Does this work as designed or do I have to configure something? I just can't believe that the standard SAP RF transactions can't fit a state of the art QVGA display without scrolling...
Any suggestions are highly welcome!!!

We have recently implemented SAP ITSmobile/Standalone SAP ITS gateway 6.20 (6200.1035.9507.7, build 1121051 - Single host) connected to LXE RDT device for warehouse operation.
In warehouse forklift operators quite often lose connection to Wireless access point,which is creating orphan sessions in background and not getting cleared sometimes from the system, we have to manually Clear(kill) the sessions .
I have introduced following parameters in SAP ITS instance in ALL SERVICES. pls let me know, is there any parameter need to be enforced to clear the hanging session. Apprecitete your help.
Parameters in SAP ITS Gateway Instance:
~disconnectonclose = 1
~timeout = 30
~usertimeout = 0
Also, I see following log entries in access log, what could be the reason for ???? in the access log ?

With the ITS 6.20 you can use the ~timeout parameter to change the session timeout in minutes. Basically the value, in minutes, will determine when the session terminated after that period of inactivity. This can be changed on a per service level. So if you think the wireless connection is lost every 10 minutes and the users should have activity every 5 minutes then it is safe to change the ~timeout value to 10.
In the access.log the question marks (?) are when a request is made before there is user information, that would mostly be the logon page. The entries with "command" in it are requests from the ITS ADM instance.

ITSmobile - me53 - Table not displayed

Hello all,
we are trying to configure ITSmobile for some standard transactions in our ECC 6 EHP6 system.
We are following the steps which are listed in help.sap.com link
(http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/46/6d41e42dc56a58e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm) and also in http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-34935.
We have crated the internet service and templates in se80 and the service in sicf for transaction me53.
When we test the service in sicf the initial screen of me53 transaction opens in the browser (after successful login).
We give the pr number and the second screen is displayed but the table containing the results is missing. The rest of the screen is displayed correctly.
No error messages appear in the system logs.
After creating a SAP incident, the reply from SAP was that transaction me53 contains a TableControl which is not supported by ITSmobile.
A number of standard transactions (like me54n, caps, trip which we also want to access from mobile devices) contain TableControls.
Does this mean that none of these standard transactions can be accessed via ITSmobile?
Is it possible to access transaction me53 from mobile devices using ITSmobile?
Or is there perhaps another alternative?
Please advise us on how to resolve this issue.

Hi Eleni,
WEBGUI is supported for iPad and Android but it is dependent on the Browser being used and the SAP BASIS and Kernel being used.

click and double-click. A general release of the IOS platform is therefore not
possible. There are SAP transactions that work, others that do not work.
me53 or me54n are not the typical transactions that one would access using ITSMobile.
So you are correct - would not make sense to redevelop them as Z transactions for that type of access.
ITSMobile in general is not used by iPad/iPhone/Android tablets; but rather Industrial scanners like IBrowser (Intermec)

It will be the latest Netweaver version. i.e SAP BASIS version and Kernel been used. This will tell you the ITS release.

ITSmobile service pass system/port/client dynamically in the URL

Hi all,
The ITSmobile service we have created redirects to another service in different server using ~redirectURL.
so the ~redirectURL = http://splhrd398.baplc.com:8005/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/zdemo_mobile?sap-client=150
is there anyway to pass
system : splhrd398.baplc.com ( This is the name of the different server)
port no: 8005
sap-client=150
dynamically in the URL.
because when we transport the same to Testing and production. i need to know whether we have to do manually .
If you have any option to do dynamically let me know.

Vertical Scrollbar in the MC9090 Handheld device for ITSMobile Service

Hi,
In Our ITSMobile, we have 10.4u201D forklift devices from LXE with windows XP and MC9090 from Motorola CE windows mobile 5.0. We are in ECC 6.0 and using integrated ITSmobile .We use TRM and our RF users will log on from LP00. The screens are good in the laptop and fork lift device. But we get a vertical scroll bar in the Handheld device MC9090. We defined a different display profile for the Handheld device for MC9090 and converted the screens using the screen conversion tool. But still the scrollbar exists and it is really annoying. Is there anyway to eliminate the scroll bar in the MC9090?
For the same service, we would like to have the full screens in the forklift device and the handheld device without any scrollbar.
Is it the best practice to have different display profiles for different presentation devices?
Is there any quick and easy way to eliminate the scroll bar without tampering the style sheet or HTML code or ITSMobile generator?
Your input will be highly appreciated.

ITSmobile with ECC 6.0

Hi People,
I have a question regarding ITSmobile. I know there are 2 kinds of ITSmobile technology available, ITSmobile integrated and ITSmobile stand alone. We are using SAP ECC 6.0. Do we still need to have SAP Netweaver to use integrated ITS or one can use it without having Netweaver? Can anyone tell me where can I get more information about SAP ITSmobile?

ITSmobile setup

Hi Everyone,
I am in the midst of setting up ITSmobile technology to enable end-users to use mobile devices with barcoding enabled to execute RF transactions in SAP systems.
We are running SAP 4.7 with SAP Kernel 6.40 and SAP Basis Component 6.20.
I have a couple of questions:
1. Do we need to install standalone SAP ITS 6.20 server or we can actually use integrated ITS?
2. How can we ensure that integrated ITS is avaiable and working properly?
3. What is the minimum Support Package level for integrated ITS to work?
4. How to configure RF transaction so they will be accessible trhough we browser (and ultimately, mobile devices)?
5. How to test the cofigured RF transactions using web browsers?
Please kindly advise.

ITSmobile and chinese characters under UNICODE

Hello,
we already use ITSmobile on our ECC6.4 EhP4.
Now we plan a roll-out of this process to China.
As far as i know it is enough to install and activate chinese language (simplified Chinese) to be able to log on in chinese and get all transactions with chinese characters.
Is this also valid for ITSmobile or do we have to take something else into account?

Hello Alex,
Make sure that you have the Chinese language installed on the mobile device. Also need to make sure that you have Chinese on your R/3 system, easiest way to test is to logon in Chinese (usually simplified Chinese for China).

Pass Okcode through URL in ITSmobile service

Hi all ,
we have 2 itsmobile services serA and serB
SerA calls serB using redirect URL (in specified path below) at some action.
SICF->service ->errorpage->LOGOFFpage-> RedirectURL.
SerB have a transaction code which holds a screen and a pushbutton in the screen.
While calling serB i want to press the push button , by passing the okcode with the URL.
I tried by passing ( http://splhrd398.com:8035/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/zserB?sap-client=100&~okcode=enter)
it doesn't work .
Please throw some lights.

In ITS-Service ITSMOBILE no HTML-Template ALV_GRID.html

Hi all,
i use its-mobile with alv grid. In my Template i changed text:
Unknown type CUST_CTRL for element CONTAINER1
with:
`include(~service="itsmobile", ~theme="99", ~name="alv_grid.html");
alv_grid("ALV", 52, 8);`
But now i get the error: ITS_CANT_LOAD_INCLUDE - that file alv_grid.html is not found. That is right! When i look into ITSMOBILE -> Thema 99 -> HTML-Templates no file called alv_grid.html is there. So how do i get this file?
System is SAP ECC 6.0, Release 700 Support Package SAPKA70016.

I presume its the same level as your Application Support Pack SAPKA70016? i.e SAPKB70016
For ITSMobile - I thing you would need to be on SAPKB70018?

ITSmobile standalone - F8 logoff doesn't work

Hi,
in our ITSmobile standalone scenario the logoff doesn't work.
It is also not working in the ITS webgui transactions using the standard logoff button.
It is a ITS 6.20 standalone SP64, with a 4.70 SP65.
Many things regarding logoff only work for integrated ITS but not for our standalone...
Hope someone can help.

Hello Aksel,
There is no session management in the ITS Mobile for the Standalone ITS so the
~DISCONNECTONCLOSE and ~SINGLETRANSACTION will not have any effect here.
The best thing to do is to set the ~timeout value lower. If you
currently have it set to 30 than it is 30 minutes.
If you think a user should complete this ITS Mobile service
in 5 minutes than please set the ~timeout for this service to 5 for
5 minutes. This will remove the user's session in SM04 after 5 minutes
of no activity.

Recovery Function in ITSMobile

Hi,
If there is a link failure between RF device and SAP, the system will automatically propose the point where the last the saved data screen in the WM RF screen. Will it work in ITSMobile? Has anyone tried it? Is there any parameter to be set in ITSMobile for this recovery functionality?

Hi,
Yes you can ,but after the installation of SAP if you set system restore option in the OS ,then only you can restore entire OS ,otherwise you cant.
Check : Mycomputer->properties->system restore

ITSMobile using HTTPS protocol

Hello,
I am new on ITSMobile and I am having issue connecting using https protocol. I keep getting a message on my device MC70 "The Web site you want to view request identification. Select the certificate to use when connecting". Unfortunately I only got a blank box and nothing to choose. When I click OK I only get the previous site I been to and will not get the login screen that I need.
I am using a Symbol MC70 with windows mobile 5.0. All the settings in SICF are okay so with the ports. I appreciate whoever can give help on my issue.

We are having the same issue.
Does anybody have any suggestions? We are using a self-signed certificate.
