ITune 11.0.1.12 where is the radio station?

went to preference it shows there is a radio station... but i cant find it anywhere like the older iTune had a section under library... not even iTune Help didn't tell me where is it and cant find it online help?

I was having the same problem. It took me awhile to find it.
Click on "music" under "library" (left side).
At the top of the page, click on "radio."  The radio station genre list is back!

  • Where are the Radio Station current charts?

Previous versions of iTunes had a list of radio stations across the country and we could pick one and see the songs on their current playlist available fo sale at the iTunes store. Where is that option?

Unfortunately, they have been removed, and without a word of their demise. Just one day, they up and disappeared. I love them as well, as they served many useful purposes. I hope that enough people would comment and make Apple rethink their position, but alas, apparently not enough...
    Hope that this helps...

  • ITunes no longer connects to many of the radio stations that it used to

I recently patched the new upgrade version of iTunes. I decided to wait this long so they could work out some of the bugs first. Apparently it still has some. And this post applys to both the Mac and Windows versions.
I used to enjoy listening to the di.fm Chillout station in the Ambient section of iTunes. After I patch this new upgraded version of iTunes it will no longer connect to the station. This by no means is hindering me from listening to my station, but it is taking away the convenience of doing it all through iTunes. The new version also cut off many other radio stations as well (unable to connect).
Andbody have a clue if Apple is ever going to fix this?

    Some things to try:
    • try connecting via ethernet
    • turn Airport off and then back on, or go to System Preferences -> Network and select Renew DHCP Lease
    • from System Preferences, create a new network location
    • turn the router and/ or modem off, wait 15 seconds, turn them back on again
    • zap the PRAM:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
    • check and possibly adjust the security settings on the router
See if any of those work for you.

Is there a way that iTunes can act as a Radio Alarm Clock?
I have found the radio station I enjoy listening to in the iTunes Radio List. Is there anyway iTunes (and my Mac) can be set to come-on from Sleep mode and start playing that Radio Station at specific times of the day?
Any App or plug-in that does that?
    Many thanks

Turning your Mac into a clock radio.
    1.  In iTunes create a playlist that contains just the radio station you want to wake up to.
    2.  Export the playlist (as .m3u works well).  Get Info on your playlist file and look at the Open With entry to make sure it points to iTunes, VLC or some other app that will stream your station.
    3.  In iCal create an event entry at the time you want to wake up.
    4.  Right (or Control) click on your wakeup event and select Get Info.
    5.  For "alarm" select Open File.
    6.  Now under Open File there will be a place to add the file to open.  It will probably be some default entry (like iCal).  Click on it will allow you to select "other."  Then use the file dialog to select your playlist file.
Your Mac will wake you up at the appointed time.  You don't need to keep iCal running.  If you want to put you Mac to sleep for the night then there is one more thing you need to do.  Open System Preferences to Energy Saver and click on the Schedule button.  Check Start up or wake and set the wake up time to slightly before your iCal alarm time.

  • ITunes 11.0.1 Where has the radio option gone from my source list on the left side of iTunes ? How can I restore it?

Where has the radio option gone from the source list on the left hand side of my itunes? How can I restore it

If you have it turned on it is now under the music section on the top where you have Songs, Albums etc. It is on the far right next to Match.
If you cannot see it then Preferences and Tick Radio Option
If it is still npt there the Preferences, Parental and untick Disable Radio

It's gone from the sidebar, but now lives in the top of the Music window, conveniently next to Match.

  • I'm unable to import cover art to my MPEG-4 movies that I've imported into iTunes. What gives? Where is the artwork tab?

I'm unable to import cover art to my MPEG-4 movies that I've imported into iTunes. What gives? Where is the artwork tab?  I'm running iTunes 11 on my Windows 7 laptop.

I thank you for the response.  Apple does some assinine things sometimes and this is one of them.  Ask the planet the difference between a movie and a home video and with the exception of Apple, you'd get 100% consenus on the what difference is.  A home video is something that I shoot, like my kids birthday party.  A movie is something I urchased either via download or a DVD that I ripped.  Unbelievable!   The fact that Apple has chosen not to distinguish based upon which folder I tell it is Movies and which folder is Home Videos is really hard to fathom - sounds like something Windows would do. I find it funny that in my iTunes movies sub-section of the movies section, the movie icons have a cloud icon in upper right corner to distinguish it as bought from Apple iTunes versus no cloud icon for movies that I have ripped - so the distintion was already made and clearly visible.  Now - everything just defaults to "home videos" if I try to import a new ripped DVD - why even bother to have this distinction on the iTunes bar?  WOW!
As for your direction, I do not understand what you are telling me - what Media Kind and what Options tab are you referring to?  I see no Options tab in iTunes.  Right licking on the movie icon does not yield media kind or options as well.  Gping to the source file does not yield these options either.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • Unable to access any of the radio stations on iTunes

I have iTunes 10 and am unable to access any of the radio stations. I keep getting error messages to try again later and check my Internet connection (it is working fine). Any help would be appreciated!

    Photoshop version? Operating system?
Reinstalling might not have reset Preferences, so try that.

  • What happened to the radio stations in iTunes 11????

I used to listen to the radio stations that were in iTunes; I just upgraded and i'll be damned if I can find them.  This is supremely irritating.  Please, someone tell me I've just overlooked them somehow.  Thanks.

I had the same issue, and didn't have to reboot to get it to reappear. I couldn't find it either, and knew i had used it before on my ipad mini. I closed my podcast app (Which was paused on a podcast) and closed the itunes store app, and the itunes radio tab reappeared. it must have something to do with the other apps that are open...that's why turning your ipad off and then back on fixes it. It closes whatever app is preventing the radio tab from showing up.

  • How to stream talk radio on iTunes 12.  Was able to do so on iTunes 11, but can't find the radio stations on iTunes 12.

Just upgraded to iTunes 12 - and now cannot stream local radio stations on iTunes.  I've looked under the RADIO section but the upgrade deleted my stations.  When I try to ADD a radio station - the iTunes 12 Search doesn't find it...  I was able to find and stream this same radio station with iTunes 11.  The iTunes 12 upgrade wiped out my history and radio stations.  Has anyone figured out how to add back individual radio stations?

    Hey bbhillfarm,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are having trouble finding the Internet Radio section of the new iTunes 12. The following resource should point you in the correct direction:
Listen to Internet radio - iTunes Help
    http://help.apple.com/itunes/mac/12/#/itns2946
    Tune in to Internet stations
    1. Click the Internet Radio button   near the top left of the iTunes window (if you don’t see it, click ).
    2. To see the available stations, click the triangle next to the type of music you want to listen to.
    3. To tune in, double-click a station.
If you use a dial-up modem to connect to the Internet, choose a station with a bit rate of less than 48 kilobits per second (kbps) for best results. To see a station’s bit rate, select the station, then choose File > Get Info.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

    You cannot eliminate them.
You can turn off the radio in iTunes prefs > General.

There are many applications for interent radio stations.
Also, if the station website has a link to listen, you can add it to iTunes and put it into a playlist.

  • How do you make to program the radio station on my remote contol ?

how do you make to program the radio station on my remote contol ?

Programming the radio stations (in hifi-mode) is explained in the "getting started" manual. Be aware of the fact that when you unplug the power cable all memory settings are lost.

  • Where are all the radio stations in the new Itunes version?

Where are all the internet radio stations as in the previous version of Itunes?  Is this content no longer available?  For instance, sky.fm or ace radio?

    Hi planex09,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The article below may be able to help you with this.  Click on the link to see more details and screenshots.
If you don't see a featured station or genre you like, then type an artist name that plays the kind of music you want to hear and build your station from there.
    About iTunes Radio
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5848
    About featured stations
Featured radio stations are DJ-curated, editorial, or hybrid stations that appear at the top of the iTunes screen and will change periodically. You can add a featured station to My Stations by dragging the item to My stations or by clicking the Plus button and typing the name of the station. There may be some DJ-curated stations that you aren't able to modify. You can't like or play more tracks like this while listening to a DJ-curated station. You can, however, start a new station based on the current track or artist of a featured station or add tracks to your iTunes Wishlist from the Star menu.
    Starting and modifying stations
You can start a station based on artist, track, genre, or sub-genre. To start a custom station, click the Plus button below the Featured Stations section in the center of the iTunes window. When prompted, type an artist name, track name, or genre or select a genre from the presented list. When starting stations by genre, iTunes Radio will play six second preview snippets for you prior to selecting a genre. After you add stations the first time, the Plus button will move to the right of My Stations.

  • Where is the Radio button in iTunes

I want to listen to internet radio in iTunes but can't find the 'Radio' button anywhere.

Radio is in the sidebar. If you have iTunes 11, the sidebar is hidden, so select View menu > Show Sidebar. Finally, choose Radio in the sidebar
