Itune 6 sound quality problem

I just downloaded itune 6 and the sound quality is horrible - distorted and fuzzy sound.
I thought it was my speaker so I listened through quicktime and the quicktime played alright.
Any idea? did I do something wrong?
my computer's G4 powerbook / panther.
please help me if you have any solution.

Hi, i think i've got the same problem as you, the music played in iTunes 6 has a hiss whenever there's something being played; whether it's mp3 or CD. if i play the same file in Windows Media Player, it's perfectly fine there.
I was using iTunes 4.9 before upgrading to 6, and everything was fine then. I really hope this gets fixed soon, i'm using iTunes everyday at work.
If Apple's reading this, please solve this quick! <=(

Ipod second Generation sound quality problem.

i´ve been using my nano for 1 year without any problems, with the first version (i think 1.1.3) that came with the equipment.
The sound quality was great until i update it to the last FW. The sound quality is terrible. Very very bad.

I'm having the same problem. If you find a solution please let me know. Ever since I installed the last update my nano sound quality is awful when I try to play it in my car via my iPod connector or use headphones.

Itunes video sound quality

I've used itunes for years prior to buying an ipod.
Now that I have the ipod, ALL of my video files' sound is corrupted. It is very scratchy and full of static, but only when played on my computer. The sound quality on my ipod is flawless. Anyone have any ideas?

Sound Quality Problem when importing

I am importing my CD collection to my IPOD Classic but a small number of CDs are importing with poor sound quality that sounds like interference. Anybody know what then problem is and how to fix it?
The CDs are from the late 80s to early 2000s but age of the CD does not appear to be the problem.

What is your sample frequency? (of the recorded files)
Have you set the recording bitdepth to 24?

5300 external speaker sound quality problem....som...

I recently got a nokia 5300 phone.Everything is fine except for the sound quality of the external speaker at full volume.The mp3s as well as the ring tones including the default nokia tone sound scratchy.Please help me has any one else experienced this problem or is it specific to my handset?What can I do about it?

Well if it looks like it's faulty you could take it to your nearest Nokia Service Centre and they will repair it free of charge under it's 2 year warranty.

Archlinux + wine + spotify sound quality problems

Hi,
have installed Spotify on my Archlinux box using Wine. But I am not able to get the same sound quality as in Windows XP. Have tried all kinds of settings in winecfg. Anybody have the same problem or know how to fix this?

Try to change your default sound API to OSSv4, it has better sound... way better, because you're not actually using OSS, but instead ALSA's OSS emulation...

When I export my song from Garageband off of my iPad to iTunes the sound quality is wrong, how do i fix this!?

Hey, I've read plenty of posts on how to fix this, but it's all for the Mac, and what they say is too turn off the auto-normalize, but there is no option for it on the ipad and I don't have a Mac...
I have exported it on all sound qualities, I have adjusted the low and high notes so they arent all that over powering, but it all keeps sounding the same
I would really love if I could have some help on this as I've spent months working on this piece of music and I really would love to have it on my mp3...

I've just found out, that it sounds fine on my iphone when played through headphones, speakers or even stereo, its just when i play it on itunes, it sounds funny like when it hits lows it goes quiet as if it cant handle them...

New Sound Quality Problems with Flash and Macintosh

First I noticed the the Flash 8 Video Encoder exported low

Windows XP, and no sound problems with FLV export (and it was

Sound quality problem, please help

Ok... so iTunes works fine unless i play final fantasy xi at the same time. the quality of the audio just dies and it does some weird stuff. im not sure if it has to do with iTunes or the game but id like to be able to listen to music and play my game at the same time.

Try using Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Flash Player sound quality problems

From couple days I have prolems with all materials played from web with flash player (for example: YouTube, Vimeo). Every time I watch a movie sound have strange "clicks" / noise. Something like overdrive signal. This become more audiable when in full screen mode.
I've tested MP3, FLACs, MPEG4, h.264 and other media played on my hard drive - no such issue - only video played trough flashplayer on the web.
Any idea what can I do with that? I've got latest 10.3 flash instaled.

Is it possible to have e version of flash player like silverlight which give thepossibility to hear audio on whole 5.1 system?

NOKIA 5800 Sound Quality PROBLEM!!!!

I can't hide my disappointment with this phone... I was expecting much more for my 430 Euros = 840 AUD which I paid, I can't hear other side properly ? if anyone said this to me that this is going to be a problem with nokia phone I would tell himt hat he is nuts... anyway its not my incompetencess it is THE PHONE... when I'm having call with the full network intensity my volume varies dramatically like from low to mid and high ???? I can't hear people well? And I dont know what is going on but I tried with several sim cards and several other people... and it is the same!!!!!!!!!

I have a registered Nikon camera that was purchased in Kuwait. Nikon USA found the product code from my camera but told me if it needs repair, I will have to either: 1. Board a plane to take it back to Kuwait, or 2. Send it to a local repair shop for them to send it to Kuwait where I will pay the shipping but get the warranty work for free, or 3. arrange to ship it myself with me still picking up some part of the tab. So, once again, go buy something else and get over it.

ITunes 9.0.2 sound quality issue

Since I installed iTunes 9.0.2 I have sound quality problems. Everything sounds like a bad 64 bit mp3 song - when I listen to the same track in QuickTime or VLC everything sounds as it should.
I checked all settings in iTunes but can't figure out the problem. No active equalizer, sound via line-out to high-quality AKG headphone.
Does anybody have the same issue - or maybe a solution?

Not to belabor this, but in case there are others with similar issues, I wanted to add what I hope will be a coda to our whole story. Today after playing one or two songs we were back to the static and poor sound quality--even with the replacement amp! In both cases (old and new amp) we had the airport express connected via the "phono" port, so this time we tried another port--and it seems to be working fine for an entire album's worth of jazz.
I googled the problem and right away turned up the following sentence in the Airport Express setup guide at http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/AirPortExpress_SetupGuide5.1.pdf.
"Note: Do not connect AirPort Express to the phono jack on your stereo."
No elaboration is given, but I can certainly attest to the validity of this advice. Whatever you do, in connecting to your stereo, don't use the phono port!

Muffled and flat iTunes sound quality

While listening to iTunes, the sound quality I'm getting is muffled and flat. I launced Audacity (recording/sound editing program) and all of a sudden my sound quality in iTunes ate it. I reinstalled my entire system software and it began working again...that is until I launced Audacity again. I've deleted all of the files associated with Audacity and recreated the iTunes preference, but nothing is working. Any suggestions? I see that a lot of people are having this issue but there's no real solution that I could find.

I have noticed for a long time that recordings sound much better outside of iTunes. Better even in the Finder when using the Preview in an Info or Regular Window.
In a major mistake, I just accidentally updated to 7.0.2 from 6.0.4 and the first thing that I noticed was more of a quality difference between iTunes 7.0.2 and the Finder. Not so much, but some, from 6.0.4. That was why I stayed with it.
It doesn't make any sense to me. You would think that with the intensity that they put behind iTunes, that it would be perfect. Or at least not so easy to compare with something as simple as the Finder.

Sound quality of incoming calls

I've had my Blackberry for over six months, but I've always had a problem with the quality/clarity of the audio in incoming phone calls. It's very difficult to understand the person on the other end -- particularly, but not only, if the person has an accent of any sort. I want to use the Blackberry as my primary phone, but I can't "get" half of what my callers are saying to me. This does not happen on any other phone.

Whenever you see or feel any unusual in your device always Perform a Battery Pull Restart like this While Device is Powered On remove the Battery wait for a min. then re-insert it back wait till the device take a long Reboot.
And again the voice clearity depends on your Carier or wireless provider signal strength are you having this same sound quality problem while listening to any music files.

Garage Band Sound Quality

Hey, when I go to export my song to itunes the sound quality on highs and low goes really bad and I have to redo somethings in garage band to fix it (and it doesn't even really fix it), like make the EQ on the song really low. But I also want listeners of my tracks to enjoy having volume. Any ideas on how to make it so my export doesn't ruin my sound quality?
