Itune wont recognize my password which was recently changed from an old account.

I recently changed my email address and went to itune to change it there. Now when I try to update my apps on my ipod touch it shows my old email address and wont accept any passwords.

Have you tried logging out of your account on the iPod Touch by tapping on it in Settings > Store and then logging back in and seeing if that 'refreshes' the account on it ?

Changing the video connection has nothing to do with the passwords.

Did you go on-line and fix your billing information? You probably need to do this from iTunes on your computer, not your phone.
If you've double checked your credit card info and it still won't take it, contact your card issuer.

Content (apps, music, ibooks, films etc) is tied to the account that originally downloaded it, so if the iBooks app was downloaded using the account that you used to share with your ex then only that account can download updates to it. As it's a free app you could delete it and re-download it under your own account - and then re-download your ibooks into it (or copy the books to your computer's iTunes first via File > Transfer Purchases and then sync them back to the app).

Itunes wont recognize other ipods

so the girlfriend is moving in and we are consolidating to one computer. now for some reason itunes wont recognize her ipod or any others. in the past we had to problems, now all it does is freeze up until i disconnect her ipod. i tried uninstalling itunes and reinstalling it with no luck. any ideas on what i can do?

dont trust those dummies from genius bar there very incompetent and there techs terrible at problem solving I've figured out several problems with my ipod 30gb i used it in my car forever and it's never left my glove box i went to them for answers there was 1 problem they dint know the answer 1. was my center click stopped working i fixed that by taking it apart scratching it but i fixed it what happens is they got these rubber boots glued (not very smart)under the wheel there total of 5 of them over time if you leave your ipod in hot place the glue starts melting and rubber boot start to move. that when stops clicking

Restore from the backup!
You password: You have set it! It might be your passcode or you mioght have set it accidentally, so test all of the passwords you normally use. If you cannot get the password you backup is lost, but you can still sync your iTunes content.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
