ITunes 10.0.1 no longer has Command-R shortcut to open root file of a song!
I can not believe that iTunes 10.0.1 no longer has the Command-R shortcut to open root file of a song! I use this function constantly as I am a television music supervisor who frequently emails or FTP sends music cues from composers and artists of mine to my tv shows. I use this to function to bring music cues into Toast, to see how I have files titled, etc. If anyone at Apple can log this as a potential fix for a future update, there is important functionality in this for some of us! Thank you.
Yes, much thanks dknightd! I too use it all the time & I thought they just got rid of it; they probably changed it to make room for a new shortcut... odd that they just changed it all the sudden like that, without replacing it with something more often used. I guess we'll just have to wait & see! Anyway, thanks for the post about the new shortcut!

Since downloading the most current iTunes software I am no longer able to print an insert (label) for a jewel case. I click on print, choose jewel case and then it doesn't matter which option I choose for the insert it will only print the songs over each other in a 1 inch section so that it can not be used or read. If instead of clicking on the jewel case I click on list it works fine and prints an appropriate list. I have always updated the iTunes software the first time I am offered to do so and I have never had a problem printing the jewel case inserts. Since this issue is not about a piece of hardware iTunes help will not help me.

I have Acrobat 6.0 Professional installed on my PC (Vista-64) and after the last FF update, it will no longer open or allow me to view pdfs. "The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser. Please exit Acrobat/Reader and exit your Web Browser and try again."
Under "Options" I set my preference with pdfs to "Always Ask" but the documentation on FF states that it will attempt to open the file first, before asking me to save it, which basically means that it will never ask me to save it - just ask me to exit the browser and Acrobat. Did you have files uploaded to Acrobat.com that are no longer there? If so, please log out and clear the browser cache, and then log back in to https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. If the files still aren't there (and you didn't delete them), then try logging in using another supported browser (System requirements | Acrobat.com).

I do not have a regular credit card. I used a prepaid credit card on my ITunes account for a little while, but now the prepaid card is out of money. Every time I try to download new FREE apps, it says there is a problem with my account and that I need to put in new card information. There is no option for selecting none. I tried deleting the old information and entering it as a blank. It will not accept it. Every time I try to download free apps, it comes back with the account information page, and then I can go no further. I cannot even download an update to my IPad from Apple. Help!!

With new iTunes 12, I can no longer convert a voice memo to an mp3 file type
Prior to the update to iTunes 12, I was easily able to convert a voice memo to an mp3 or mpeg audio file.
With iTunes 12, if you select Create New Version, mp3 is grayed out.
They changed it.
Help!I changed Preferences>General>Import Settings to mp3 and this gave me the option to encode existing wav files to mp3. Hope this helps.

Dreamweaver has suddenly started trying to open PSD files even from Windows Explorer
All my psd files have the little dreamweaver icon next to
them now. When I try to open them either from Dreamweaver or from
Windows Explorer, I get a message in Dreamweaver "failed to open
document". I've tried changing my preferences for which program
should open psd files but that isn't working either. I can open
them from within photoshop or from within dreamweaver only if I
righ click on it and tell it to open with photoshop.
This just started but I have been using CS3 for a while now.
What am I missing?

called creative element power tools, which finally let me change
the file association.

Illustrator no longer opens FH files!
Just a 'heads up' to anyone who may still be lurking this board. With the release of Illustrator CS6 Adobe has apparently dropped support for opening FreeHand files i.e. Ai CS6 no longer opens FH files! Whether this is a short term glitch will probably largely depend on how vociferous the FH user base are in their desire to see this functionality restored. It seems to me now more than ever (esp. on Mac's going forward) that we do need to know there will be a program capable of running on contemporary architectures that can open FH files.
LesTo run PPC programs you need Rosetta, which is discontinued with Lion.
To keep it possible for people to run Rosetta software, Apple greatly reduced the price of the server version of Snow Leopard, Snow Leopard Server. Although you won't need the server stuff, it is a version that has a EULA that allows you to run virtual installations of 10.6 on your Mac too. So you can legally install a Snow Leopard version in Virtual Box for example. You can make a lean OSX install with Freehand and other apps you like to continue running, and put them in a virtual environment.
So to run Freehand
- Start Virtual Box, you can set it up to automatically boot into the virtual Snow install. It will work on any mac from 10.6-10.9 and further into the future.
- Start Freehand (Virtual box also has a mode to start virtualised apps directly from the doc, but I think that feature only works for Windows programs now). Share the project file folder of the Mac to the virtual system to be able to access and write to all relevat file directories.
- After use, save state. The virtual mac will be stored in its last state, in maybe 10 seconds. This way it will boot straight into Freehand very fast next time. -
Command + T shortcut doesn't work on Mac
Using Firefox 5.0 on Mac OS X 10.6.8. The Command + T shortcut for opening a new tab doesn't work. I didn't try all the keyboard shortcuts, but among those ones I frequently use this is the only shortcut that doesn't work.

It's about a link to a website like www.website.com ( is a fake name for example purposes!! ). It has worked on both my PC and laptop!! Somewhere along the way ( cannot quite remember when ) there was an update of some kind on my laptop, that apparantly hasn't occured on my PC ( yet ), that has caused the link to 'break'. Therefore I suspect it's a setting matter of some kind, but cannot figure out which one and where to (re)set. Also because the problem stays when I try to delete and recreate the link, also by dragging it from the website to the desktop.
Hope this addition give you sufficient information. If not, don't hesitate to ask further questions.

It does not magically appear in a new place. It will only be where you put it.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one. -
What if a person no longer has access to the card itself, but iTunes recognizes my login, shows my balance, won't let me get past the "code" page?
What pops up is the page that tells me I can use my camera to take a photo - since I don't have access to the card, useless. I am caught going round in this loop - there's that one button, no other option. Thanks in advance.
