ITunes 10.2.1.1 crashing with windows vista on auto sync for Iphone 4
hey all
Ive recently bought an iphone 4 and am unable to sync it to my lap top. 30 seconds into the sync it reports as not responding ive tried serious amounts of time but can not get it to work.
only works on my partners lap top (seperate location) whos running XP
Any help ould be appreciated as so far i have no music ect on my phone!! rather boring!!

Hi,
Disable anti virus software and turn off the Firewall on your PC. Then try syncing.

I have downloaded the new iTunes 10.7 on my computer with windows vista on it. Now every time I try to run a video it shuts off iTunes. Is anyone else having this problem? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program twice. Is there a fix? Is it possible I am missing part of the program?

Does any one know an alternative to playing movies/tv shows purchased through iTunes on Quicktime? Quicktime crashes Vista right now, but is embedded with iTunes. Any was to play the media on something else?
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.01 GHz w/ 2Gigs RAM Windows Vista 80 Gig Video iPodI have the nVidia nForce controller mentioned in the knowledge base article in my new laptop...and of course I'm having that issue. HP wasn't able to resolve the issue, but they did say that they had reports of that issue on an Intel based SATA controllers also. I haven't tried external hard drives yet, but CD's, USB keys, etc. (basically anything that isn't an SATA hardrive) all seem to work fine so you may just want to find an external something large enough for your video files and put them there till someone figures out what's happening. It's somewhat annoying as it means one more thing to carry around if your portable like I am, but the iTunes library doesn't care where the file is so long as it knows where to look for it and it could be worse. As an example, I haven't taken my own advise and I'm using a 1GB USB key for 1hr TV show episodes that average 503MB...you do the math on that one.

Itunes Video Quality issues and crash in Windows vista
When using itunes listening to music works great, however when i play music videos purchased from the store they keep on skiping and after a while itunes will close and a message from windows will appear saying the software stopped working. when the video is playing the sound is fine and plays quite happily in the background however the video freezes and jumps.

Windows Vista vs Calendar Sync for Pocket PC
Is there a way to get Calendar Sync for Pocket PC to work under Windows Vista? It seem that Active Sync no longer exists in Vista, and Calendar Sync won't install without it.
Apparently it is still not available. If it is, they're hiding it well... It has been a year since the last update on this thread - does anybody have any better information on Vista support?

ITunes opens and then instantly crashes with Windows 7.

ITunes 7.4.1 not working with Windows Vista
Ive just installed iTunes 7.4.1, but I am unable to start program at all.
Can anyone help?Ive tried removing and reinstalling iTunes serveral times, but it doesnt help. When I try to open iTunes. Vista gives the msg that it cant open due to 'some program' and is searching for a way to solve the problem. Vista is unable to come up with a solution, but will tell you futurely . Pretty useless!
I am suspecting either the last Windows update, the iTunes update or Microsoft office 2007 - prolly Outlook, but I am not sure at all.

Every time i go to reinstall 7.7 it tells me that Itunes cant be installed because I already have a "newer" version...
I find it hard to believe that apple doesnt provide a way to go backwards when theyre shipping BUGGY pieces of software!
If I didnt already spend $500 on my Iphone, believe me I'd SWITCH!Same here. I hope you got your computer working. I unplugged everything, pushed the power button a couple times to get all the extra electricity expended and let it sit for a while. Plugged everything back in it's running again. Good that you're not using iTunes. Please send a bug report or call Apple they need to fix this. Do you know what their policy is towards damage to computers?

I even loaded an earlier itunes version, it worked without crashing, but it still did not recognize iphone or ipad.

I have the iphone 4 and PC with Windows Vista Basic. When I bought my iPhone syncs with iTunes on my computer, but now when I try to sync it tells me that Mobile Device Service was closed and I can not synchronize the phone. Try restarting Mobile Device Service and uninstall and reinstall Itunes but still giving me the same error.

I have an iMac as my home computer, upgraded to this about a year ago from a windows pc and love it.
However...
I have a HP Compaq laptop that i am running with Windows Vista, which I use when travelling. A while ago, I believe on an update, to either windows or itunes, it stopped running iTunes and comes up with the error : Runtime Error: R6034 - An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
I have a reasonable amount of tunes stored on my laptop, and am unable to ascertain as to whether this fix for allowing itunes to work again will delete my music folder and lose all the tunes i have on my laptop already?
The contents of my music folders on my laptop and iMac are not the same, as they are not synced!
Any help please on this would be appreciated!
