I recently installed IOS 4.3.2. and ITunes 10.2.2 on my 64 Bit Vista PC. Since upgrading the IOS on any of my devices, none of them are recognized in iTunes. The computer recognizes them in My Computer but not in iTunes. Apple support pointed me to http://http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538?viewlocale=en_US which directs you to uninstall/reinstall iTunes and all related programs. That has not solved the problem. The only guidance I have been given is from a tech at the Apple store who mentioned that there might be issues with the drivers in Vista. I have not been able to find any help with solving that issue. Does anybody have any thoughts.

I've spent an hour on this: massively frustrating. My custom ringtones disappeared from iphone when I just sync'd and now show up in itunes/iphone interface (on the mac) grayed out: won't sync to phone. I know the audio files work because they were fine two hours ago! (iphone 5 running 8.1.3)
I had this problem too after i upgdatd to OS X Mavericks... only the songs on my iphone 5s that i purchased from itunes would play.
i read something about it being a syncing issue. when you plug your phone into your computer with the usb cable, the person said to switch from automatic syncing of itunes to the "manual" option. mine was already set to manual so i wasn't sure anything would work. BUT, when i plugged my phone into my computer, it started to sync all of my music on my phone again (top of itunes bar where song playing/time is listed said "now syncing 123/534 songs to x's iphone"). once that was completed, i checked the music app on my iphone and everything was back to normal!
so, i would suggest setting your music syncing settings to manual if you haven't tried that yet!

I can't import MXF files shot on a Canon C300 into FCP 10.1.2. I have the Canon plug in for MXF file to FCP import but FCPX still doesn't recognize MXF files when I try to import. Premiere works fine importing MXF on the same computer. Any help is appreciated.

I did uninstall and re-install Canon XF Utility and the Canon FCPX plug in. Still no luck. I checked the CanonXF64.RADPlug folder is on my computer in the Rad Plugins folder in application support This is where it is supposed to be as far as I can figure out.
Another piece of the puzzle is that footage shot on a Canon C300 in 2013 and I reimported today and it DOES import into FCP10.1.3. Footage shot on a different Canon C300 filmed this summer will NOT import into FCPX. The latter will import into Premiere. But I am trying to work in FCPX, but maybe I shouldn’t be??
Any ideas? (screen shots below)

FYI Here is what Canon says
"There is another trick that works sometimes though. Try uninstalling the plugin and XF Utility. Then, install the latest XF Utility, followed by the plugin, in that order."
I did do this but no results. Otherwise they say I need to wait for a new plugin.

Here's 2013 Canon C300 files does import into FCPX. I thought it was Contents folder but another set of footage shot on C300 does import and there is no contents folder for that. -

I got a new computer and need to sync my iphone to it. I prepared for this by transferring most of my music to the new itunes library. I prepared a playlist to sync to my iphone then tried to sync. I pressed "erase and sync" but itunes didn't erase anything from my iphone, and then said there wasn't enough space to sync my playlist. I think if I can't get itunes to work i can always just restore it then sync which will be pretty much the same thing right?

Although you're not getting the specific error message, the steps should help with resolving your issue:
Turn off the music or photo sync option in iTunes for the device.
Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
Turn the music and photo sync options for the device on again.
Click Apply again to try to sync the device to iTunes.
If the 'Not enough free space' alert appears, continue to step 5.
Turn off the automatic syncing functions for the iOS device. To do this:
Select the iOS device from the iTunes window and click the Summary tab.
Deselect "Automatically sync when this device is connected" and select the "Sync only checked songs and videos" checkbox.
Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
Reduce the amount of data that is being synced to the device and resync the device. For example, if syncing your Music library exceeds the memory capacity of the device, choose "Selected playlists" to transfer rather than "All songs and playlists" under the Music tab in iTunes.
If the 'Not enough free space' alert appears, continue to step 6.
Restore using iTunes.

When i go into the iTunes store and try to update apps or buy apps/songs a window pops up stating:
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unkown error has occured (0x800B0109)"

iPhone 3G doesn't support Wi-Fi sync or IOS 5.1.1. You have to connect to iTunes using the dock connector to sync.
Unless you have a iPhone 3GS or jailbroken. -

I have updated to itunes 10.5 on my Mac computer and now it doesn't recognize my iphones and says i need to install a device driver but when i try to install it it throws up a notification saying an error occured and to contact the makers of my device 's suppot website. Anyone know?

iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone 4s.
Whenever I plug my iPhone into my computer it starts to charge like normal but iTunes does not recognize it. I've tried all of the troubleshooting steps provided by Apple (Downloading the latest iTunes version, reinstalling iTunes, updating the software on my phone, restarting my computer, etc). I've also looked at various tutorials on different websites that showed other methods. Among these methods were going into the control panel Device Manager or the Services program and taking certain steps within said programs. It seems I have tried everything under the sun to get iTunes to recognize my iPhone and so far nothing has worked. I have no idea what to do which is why I've resorted to this. Anybody know what might be going on? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit on my computer with the latest iTunes installed as previously stated. I've also just installed iOS 5.1.1 on my iPhone and this has not changed anything. If anyone has any idea what is going on and would like to tell me how to fix it, it would be much appreciated. To make sure it isn't the security software, you can either follow the steps in the article below, or you could just uninstall it and test again. Then reinstall it again when you're done.
