Itunes 10.2.2 freezing when I connect Iphone
I wonder if anyone can help me on this one.
I updated my Itunes to 10.2.2. on my G5 quad running OS 10.5.8. When I plug in my iphone(3gs) it can take 5 minutes for it to appear in itunes during which itunes hangs (spinning beachball). It eventually appears and takes forever to back up and sync anything. It is driving me mad. Any suggestions
From the iTunes menu bar click iTunes / Preferences then select the Devices tab.
Deselect: Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically
Click OK.

please advice what is to be done to repair it.Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

ITunes 11.2.1 freezes when I connect my iPhone 5. 'Application not responding'
Hi,
Recently I upgraded Mavericks. Since then I cant sync my phone anymore. iTunes works fine untill I plugin my phone. Then the spinwheel comes up and stays there forever. In dock it says 'Application Not Responding'.
iPhone 5, iTunes 11.2.1, Macbook Pro 10.9.3 2.6 GHz 8Gb
Does somebody can help me out? That would be very very nice!Hi BlackNikes
I had exact same problem, but have now resolved it. If your problem is the same as mine your SyncServices folders have been corrupted while itunes was updated.
See my post or spyder683 post at https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6223064?start=60&tstart=0
I am running Mavericks 10.9.3 and updated itunes to 11.2.0 and then experienced problems with itunes crashing, 11.2.2 didn't resolve the problem. I found iTunes worked fine if all my other devices (iphone, ipad, ipod) were turned off, as soon as I powered any one of them up and itunes detected them over wifi or USB itunes then froze with the dreaded colored ball spinning.
In Mavericks 10.9.3 the SyncServices folder is not visible going into the normal library/Application support folder, your instructions below took me to a different area in the system, or at least made these folders visible. Following your instructions I was able to locate and delete both SyncService & SyncServices folders and I launched iTunes again while my devices were powered up and the issue has gone. Bliss!!!
Many Thanks

Hi Culero,
The fix of deleting the SyncServices folder is for Mac systems. From your desktop / finder, click the "Go" menu at the top, then "Go to Folder ..." Paste this into the field: ~/Library/Application Support
The SyncServices folder should be in there. I had both a SyncService and a SyncServices folder. The second one should, when deleted, help with the problem you and I both had of iTunes freezing when an iOS device is plugged in.
Hope this helps -
Itunes 11.1.4 freezes when syncing with iphone
Itunes 11.1.4 Periodically freezes when not syncing. always freezes when starting to sync Iphone or ipad. sometimes gets far enough to see Message: "ITunes was unable to load data class information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later" Trying again later does not help. This did not happen with previous version of Itunes (for years)
Hello Zach,
It sounds like you are getting this error message when connecting your phone after a recent update. I recommend the troubleshooting in the following article to help you get a resolution:
iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1717
Start with the first steps to test iTunes in Safe Mode, and if needed, there is additional troubleshooting therein.
Start iTunes in Safe Mode
Open iTunes in Safe Mode to isolate any interference from plug-ins or scripts not manufactured by Apple.
Hold down Shift–Control while opening iTunes. You should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up.
Click Continue.
See if the issue you're experiencing persists in Safe Mode.
If you have the same issue while iTunes is in Safe Mode, proceed to the "Create a new user account" section. If you don't experience the same issue, follow these steps to remove third-party plug-ins.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
All the very best,

Hi I'm not very computer literate so pls be gentle! I bought an iPad air two days ago and synch my photos using iTunes just fine.
Today for some reason I noticed all these white thumbnails on my laptop in the photos section. Stupidly I deleted all 600 of them and all my photis on the iPad immediately vanished. Later I restored the photos from the recycling bin to my photos
However now I try to re synch them there is no option to synch from ' my pictures' just each little folder ( whereas before I had a drop down box and could select which folders I wanted) however when I synch iphone it does offer the option
Anyway even if I synch each folder it will kep replacing the last one so I can only ever have one folder of photos on the iPad if u see?
How can I transfer my photos please?
And how can I get the option back of the drop down box and tick as many folders as I want?
Many thanksor... put your photos in "My Pictures" in My Documents, and viola, itunes syncs it to the iphone. only one sentence needed =/
maybe im missing your point here, the long paragraph is mindboggling -
ITunes freezes when I connect iphone
I use itunes 7.5 and whenever I connect my iphone to itunes it freezes and locks up and I have to control alt. delete to get out. I've tried waiting 5-10mins for it to load. My iPod loads just fine; I just have a problem with my iphone connecting. I've uninstalled it many times trying to fix it; it doesn't work. When I do connect it the camera comes up for it fine. The closest i've gotten to connected is when itunes said "iphone is unable to connect because of software and to reinstall it. (I did it and still not working) It's annoying that I can't put any music on my phone. Does anyone have this problem and know how to fix it?
not using that software... i figured it was zonealarm so i took it off had to do all this registry stuff but its finally off and it still doesn't connect. Also, when I goto preferences - syncing it freezes on me other then that. When the iphone isn't connected... itunes works perfect.

ITunes 10.5 is freezing when I connect my iPhone 4, please help
I updated iTunes to 10.5, and not iTunes freezes (beachball thing) and I want to upgrade to iOS 5 but I can't if it keeps freezing. I have tried reinstalling iTunes. Any suggestions?
Me too! I waited a bit before I updated. Had no problem updating Itunes to 10.5. Phone update seemed to go smoothly.
This morning I noticed that my calandar wasn't allowing me to invite folks so I plugged it in to see if maybe there was a sync issue.
Now the whole thing is frozen.
I was trying to decide on getting an Ipad but right now an Iphone is probably all I can handle with all of these issues since I have to manage my husband's too! -
ITunes 11.1.1 freezes when I connect iPod Video
Ever since installing iTunes 11 on Windows 7 laptop, I can't plug in my iPod Video (5G) without crashing iTunes. Every update to iTunes does the same, including 11.1.1. My iPod works fine. iTunes 10 works fine (on a different computer). No way am I putting 11 on the other computer until this is resolved.
Well, I'm pleased to say that I solved the problem (but not the mystery). I tried all our Apple iDevices on my laptop (with iTunes 11.1.1), and they all worked OK, except the abovementioned 5G Video (including another 5G Video that I had). When the 2nd 5G Video worked, I realized the problem lied with the 1st iPod, so I did a "Restore" (to original settings), and that seemed to do the trick. I didn't think to do this before because the iPod worked fine otherwise, and worked with the old iTunes 10.7.
But here's the rub: I HAD to use the old iTunes 10 to do the restore...because iTunes 11 crashed before I could do a Restore. So, the mystery may never be solved, but at least all is now working. -

Itunes 10.1 Freezes when i connect my 32GB iPhone 3GS
Ever Since i updated my iTunes this morning it freezes when i connect the phone. When i unplug it it comes back. There are times that when i re plug it after a bit it works. My phone was acting up so I decided to restore it. But then i get the same problem again so i couldn't restore from back up. I been trying to figure out the solution to this problem since 7 AM in the morning EST. I been looking around the forums for similar problems but it didn't help. I followed steps from apple on this page: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/itunes/#section_7
That didn't help either. I been repeating all these steps plus more multiple times and nothing solved it. It just keeps freezing. I even Called out of work today just trying to Fix this dumb issue cause i can't be with out my phone PLEASE HELP!!I'm not sure what's causing this, but it has just started happening to me too. It has been happening with both my iPhone 4 and my wife's iPhone 3GS, but more with the 3GS.
I thought rebooting the machine had fixed the problem, but it happened again this morning.
A workaround that has worked successfully for me is this:
With iTunes not running, plug in the phone. iTunes should then start on its own and start syncing properly. If it doesn't start automatically, start it manually (with the phone already plugged in) and the sync should start. But starting it first and then plugging in the phone doesn't seem to work.
I'm running iTunes 10.1.2.17.
Edit:
Okay, I think I just got lucky with the suggestion above to plug in the phone with iTunes not running. That's not working for me anymore. What does work pretty consistently (though not always) it starting or restarting iTunes manually after the plug has already been plugged in. This may mean killing it from the task manager if it's frozen, or waiting for the freezing to wear off (which it does eventually, even though it never recognizes the device or starts a sync).
