ITunes 10.2.2 troubles

Hi!
Since I installed iTunes 10.2.2, it crashes every time I add new songs / albums to the library (or takes ages; 10 minutes for one album). This happens both with drag&drop and  "file>add to library..." (I have all my music on an external hard drive). Any suggestions? Thx

I found a fix but not in version 10.2.2 my solution is simply going back to 10.1.2(which worked fine for me). This is a FIX for MAC USERS ONLY WHO USE TIME MACHINE. I have not came across this problem on my windows 7 computer. but then again i rarely use itunes on that.
I accomplished this by using Time Machine. This should work depending on what you back up with Time machine specificallt the itunes folder and the applications folder. I tend to back up the entire MacBook.
1) Enter time machine
2) iTunes 10.2.2 came out April 18, 2011, So I looked for a backup date in Time machine right before that, Which thankfully for me it was April 3,2011
3) Once you found a backup date before April 18, 2011 then look for the iTune Application which then should have a last modified date of January 2011.
4)Restore that item whend asked keep both just in case. Once done restoring the App. Now restore the library items:
iTunes Library Extras,iTunes Library Genius,iTunes Library, and the Previous Library Folder. When asked do the same and Keep Both.
No need to copy the music folder becasue the music should be the same.
When you select KEEP BOTH option the most current items will renamed with this (original) after. For exmaple, itunes 10.2.2 will be renamed as itunes(original). If this method work you should be able to delete those.
