iTunes 10.4 can't backup the iTunes library files to CD/DVD

Uhhh. MacBook Pro or PowerBook?
You've got a PowerBook, as I think that's what you're saying - All MBP's are faster than 867mhz, which is the Leopard requirements so you MUST have a PowerBook G4 no? If so, there's a nifty firmware trick that you can use to get around the installer, but it is ONLY for Power PC macs, NOT Intel ones - and follow the directions to the letter.
http://lowendmac.com/osx/leopard/openfirmware.html - I used this to install Leopard on an 800mhz flat panel iMac, and the machine runs a treat!
QuickTime is slower than it was under Tiger, so VLC makes the stand-in for video and other than that, it handles iTunes fantastically.
And of course, the caveat is have everything backed up in case some part of the install goes pear-shaped.
Deb.
