ITunes 10.4 Deployment Documentation?

Forgive me if the answer is obvious, but I've looked all over and just haven't been able to find what I'm looking for...
Is there any "official" Apple documentation for packaging and deploying iTunes? Or perhaps a "customization wizard"?
I'm looking for answers to questions such as; where are the preferences stored and what files and registry settings
would need to be copied, etc.
Version 10.1.2.17 saved the preferences to the "iTunesPrefs.xml" files in %user%\AppData\Apple Computer\ITunes and
%user%\AppData\Apple Computer\iTunes, but at first blush it appears version 10.4.0.80 may be saving some information
elsewhere, also. But I'm having a tough time figuring out exactly where.
I'm using Wise Package Studio to create a transform... pretty simple with v10.1. Seem to be struggling a bit with v10.4,
so any help would be greatly appreciated.

In CKMLQS actual cost of prod for qty stru display at multilevel is displayed.
In CKM3N Price analysis is being shown for opn, receipt (Prod & Others), Cons and Closing stock.
Cost shown under CKMLQS will match with CKMN3 when you display cost comp view of Production Row of Receipt.
     Just goto Receipt row select it & click on left icon of costing cockpit it will bring the act prod cost comp structure
    > select base qty user entry > change qty 1 you will find the act cost comp mached with ckmlqs.

Won't allow me to use iTunes store while deployed

I'm using the American store and an american card and trying to buy american music in Qatar and it won't let me. I'm deployed with the US military and connecting with the same laptop I buy music over iTunes on back home. But now that I'm out here, it refuses to allow me to purchase anything and tells me to contact support. Any suggestions other than finding a US proxy IP.

You will will see from this you need iTunes 10.5.1 or later, and OSx 10.6.8.

Deploying iTunes and plugging an iPhone for the 1st time

Hello everybody,
I'm going tu upgrade iTunes to 9.2.1 on a feew weeks for the entire park.
I enabled the parental control to doesn not allow the acces to the Apple store.
I put the ipsw file on a network share.
So when iTunes will be deployed I will send a mail with the procedure, how to upgrate the iOS.
Here is the problem :
There are a lot of people who haven't synced their iPhone with iTunes.
So when they will plug for the first time their iPhone to the computer, iTunes will ask to register. So they will have to click on "Ask later". After that, an erreor occurs "problem to acces to iTunes Store" : that's noral because there is no access to the iTUnes store.
When we click on OK, at this time, finaly, we are on the main screen, and start the upgrate.
So there is the question :
Is there a way to skip all the introduce screen when an iPhone is plugged for the 1st time to a computer, and have the main screen directly?

D400: iTunes server doesn't show up in iTunes 9

Hello, I'm trying to setup the iTunes server and the documentation isn't too good.
I have music in the shared Music folder on the D400. I turned on the iTunes Server option. I expected to see a shared music source within iTunes but I see nothing. I'm using iTunes 9 and cannot see anything on a Mac or Win 7.
Is there anything I need to do? Can someone point me to better instructions on how the iTunes server is supposed to work?

Even though it was set to automatically update this was not occurring.
I clicked on the "Update Now" button on Settings and the server now appears in iTunes 9.

Can only import non-iTune songs

I have a new XP computer and want to import via CDs from older computer. Do not get import option for CD with iTunes songs, but do get it for non-iTunes CDs. Apple documentation says transfer of iTunes to a certain number of authorized computers is legal up to a certain amount of copies, but I can't get it to work even once. Can anyone help

I have the same issue it seems. I have the MP3 on the desktop and then drag it onto the music library of itunes 7. I did see the file appear for a moment but then disappeared.
I also tried puting the MP3 file into the itunes music library to see if it would show up but still not luck.
It appears to be a bug. I do hope that Apple Programmers are onto this issue.

.itl extension added to iTunes Library file

Until the 10.4 (80) update, there was no .itl extension on the iTunes Library file. I know this, because i have 9 different iTunes Libraries spread over 4 different external hard drives. I have created Automator "workflows" to switch from one Library to another (and make simultaneous backups). Following the 10.4 (80) update, my Automator "workflows" quit working until I discovered and made the change from "iTunes Library" to "iTunes Library.itl".
I'm wondering if this change was intentional or an oversight and if Apple intends to continue using the .itl extension. When changes like this are made, are they announced somewhere that I should know about? Numerous hours of work on changes to iTunes Libraries were lost when I switched between libaries before noticing the change. I'm guessing that other uses have been affected by the change and that many will not yet have figured out what the problem is. It would be nice if fairly significant changes like this were included in the update release notes. Maybe they were and I missed them?

The iTunes Library file is designed for use by the iTunes app only, so you're unlikely to see notification from Apple.
iTunes Music Library.xml is the public file, though of course not useful for your purpose.

In summary: if you want to make changes to files owned by apps you're on your own and should test new iTunes versions before deploying :-)

I have iTunes 11.0.2 and the Playlist still prints "scrunched up"...is there a fix?

I read all other posts about this problem from December 2012 and apparently the iTunes update fixed the problem. Not for me. I find myself having to use an older computer with a very old version of iTunes to print a CD insert. This seems like a very basic feature - why wasn't it tested before releasing iTunes 11?

Deploying Air package via Air installer

I am attempting to deploy a .air package as part of the Adobe AIR installer as detailed by the Adobe deployment documentation.
Adobe AIR 1.5.1 is stored under \\server\My Installs\Package\1.5.1 and the package is \\server\My Installs\Package\
I have configured a file called .airinstall.cfg (using Command Prompt as Windows Explorer will not allow leading dots) and the contents of the file are as follows:
..\package.air
However, upon running Adobe AIR Installer under an admin account (also tried using it renamed as package.exe) the egg timer appears briefly, disappears, then nothing happens. Neither AIR nor the package are deployed. I have tried changing the contents of the .airinstall.cfg file to the full path
\\server\My Installs\Package\package.air
However, this leads to the same issue. If I remove the .cfg file then the Adobe AIR Installer launches as expected.
Clearly there is something wrong with my .airinstall.cfg file, but checking the docs again I'm not sure what.

AIR file internally is a zip file, and if you upload this file on any web server, by default it will show up as zip file only.
To make the AIR file to open up with AIR installer, you need to set the MIME type of AIR file in the web server configuration.
There are many articles on net which talks about adding AIR MIME type in web servers.

No "Purchased" button in iPad's iTunes?

Hello,
It all began when I updated my iPad to iOS 5 and I lost my purchased music albums. I did a backup before but it seems it does not backup music, therefore I don't have the albums in the PC iTunes to synch them back into the iPad.
I read that I can download my purchased goods from the iCloud. It works well with all my apps (which were also gone but I downloaded them again).
My question is: since AppStore has a "Purchased" button, where is iTunes's?
P.S. Not available in Romania? Although buying music From iTunes is available.

Speech Recognition doesn't pause iTunes

I posted this in the Macbook forum, but people suggested I re-post here to see if anyone has this figured out -
I'm having a problem using Speech Recognition when iTunes is playing. The music interferes with my voice commands and I have to try several times before they are recognized.
According to the built in Help documentation on my Macbook, "You may prefer to use a listening key if you are in a noisy environment, or for greater control over when your speech is interpreted as a command by your computer. If iTunes is playing, iTunes will pause playing when you press the listening key."
I've tried that, but the listening key does not pause iTunes. Is the documentation wrong, or is my mac behaving badly? Any ideas on how to fix the issue?

Yes, I am using the Macbook's internal speakers. That's really where the problem lies, the speakers are so close to the microphone that SR has a hard time picking out my voice. Having iTunes pause or mute as the manual says would solve the problem.

Exchange 2013 Certificates for Hybrid Deployment Clarification

I have an Exchange 2013 servers (CAS and Mailbox on separate server) which I wanted to setup for Hybrid deployment. I already have a certificate acquired from 3rd party with 3 names (mail, autodiscover and owa). the certificate was installed in the
CAS server. As per the hybrid deployment documentation I need also to install a certificate in the mailbox server, questions:
1. Can I use the same certificate for installation in the mailbox server?
2. Can I also use the same certificate in the Hybrid Configuration wizard for the "certificate to use with securing the hybrid mail transport"?
3. Do I need to include the primary smtp domain (xxxxx.com) in the certificate since current configuration points to the mail.xxx.com as the certificate common name?

1. It depends.
The certificate used for hybrid secure mail transport must be installed on all on-premises Exchange 2013 Mailbox and Client Access servers.
If you're configuring a hybrid deployment in an organization that has Exchange servers deployed in multiple Active Directory forests, you must use a separate third-party CA certificate for each Active Directory forest.
2. Yes. But we recommend that you use a dedicated third-party certificate for any optional AD FS server, another certificate for the Exchange services for your hybrid deployment, and if needed, another certificate on your Exchange servers for other needed
services or features.
3. Yes. Here are the minimum suggested FQDNs that should be included on certificates: domain.com, autodiscover.domain.com, edge.domain.com

Most of the design time documentation is included in the Design-time tools (Builders). Specifically in the Builder Online Help. This information is no longer available on a web site. As for Forms 6i, hardly any of that information is available on the Oracle site any longer. That version has been obsolete for several years.
