If you have a 2G iPod. that can only go to 4.2.1. The 1G iPod can only go to 3.1.3. I supose that you have one of those and by support, I think Apple meant that they will issue no more updates for those models. The iPod will continue to work with iTunes.

I've been trying to down load the new itunes version and I'm stuck on All your music in one place but now it's been stuck there for over 20 minutes. Do I need to start over or is this normal?
The sort fields should generally be empty unless you've putting in custom values to sort solo artists by their surnames. You can apply common changes to thousands of tracks at once, just don't apply the wrong change because there is no undo.
It is a good idea to backup before undertaking large scale changes. See this backup tip for a suggested approach.

Suddenly when I print screen the result is .png not .pdf as it allways have been. Any explanation?

SteinarThe default has always been PNG. You must have changed the default some time in the past. It can easily be done with 3rd party utilities, i.e., TinkerTool, Secrets, MacPilot, etc..
Personally, I prefer using "jpegs."

in FCE, you have to set the resolution of your 'project' manually.
you did choose 'Standard' (720x480)
now, when you add HiDef to a SD 'sized' sequence, it has to get downscaled..
ctrl-('right')-click your sequence, choose Settings
click Load Sequence Presets
select a 'HiDef' one, as AppleIntermediate '1920x1080/60' (I suppose, you're in the US?) -

My daughter forget her password and now her ipod touch is disabled. Red message says to connect to itunes. When I do connect to itunes, the device is not recognized and then a message comes on the screen that says it is locked and to enter the password to access it. I cannot access the password and since itunes does not recognize the device, it does not come up on the list on the left, i cannot reset it. What do I need to do so she can use her ipod touch again? Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

ITunes Store does not fully appear on screen
The iTunes store does not fully "load" on screen. It takes 2-3 minutes for just a few images to appear and then it stops. Everything else about iTunes is functioning completley well as are all of my other internet connections/processes. This problem has existed for around one month and we have upgraded to iTunes 9. I own toshiba laptops. Both computers have the latest itunes software. However the 'show menu' does not appear on the screen?
Thanks for the response diesel. I dont think I clarified my question very well. I'm trying to do home sharing between mine and my wifes computers. The intructions say:
Log in as the same user on each computer.
Ensure both are current version.
Choose the correct list in sharing ie Music
Then in the 'show menu' at the bottom of the screen, choose items not in my library.
I do not have the show menu to select any songs.
Any help appreciated.

Is there a way to stop the print screen from dropping down on top of the page to be printed. Can the print screen be moved? When the print screen drops down, it covers the page and the info needed to create the file. Thank you
You will find that this is application dependent. Most Apple applications such as Safari and Mail will use the "sheet" type of dialog boxes that you are referring. There is no way for the user to change that behavior. Other, non-Apple, applications like Firefox use a "modal" dialog box for printing etc. The modal boxes can be moved around so you can see the page behind.

When I open itunes, "Devices" does not appear t all in the left column on the screen. I can not sync my ipod with my itunes library. Suggestions?
If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

While written for the iPhone, the troubleshooting below can help resolve issues with your iPad's camera, as well.
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

iPad 2 froze while updating iOS 7.0.4. When connected to PC & iTunes get the message in recovery mode, must restore. I have followed the steps to restore and still have the iTunes screen showing and iTunes still does not recognize device.

I updated my Itunes the other day and now, when clicking on the itunes icon, the program does not open?? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, resetting the computer, checking permissions, running as adminstrator.. nothing is working?? Help!!
Amazing steps you've done so far! The great news is this is very unlikely an issue with your iPhone.
I've run into a similar issue lately as well. I narrowed it down to one song that was causing 30 songs not to sync. I removed the song from the sync list (unchecked it) and all 29 songs were able to sync.
You may be running into a similar issue. This may be a problem with this version of iTunes, an issue with one song or a group of songs; hard to know for sure. It's important to narrow down and isolate the cause. Most imporantly get that music back on there!
The way to narrow down the casue add just a few songs at a time (even 1, just to get that first sync finished). Manually syncing is what you'll need here.
Plug in your iPhone, on the Summary screen (shows a picture of your iPhone, the iOS version, Restore iPhone....; etc). Under the Options area at the bottom choose to Manually Manage Videos and Music then choose Apply in the lower right. The music that's on your iPhone now should be removed from your iPhone now. You're now able to sync music manually.
The link below explains how to drag the songs from the iTunes library on the computer on to your iPhone which will start the sync. Add just one song just to see if you can get 1 of those hundreds of songs on there. If you can, awesome! Keep adding until you find the song or group of songs that are causing this issue.
