Itunes 10.4 won't let me paste info.

Command + v doesn't work in the info screen. When I push the command it goes to previous song. The command works in all of the other programs and Command + x/c also works in the info screen of Itunes. I'm using lion as OsX

The entire editing interface seems to have been messed with in the latest update. Running the latest iTunes 10.4 (updated yesterday) but still with Snow Leopard on a 2 year old MacBook. Can copy and paste, but the autofill from previous data already in the library no longer functions, and the tab key no longer moves you to the next column. Also, the mouse's ability to highlight portions of the data doesn't seem to work quite right. It takes two mouse clicks to start highlighting from the location of the cursor, instead of click/hold/highlight (if you can tell what I mean).
Don't even get me started on the update changing my default library location!

Comments secton of iTunes 10.4 won't let me paste my podcast show notes

I have created over 300 episodes of my podcast, and have always put my show notes in the comments section of iTunes, where they become embedded into the podcast mp3 file. But with this latest version of iTunes (10.4) when I try to paste my show notes into comments, I get an error tone. Nothing will paste in. It will allow me to type a short entry, but not nearly as many characters as previous versions allowed.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a new method we are supposed to use in order to add our show notes to an audio file?

If they are running 10.6.1, they have not updated their computer in almost two years and regardless of iTunes, they really should update.
The posted system requirements have been flaky in the past. A few versions of iTunes required 10.4.11 or 10.5.6 or later. Don't kow if it would not work with 10.5.0 through 10.5.5 but the way it was worded, implied it would not but IIRC, it did actually work

The new iTunes 12 Get Info dialog lacks right-click context menus (at least for now) but it still accepts most standard keyboard shortcuts and drag & drop actions.
Delete Artwork
On the artwork tab of Get Into, tap the image in question, use Backspace or Ctrl+X. Delete doesn't work.
Or, tap the image at the top left of Get Info, this time use Backspace or Delete, it is Ctrl+X that doesn't work.
Add Artwork
Select artwork, press Ctrl+C to copy, tap the centre of the Artwork tab, press Ctrl+V to paste.
Or, select artwork, press Ctrl+C to copy, tap the small image area at the top left, press Ctrl+V to paste.
Or, you can drag & drop to, or sometimes from, the same locations.
You can also copy artwork from the Get Info dialog to Windows Explorer with the keyboard shortcuts.
If the source image is on a web page right-click and use Copy Image rather than copy. (With Chrome I get a one pixel wraparound so tend to go for a temporary local copy anyway - not sure whose bug this is, but it isn't new.)
If you have multiple images embedded drag the one you want to be the primary artwork to the leftmost position.
Replace/Remove All Artwork
The top left image box can be used to add or delete art from multiple tracks. In either case all existing artwork in all tracks is replaced/removed.

Just did the Update (ML 10.8.4) after receiving a new HD since mine crashed last week and the shop didn't update it back to Mavricks which I had previously done...and now my Mac won't let me past the log in screen even with correct password entered. It just spins like I'm logging in and then goes back to the user log in screen. I did the process where I restarted and pressed control S and created a new user and password, but once created same issue and can't get passed that screen.
Super frustrated and any help is appreciated!

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.

I have bought full access to it.

1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
3. Check the USB cable
4 Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
6. If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job
7. Check for third-party software conflicts.

So it sounds like you have a preorder you would like to download, but it is not downloading, or you dont have the option to download it.
Without knowing what the preorder was, and if it is released, I found this article named iTunes Store: About Pre-orders found here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5714.

When a pre-order item becomes available, you will receive an email letting you know your pre-order is available for download.
If you've enabled iTunes to automatically download prepurchased content, then your pre-order content may already be downloaded to your library. Alternatively you can use the "Check for Available Downloads" feature in iTunes on your computer by choosing Store > Check for Available Downloads to begin downloading your pre-order.
To view, cancel, or see the expected release dates for your pending pre-orders
Choose Store > View My Appie ID, then click Manage Pre-orders, which located in the Settings section at the bottom of the Account Information screen in iTunes on your computer.
From the Mange Pre-orders screen, click the Cancel button to the right of the pre-order item you would like to cancel. You'll be asked to confirm your pre-order cancellation.
If the album is released and you still cannot download it, I would report the issue directly to the iTunes Store support.

You will need to Restore it as a New Device...

1: Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

This is useful if you need to install just one file out of a package instead of the entire package
