ITunes 10.5.2.11 doesn't launch for the second time on Windows 7, 64 bit.

I have iTunes 10.5.2.11(The latest as of now) on a WIndows 7, 64 bit PC. iTunes launches itself properly for the first time after my system boots, but, when I close iTunes and try to open it once again(without booting again), it's like the computer didn't get my instruction, the iTunes icon only clicks, but, it doesn't open. When I check the running programs with the Task Manager, iTunes isn't there. But, in processes, iTunes *32 is listed(This is after I tried launching it for the second time). If I end this process(and also the process tree), and then try to open iTunes, the window of iTunes appears, but, it just sits there like a brick!
Can somebody please help me. Thank you.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Well... it said iPhone Recovery Mode, and I pressed 'Restore iPhone' after which it asked me if I am sure that I want to restore the phone to factory settings, I pressed 'yes'. After 20-30min it eventually came to the 'Hello' page where I had to sign in with my Apple ID, and then saw the icons of each of my apps. which one by one turned from grey to their full colour as they downloaded one by one. After 1-2 hours of having completed all the app downloads, I found the phone shut and could not turn it on with the normal way. And this happened after 2 restore sessions. Is there something I need to do, or I need to request a replacement. I have had the phone for 11months, and crushing problems begun on the 13 of Nov, which was a few days after I updated to iOS7. I got a new laptop and downloaded iTunes, when I put new music on it for the first time, my entire music library disappeared, leaving me with only newly downloaded music in my library. My iPod still has all my old music.

Is there any way to fix this?

Also-I tried to use my backup hard drive, but I wasn't able to drag/transfer/send/move any of my muic files onto my iTouch when the iTouch was connected to my computer. I can't figure out why it won't let me do that.
The only thing I can see when I open my iTouch on my computer is my file with photos. I can't see videos, music, or anything else. What's going on?

ITunes match deletes all my music from my iPhone (the second time now)

This is the second time my music app is empty. It shows all my songs in the cloud but i have to download all the songs again. Whats interresting is, i have to delete the albums first because there is no cloud symbol in "albums" and "artists" so i cant download "all songs" in an album yet. Then every song must be downoad again. Thats really wired and aaargh!!! What can i do? Nothing, right? In the settings app the number of songs also show up even after "deleting" the deleted songs...

to be honest i hadn't heard about it happening in itunes 6 till i read your post, there seems to be a lot of people getting this problem in itunes 7 though.. so you're not the only one there..
however i can't offer any solution because i don't have a clue..

For the second time my itunes libary has gone!

this is the second time this has happened, i open itunes and low and behold absoultly nothing and to say the least i wasnt happy about it. does anyone know why this keeps happening and by looking at the other topics it's not only me. so is it the new itunes 7 software? and does anyone know what file i need to back up if i want to keep all my itunes libary data? and does anyone know anyways to get the data back?
p.s i still have the music files but i still want to keep all my play counts, ratings and so on.

For the second time in a few weeks, I have opened Itunes to find nothing

Apparently new versions if Itunes cause my intunes app to forget everything.
This is the second time I have opened my itunes to find NO MUSIC.
Last time I "reloaded" which had the result of doubling songs on playlists, and interjecting things I never had before, and even giving some wrong names, etc.
If this is what my XP is going to do with Itunes, I guess I will need to find a different music player

I wish that iTunes was more resilient to whatever is going on, but having now seen plenty of reports where the library has remained stable after removing AVG I must assume that it was the prime factor in those cases. My belief is that a recent change in AVGs scanning engine causes it to hang on to the temporary files that iTunes needs to make in a way that disrupts iTunes and leaves iTunes with a missing library. With iTunes in the normal location of <User's Music>\iTunes it then creates a new blank library as if just installed.
If you've not been able to use my instructions to restore a working libray then perhaps I've been too terse. Let me try again...
Rename the current iTunes Library.itl file in your iTunes folder as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl
Select a suitable file from the Previous iTunes Libraries folder and copy it. (Highlight and use right-click menu or press CTRL+C)
Paste the selected file (use menus or CTRL+V) into the main iTunes folder and rename the file (use menus, click in the filename or press F2) as iTunes Library.itl
If you have the patience you may be able to find a suitable .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that holds a more recent version of your library and can be restored using the same copy & rename technique, however the other files will hold rubbish so that could take time. To bring the restored library file up to date use File > Add folder to Library and select your media folder.
If you still have AVG installed then that may be part of the reason for the lack of success. How many .tmp files are there in your iTunes folder at present. In the normal course of things there shouldn't be any except one, briefly, as iTunes updates one of its files.

What change to the firewall Java is trying to make when it is launched for the first time?

We are upgrading our jpi from 7u60 to 7u67. We are running EBS 12.1. We are having issues trying to deploy this to the organization with zero prompts and messages. We are getting a firewall prompt from the plugin the first time we launch EBS. What change to the firewall is java trying to make when we launch the plugin from EBS the first time? I have attached screen shots of the messages we are seeing. The first screen shot is on Windows 7x86 and the second is on Windows 7x64. The x86 is prompting for jp2launcher.exe
while the x64 is prompting to allow java.exe. This is the same software package for both instances and we are using the IE 32-bit browser.

You haven't downgraded the iOS or lost any features, what you've done is restored your phone from an old iOS backup.

My iphone is not recognised on either my computer (windows 7) or in the latest itunes that i downloaded. It was recognised for a short time but windows media player asked to open my pictures and i clicked ok. I also started downloading the newest software

The ONLY program you need for an iPhone on Windows 7 is iTunes. Remove whatever the other program is, then remove and re-install iTunes as diesel vdub recommends.

Your iPhone is in Recovery Mode. You can try this to get it out of it:
Unplug the device from the USB cable if it's connected. Then hold down the sleep/wake button until it turns off. Let go of the button and then hold it down again until the Apple logo reappears. Let it go and the device may boot up.
This only works, of course, if your device was working properly previously. Otherwise, or if that doesn't get it back to normal operation, you'll need to to try to restore it:

Need Help Rejected from itunes For the Second Time

Hello, I just wanted to know does anybody know why my feed get getting rejected from itunes, I talk to tune support team,when thru all the tech spec, pass the feed validation, and upload the podcast to a least 10 different computers and it work perfect. This is what i keep getting from itunes

You will understand that this is a user-to-user forum and I don't have access to the inner workings of the Store; so what I have to say is effectively guesswork.
There appears to be no technical problem with your feed - that at least isn't a guess - but your podcast consists of 'mixes' of recordings which you list. A possible explanation is concern that you are making use of copyright material for which you haven't either obtained written permission from the copyright owners, or a valid podcasting licence from a recognized authority. Making use of commercially issued (or indeed any) material without the permission of the owners is a breach of copyright, and is one of the reasons listed by Apple for podcast rejection (the others don't appear to apply here) - Apple could be be held jointly liable and sued (as could you).
If you have in fact obtained the necessary clearances you will need to find some way of communicating this to Apple.

If your 'iTunes Library' file is damaged and you don't have a recent copy of it, I'm afraid you will have to rebuild your library.
You will loose all playlists, ratings, date added an podcast subscriptions.
Trash the 'iTunes Library' file in ./Users/YourUsername/Music/iTunes.
Open iTunes. You will have an empty library. Drag and drop the 'iTunes Music' folder on the empty library.
The 'iTunes Music' folder is default at ./Users/YourUsername/Music/iTunes.
If you stored your music at another location, drag and drop that folder.
