Itunes 10.5.3.3 still crashes on Windows 7 with /without shuffle in cradle
Apple Support- I spent $250 to have my music backed up and Itunes and quicktime un and re (installed) after my laptop stopped rebooting due to trying to fix the latest itunes version. Today again after trying every possible usb combination of reconnecting (only my cradle) my shuffle 2nd generation Itunes still crashes seconds after opening.
What the **** is going on!!
Get it fixed or do a press release!
After a complete lack of customer service from apple the new update today solved whatever the problem was.

iTunes 11.3.0.54 consistently crashes on my Windows 7 laptop, always when it tries to do something that depends on a connection with Apple (such as connecting to the Store, or Match). When I start iTunes in safe mode, everything works fine, including Store and Match. This article instructs me to remove all plugins, but it turns out that I don't have any (and yes, I do see hidden files). How can I fix this? Can I always start iTunes in safe mode, for example with a command line parameter?

ITunes 10.0.1.22 still crashes when trying to sync iPod Touch or iPhone 3GS
The crash occurs every time iTunes is syncing with the two devices and at the forth stage when iTunes is copying music to the devices, and it seems to occur when one of the songs purchased at iTunes Store is being copied??? Is there any utility to check the integrety, etc of the mpeg 4 files in my iTunes Library??? IF it is this one song that is causing the crash, am I entitled to get the song again from the iTunes Store without charge?

Me too- Crash on my podcast sync, but I'm able to transfer purchases in. My second 2g iphone is the same. My iPad syncs audio/all just fine. I wasn't interested in upgrading to 10 for this very reason, but I had to. I have it backed up to itunes on a W7 netbook. I then try to use my main computer. I have to setup as a new phone. Everything else syncs until the audio. Same account, same network, same shares but I have to pick a computer. Great Plan! This has been broken for a month. Is there a phone number for support of my 275 apps?

Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me with a solution to my itunes crashing during every syncing process. I have tried so many things like deauthorizing and reauthorizing, deleting and reinstalling itunes and related components. I have even tried a windows reboot. Unfortunately, none of these have worked so far I have though about restore the phone's settings, but I don't know the repercussions of that, and it is not allowing me to backup without crashing. Can someone please help me in rectifying this problem????????????
Try this one and see if it helps:
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes, Sync and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Acrobat Pro 10.1.1.33 crashes on Windows 7 with latest updates
Today I updated Acrobat X Pro to the latest version, and Windows 7 32 bit too. When I select the menu option Preferences in Acrobat, Acrobat crashes. Before there was an error message displayed via a dialog window, but now there no message. The Acrobat window simply disappears. As I recall, the error message was related to Visuall C++ and it said something about a virtual function.

Sorry I cannot provide more details as I don't know much about error reporting under Windows. I'm running Windows 7 as a guest in VirtualBox 4.12.I too saw this behavior but can not reproduce it. I just installed Acrobat X last week and it has given me intermittent trouble since then. Immediately after installing, it required a system reboot and it changed my screen resolution from the native 1920x1200 to 1280x800. The following day, the laptop's screen went on an acid trip, then had a whiteout, something that has never happened in its 4.5 years. It worked perfectly on reboot and that has not happened again. Then a mac user sent me a gigantic pdf (18mb for 6 pages), with one missing page as an addendum. In trying to insert the missing page, Acrobat locked up my system multiple times, giving out of memory error messages (it has 4mb physical RAM, can use 3.25mb). I finally got Acrobat to work when it came out of being locked up and it changed the screen resolution to 1280x800 again. Needless to say, I did my business in the lower resolution and saved, then closed Acrobat. After rebooting and changing the resolution back, I opened the new file with no other programs open and reduced the file size so that it is now under 2.5mb. Acrobat still balked at opening the smaller file until I started opening programs one by one with Task Manager and Resource Monitor running. I finally got Acrobat to work with all of my regular programs running and it now seems to be working OK. Today I scanned a 9 page document with no problems and with Word and Outlook running, along with some other stuff.
I'm thinking that the video problem may be related to the video driver, but it's an older laptop and there's no Win7 driver for it, so I'm running a Vista (gasp!) driver. I used one other program that caused so many video problems on this system (shame on you, Media Center) that I had to quit using it. Does anyone know of any settings that I can tweak to make my life easier? And yes I know that I need to start looking for a new computer, but this one has treated me well and I just dropped a whole bunch of my cash on Acrobat X, so I'm not going to be in the market for a few months. In the meantime, I need Acrobat to work. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks in advance. -
I am unable to Disable Flash Player hardware acceleration if it keep crashing as I am unable to access. I have cleared, reinstalled, etc.... and tried everything on these forums. I have also submitted crash reports to Firefox.
Hi userSharonD, if Flash newer than Flash 11.2 causes problems, there's a good chance that is due to the protected mode feature added in Flash 11.3. It has security benefits, but is not compatible with all systems for some reason.
You can disable the feature by creating or editing a settings file. The following pages/posts provide different ways to do that:

Another Skype crashing on Windows 7 with the new u...
My Skype has never crashed until this update. I would delete skype and reinstall it and then it would work again for the rest of the night, until the next time I loaded it up to use again. Now that isn't working anymore. I did the Event Viewer thing people have been telling others to do here, but I have no idea how to read what's wrong and how I can fix it.

Itunes crashes on Windows Vista
Two months ago i've posted a question that could be solved by an update with the nforce/nvidea driver. But even after updating this driver vista still crashes (a blue screen with "page fault in nonpaged area 0x0000050) while syncing with my ipod video. My hp notebook tx1120us with nforce driver version 5.47a and Itunes 7.2.0.34. If someone could help me.... thanks
okay. try downloading fresh definitions and running vigorous virus and spyware scans too. (0x50s can be produced by malware.) if your security software providers offer them, try running "online" scans too. (they can sometimes pick up an infection even if the software on the PC has been compromised.)

My laptop recently crashed and is unsalvageable with my itunes library on it. My ipod still has all of my music still on it.
Is there a way that I can put the songs on my ipod onto itunes on my new computer without loosing them or having to buy them all over again?Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your ipod. Only if you back up your iPod manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your ipod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your iPod for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the ipod for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

My PC Windows 7 hard drive crashed. I have a new hard drive. But i lost all my CD's that i had burned onto iTunes. They are all still on my iPhone 4s, but when i sync, only the purchased songs will import. Is there anyway to retrieve them? Thanks!
Restore your library from your most recent backup (you do keep regular backups, I hope). If the hard drive is in any way salvageable it may be possible to mount it in an external enclosure, connect it to your PC, and retrieve data from it even if it is not functioning as a primary OS drive (if you don't have the kit necessary to do this, your local PC repair shop may be able to help). Failing that, you can always recreate your library by re-importing your CDs.

I have unlocked my iPhone 3G with Vodafone via iTunes, but now the downloaded apps crash immediately when opened. I've tried a Restore, but this didn't help. I've also tried removing all apps and re-installing them, but they still don't work. Any ideas? Thanks.
yep, unfortunately can't reset without the passcode either.
With regards to doing a restore, do you mean:
open itunes on my computer
click on my device on the left
go to the device summary
click restore
it then asks if i want to back up before i restore (to which i say no)
then it asks me if i'm sure I want to restore to factory settings and that all of me media and data will be erased and replaced with the newest version ( to which I say yes)
then it takes about 90 mins to do this but when I look at my phone, everything is exactly the same.
Am I missing something? Obviously I'm technologically challenged, but I HAVE to get to the bottom of this! -
My itunes is still crashing when it says itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. Can someone please tell me what I need to do because I cannot find the discussion thread that was discussing this these past few days.
Is there going to be a fix to this from Apple? I am really getting discouraged with my IPOD Nano 4th generation, because I can't get it synched. Any suggestions and/or steps that I need to take? What do I do with all the extra libraries and where can I find them? Thank you for your help.I would also like to add that this error comes up when I am trying to add music to the library and when I am downloading items from the iTunes Store. I have incomplete downloads and I have also lost one download that I was not able to get because of the iTunes crashing.
If anyone has any suggestions, I am open up for any.

It is the second time I update iTunes, 11.1.4 and 11.1.5, and iTunes still crash randomly... As I guess and I read, I am not the only one suffering this behavior. Please Apple, can you fix this... it is quite a nuisance.

"iTunes has stopped working, Windows is searching for the problem" - Then a window pops up saying that Windows has discovered that an update (fix) for iTunes is available and to click the link to update. Well, of course there is no update as I am using the latest version. I tried uninstalling, re-installing, to no avail then found an older version of iTunes, tried that but sorry....now that doesnt work either because "iTunes cannot read blah blah blah file because it came from a newer version of iTunes". I still havent found a solution. -

Hm... Strange.
I had reset the iPhone.
I tried disabling the auto-launch of iPhoto, and...
...when I plugged iPhone in, it started to freeze iTunes, but after a minute or so, the iPhone started synching. I found this odd because I had disabled auto-sync (I press Sync in iTunes when I want to have it Sync).
Now, of course, I do want auto-launch of iPhoto back on, since I like it for when I attach my digital cameras. I hope that when I set it back, it won't re-introduce the problem.
The restart I did may have helped. I resist restarting because my wife's account is often open and she frequently leaves unsaved files up, so it is a pain to respectfully close out her work and then restart.
