Itunes 10.5.3.3can't re-open after closed

I have a problem with itunes 10.5.3.3 (64 bit), after i closed itunes and i want to re-open again it doesn't open. Now i'm using windows 7.. Then, itunes can work again after restart the computer...Anyone do u have suggestion to fix this problem? Thank u

Don't cry ;-)
It's no problem!!! Do you always download iTunes from Apple? http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Have you installed any software some days ago? Espacially Anti-Spam may block it.
Please one more time uninstall iTunes by the Windows settings. All your data should stay! Then install it new from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and restart computer before opening iTunes. Does it now work?
Is there any help over here? http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/troubleshooting/
If you're fine with this, please mark it as helpful or even best answer. Thank you!
If you're not okay with this, remember me and I will try to help you further!

  • Itunes v10.5.2 will not re-open after using it and closing it once on my Windows XP computer.

After installing the latest version of itunes, v10.5.2, on my Windows XP computer, I find that once I close itunes, it will not re-open until I restart my computer.  The itunes icon remains in my system tray and is unresponsive.  The only way I can use itunes after opening and closing it once is to restart my computer.  I've checked for updates and support guidance on itunes.com to no avail.  I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it did not fix the problem.  I was not having this problem with the previous version of itunes.  Any advice.

Have you tried the following option also?:
    - Close the frozen itunes using task manager
    - In task manager go to the 'process' tab
    - Find and select 'APSDaemon.exe'
    - Click 'end process' then close the task manager
    - Re-open iTunes.

  • ITunes Unexpectedly Re-Opens after Closing

I just reformatted my laptop and upon installing iTunes 6.0.3.5, I noticed that iTunes, after closing it, will relaunch a few times, usually two.
I figured maybe it was something with the software version, so I just updated to 6.0.4 and it does the exact same thing. I never did this before I cleaned off my laptop and I was curious to see if anyone else had a similar problem, and hopefully a solution.

  • How do i get the download window to remain open after closing firefox browser window

i sometimes download a bunch of files all at ones then have to go back to review them. but i don't need the browser open to do this just the download window. in older versions the download window would remain open after i closed the browser but i don't see a way to do that anymore?

You can set the pref browser.download.manager.quitBehavior to 2 on the about:config page.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.download.manager.quitBehavior
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />

  • Itunes not opening after closing

I installed iTunes 6 and after the installing and agreements and all that stuff, it was open. I was glad cuz I had to go through some steps first to get it to even show up. Everyone is having problems with this and personally it's starting to **** me off. So after getting it open FINALLY, I closed it cuz the music store was not working, it just showed that little bar but never went to the store. So now that I've closed it, it won't open again. What's wrong with it now?

OK so at some point you got the "iTunes has experienced an error and needs to close. Do you want to send the error to Microsoft?" error. follow the instructions at the link below to repair iTunes and uninstall quicktime. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302372,
If this does not work, your library may have becomed corruppt or you may have to do the stand alone install of quicktime.
Just post back and tell us if this fixes your problem or not

  • ITunes re-opens after closing the application down.

Lately, after I click the 'x' to close down iTunes, my computer slows down a bit, and iTunes opens itself back up and is mostly black instead of the normal color and look. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Alright heres the thing: Gimme Some Tune has to be deactivated just before iTunes. Therefor I wrote a very short script but now I have to quit iTunes by activating this.
Here comes the source .... wait for it .......... code:
    tell application "GimmeSomeTune" to quit
    tell application "iTunes" to quit
Anything beyond that exceeds my AppleScript "knowledge". So maybe someone with a little bit more skill can pick up the idea and write a script that opens iTunes, waits for the "cmd+q" and then shuts GST right before iTunes? Would really appreciate it!

  • ITunes 10.4 10.5.2; not opening after agreeing to license agreement

Hey, I recently purchased an ipod touch, but my iTunes 10.4 (I think it was 10.4.2) told me that I needed 10.5+ to compatible with the device "iPod Touch"
(something to that effect) and would not show my iPod (it showed my older iPod shuffle just fine). So, naturally I set out to update iTunes. It's normally a very frustrating prospect for me because I've always had to delete that folder after a few hours of being frustrated at the security errors it would spew out when I didn't (and it would promptly close the installer after each error). I deleted that folder before installing, and as expected, iTunes installed perfectly without an error; I didn't even need to completely uninstall (which I usually have to). I did re-install Quicktime 7, because it wasn't in an installer with iTunes this time.
Anyways, I was reassured by my successful installation that I would be able to put many songs onto my new ipod touch, but after clicking the itunes shortcut and clicking "Agree" on the "Software License Agreement" a few times, I realized that iTunes would not open. After searching this support website, I found a few other questions (with no answers) with the same problem. I then opened task manager and watched as I clicked the iTunes shortcut.
First, the agreement popped up and "iTunes.exe" appeared in the Processes tab of task manager
Then, I clicked Agree, and "iTunes.exe" disappeared from the Processes tab
So, what do I do? I've already tried re-installing 10.5.2 and even uninstalling and then installing it again.
Installing an older version (10.4 or less) is not an acceptable answer because I am doing this to sync/link my ipod touch to my copy of itunes)
Also, may one person, who has iTunes 10.5.2 working respond to this question so that I know it does work for at least a few people?
    Thanks in advance for help.

Finally got it working, I had to delete two solitary files in an iTunes folder.
    C:\ProgramData\Apple Computer\iTunes\SC Info
Delete the only two files that are in this folder. Please note that it is a hidden folder.
After they have been deleted, iTunes should work (it did for me)
This may not work if your iTunes.exe process (viewable with task manager) turns off after the license agreement. I solved that problem by updating quicktime.
iTunes 10.5.2 doesn't update quicktime like all the previous installers did.

  • ITunes 10.5.2 on Vista - will not re-open after closing

Since upgrading iTunes to the latest version it does not work properly. It starts up ok when I start the PC but if i then close iTunes then I cannot re-open it. Nothing happens when I click the icon. If I look in Task Manager then iTunes shows as a process but it is not using any CPU.
    Any advice?

I have resolved the problem by a completely uninstalling all Apple products using Revo Uninstaller Pro and reinstalling iTunes.
    I got the instructions from : http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/23959/completely-remove-itunes-and-other-apple-so ftware-from-a-windows-computer/
Revo does more than standard uninstall and clears the registry.
Revo was availale on 30 Days Trial and CCleaner is free.

  • ITunes 10 re-opens after closing it

Funny (but annoying) thing actually. When I try to quit (cmd+q) iTunes while a song is playing it instantly re-opens. But this only occurs every second time that iTunes is opened.
Was this explanation understandable? If not, let me know and I'll give it another try.
So is anyone experiencing the same issue? Or is there already a thread regarding that topic existing? I was too lazy to go through all the iTunes 10 threads, which are (unfortunately) way too many.
One more thing: I installed and then uninstalled iTunes 109 (a program that brings parts of the iTunes 9 interface back) and I have no idea if I had this problem before. Also deleted the apple.com.itunes.plist file in the preferences but it didn't solved it.

Alright heres the thing: Gimme Some Tune has to be deactivated just before iTunes. Therefor I wrote a very short script but now I have to quit iTunes by activating this.

  • ITunes will intermittently fail to retain my library after closing.

I am running Windows 7 and keep all my music on an external HD. After adding the folder of music and videos and books and applications and shut down the program ad re-starting, iTunes acts like its the first time its been run on my system. It retains absolutely nothing. I restarted once and the first time it did retain, yet the second time I re-started it after cleaning up a boatload of duplicates it reverted right back to being the first time I opened the program with no recollection of any of my files imported from last time which was just about 2 hours ago. I exported the library this time and now am re-adding that folder to the application which is taking quite a long time being I have 14k+ songs and numerous videos to import yet again. This has been happening off and on for about 7 months now and it is quite frustrating. If by any chance I happen to try to sync my iPad or iPod with iTunes it thinks I am a new user again even though the application still has the last sync listed in the preferences menu. I am at the end of my rope here and feel that this program has now left me with two unusable devices that I paid quite a bit of $ for. Please Apple, offer some relief! I have uninstalled and reinstalled all apple applications as one support rep instructed me to do. That was about 5 installations ago in the last 2 months. I have read through so many of these topics and see no answer to this issue.
    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW! Thanks to all who directed me to Sony for this issue. I have downloaded the update http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2715 (which by the way would not run for the first few times stating it was an update for Vista even though I chose the Windows 7 OS and the page showed was for 7.) I have rebooted about 4 times so far and everything is still in iTunes. Oh thank you all.... BTW I had my computer in with the Sony Backstage guys for a tune up a few months ago and I explained this issue to them. They had no idea and recommended I go over to the Apple store in the Mall. I would think they should be versed on various software related issues which can create trouble for users of their products just as they are versed in the nuts and bolts of how to save this, and move that, and make backup disks, and read my email. : ) Keeping my fingers crossed.
All this technology conflict.... Can't we all just get along???

  • With Windows 7 (64 bits), Firefox still open after closed

    Hello,
I am running Firefox 3.6.8 on Windows 7 (64 bits).
When I close Firefox, it stays open and you cannot reach it.
If you try to start Firefox again. It refuse because another occurence is running.
The way to solve is to close the running occurrence using the task manager.

  • Cursors remained open after closing connection

I am using OC4J 10g (Application Server) and Oracle10g DB. OC4J is maintaining the connection pool(com.evermind.sql.DriverManagerDataSource). I get the connection from pool and call DB procedure, then close resultset, statement and connection. It closes the opened cursors against resultset. But left some implicit cursors opened and never closed so cursor count is going to increase.
If i dont use pool no cursor remained open and count is zero. It means the cursors of pooled connections are not closed.
    wait-timeout="60"
    min-connections="5"
    max-connections="100"

    Hi Justin,
Thnx for your reply and you're understanding is correct but the problem I face is when multiple concurrent users access the JSP page from which I'm actually calling the servlet to retrieve the image, the number of cursors being left open increases. As the load on the page increases (i.e. no of usesrs increase) oracle seems to have problems in garbage collecting the open cursors ... which eventually leads it to throw maximum cursors exceeded exceptions.
    Any suggestions ?

  • FF 8.0.1 forgets what tools bars were in what state when open after closing. It defaults to Menu bar off, bookmarks bar off, tabs on top...

Randomly FF 8.0.1 when you open it, forgets the last state it was in when you closed the program down. It seems to default to bookmarks toolbar off, menu bar off, and the Tabs on top is on when you start FF 8.0.1.... I have made no settings changes or altered any add on's to FF. Nothing happens to passwords or bookmarks just the bars in use...

  • FF works on startup but will not open after closing until I reboot.

Until today everything okay. This evening tried to re-open Firefox and it would not. Rebooted computer & Firefox opened OK but after I closed it an tried to reopen, it would not start. Now it appears that Firefox will only open on a fresh restart of my computer. Running W-7 64 bit.

Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause
Firefox issues. '''Disable All of them.'''
Start '''[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Firefox in Safe Mode]''' {web Link} by holding down the '''<Shift ''(Mac Options)'' >''' key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

  • Firefox wont open after closing

Use task Manger or something similar to find and kill the process ''firefox.exe'' , you should then be able to restart firefox without needing to restart the computer or to re-install firefox.
    * see [[firefox is already running but is not responding]]
You will need to sort out the reason behind the problem, try reading the above article it may help. Note always to exit firefox by using
