Itunes 10.5 beta - can't create playlists, drag n drop doesn't work

I used 10.5 beta and now I create a new playlist but can't drag and drop my files to it. Any ideas?

10.5 has not be released to the general public since it is a BETA, so this is not the place to ask for help with this. Since the BETA is available officially for registered developers only, as a registered developer you have direct access to the appropriate Apple personnel for this and access to the developer's discussions area.

Just to clarify, Photoshop CC has not been released yet. It will come out on June 17.
What you have now is Photoshop 13.x as per the subscription model (»Abo«) and it's called Photoshop CS6. When Photoshop 14.x is released on June 17, then it will be called "CC".
It's not clear—at least to me—which images, if any, you have selected in Bridge when you hit the »Speichern« (Save) button.
Remember that a Collection is nothing more than a saved search, i.e. a saved collection of selected search results (hits).
Could you elaborate on what it is you want to save as a collection?

HT2688 I cannot drag and drop songs into a newly created playlist. I have other playlists that I have created but drag and drop no longer works

Almost all of my songs have become located in a My Music folder within the general library of the harddrive of my laptop and are no longer in itunes. When I try to play a song I get the message - "The song could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to find it?"
This works but is impractical as it would take years import all of these songs back into itunes one at atime. How do I import all of the songs from the My Music library folder on my harddrive into itunes? Please help

Playlists are ones I have created, not smart Playlists
You can create either smart playlists (they are purple) or regular (blue) playlists.

Can't Create an Account because password doesn't work

Hello,
Pretty new to the forum. I have just opened an iChat account and I can't get it to work. I am able to create an account name and then I type in a password. Then the screen comes up and the computer asks me to type in my password....I do and then it says it doesn't recognize the password. I then look back at my file and the password in covered up with astericks (*), but the word length is different than what I typed. I have tried correcting the password numerous times and then repeatedly logging on and creating different accounts....but I haven't been able to log on yet. Please help me if you can. This is very frustrating.

HI Ben,
If you are creating a @mac account the password needs to be 16 characters or less to work with iChat.
This is because the AIM servers only allow this number of characters for their passwords and iChat uses the AIM servers for iChat.
The * that appear after you confirm the password show a default number of *s (12 I think) no matter how long or short your password is.

I can't get Mozilla Drag and Drop Uploader to work. Suggestions for troubleshooting?

I have a recurring need to post 100's of photos from "My Pictures" to a web site. I currently click on "Browse", up pops the photo file, and I then must manually select the proper photos and double click them to move them to the web site.
A colleague who has the same recurring need has told me to download Firefox as my browser, then download and install the "Drag and Drop Uploader". By doing this, I should be able to simply highlight the proper photos from 'My Pictures" and drag them to the correct box on the web site.
I have seen him do this on his computer, so I know it is possible. I'm guessing the problem I am having lies in having downloaded incompatible versions.

Can i create playlists for videos?

i tried creating playlists(same as how i did for music, right click, new playlist, drag and drop files inside) via itunes and putting videos into it(different drama serials etc for easier viewing)...but the video playlists did not show up in my touch...can anyone advise?

How to create a drag and drop video playlist Help please

I would like to learn how to create a drag and drop video playlist.
I think the most common example is youtube.
I already have partial of the work but I am stuck with my preliminary knowledge of Flash.
What I am saying is:
I have a *.fla project that have the galleries for video and pictures.
But this process is done from the back end.
I would like to make it more dynamic for the visitors.
For example:
1. Create a visitor video (pictures) playlist
2. Drag and drop into the playlist
3. To be able to create different playlists (Playlist 1, "My favorite playlist", "Watch later", etc)
If someone knows or want to guide me where or how to find this request, I'd appreciate it so much.
If the forum think that this need to be address to a expertise ($). I am also welling to hear that and where to go.
If someone is interesting in this project please send me a note to show the prelimary project.

Yeah that is the general idea but that is more of a "lift and drop", i want to add the same thing as when you:
Right click this window in the taskbar (assuming your using windows) when the window is not maximized and click "move" then it changes the cursor icon and allows u to move the window around and while you move it around it shows the window moving, not a click and release feature.
So i want that ability without having to click on the title bar, if you know what i mean.

Drag-and-drop no longer working in iTunes 7.7

Recently I've not been able to drag movies onto my iPod touch, neither from the Finder or from within iTunes. They'll drag into playlists, but the green Plus symbol disappears when I move it over my touch. The only way to get movies onto the touch is to 'sync' them, which is VERY inconvenient and tedious if you have lots of files. Is this a change in iTunes 7.7, and if so why??? If not, is there anything I can do to restore drag and drop?

Update on the problem.
The problem was that you cannot drag and drop when in Administrator mode. Indesign was crashing if I did not open in administrator mode. The reason why Indesign was crashing has something to do with licensing of the computer and software... This is a new computer and the c drive is a solid state chip. To conserve c drive space, we setup c:temp to be on a separate drive. That's why Indesign would not open normally. You must have your c:temp on your user account to be directed to c:temp.

I have selcted random but the slideshow always plays in order. I searched the scripts for any logi related to this and other properties set, but cannot find any refernce to any of these propoerties:

How can I make the slideshow start with a random image each time?

This is the very top of the documents view in the Pages app. If you don't see this, swipe down in this window to reveal the Date and Name tabs like you see here. If you tap on - Name - that arranges all of the documents in alphabetical order in this view and it also arranges documents in the respective folders alphabetically. If you tap on - Date - that will arrange all documents by the date that they were created or last edited. You want to make sure that you keep Name as the default at the top.
Trust me, this does work. If you name the chapters alphabetically .... Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, or if you simply name them A, B, C, D, etc. they will be arranged in that order using the Name button at the top, which uses alphabetical order to arrange the documents.

Creating a drag and drop converter?

Does anyone know if there is a simple way to create a drag and drop converter type application?
I have a small command line application that converts an input file to an output file. It can take a few extra options, but these aren't necessary. To make this functionality available to more people I would like to convert it into a simple "drag and drop" style applcation, which would call the binary.
Does anyone have any recommendations or pointers to a tutorial on doing something similar? I am a bit of a newbie in terms of Mac development and I am thinking this could be a practical way of getting me introduced?

You might take a look at Pashua - it is designed to tack a GUI onto things that don't have one. Otherwise, you are probably looking at something more serious, such as Xcode.
