ITunes 10.5 beta for windows not available
I have just registered as a developer. I cannot see iTunes 10.5 beta for windows in my list of available downloads. I only have "10.5 beta (Mac)"
I think you meant iCloud Beta , but the link isn't working for iTunes 10.5. Hopefully, they're fixing iTunes 10.5 for Windows, because it wasn't working. You may have come up with a new idea that Apple can exploit, though - iCould.

The Windows download link for iTunes 10.5 beta is not as you would expect listed next to the iTunes 10.5 beta download section it's it's on the iCloud beta for Developers download page. -
Airport software version 5 for Windows not available for download?
Hi, Apple.
You're kidding, right?
I can download the Airport 5 update for Windows, but that update won't run if AirPort 5 isn't already installed.
Where am I supposed to get it in the first place? My laptop is very tiny, it doesn't have a CD-ROM drive.
Don't bother replying to this.. By the time you read this message I will have already popped the CD in my Linux machine and copied the files over via SSH. Then I'll run the update.
In the future, please make things easier for me.
Furthermore, how about you update the Airport (N) itself so that it will add local machine's hostnames to the embedded DNS server? I mean, heck, you already have features that let me reserve IPs based on MAC address or DHCP client ID... Those machines in the least should be easy to resolve.

--Dave LoyallI suspect that Apple wants us to buy the Airport Extreme, or replace our Airport Expresses with Apple TVs. The AX is a wireless G/B product, and the new draft is N ... which is better for streaming larger media files.
Anyway, you can try this for a Windows system:
1. You will need a program called Less_MSIerables. Google it.
2. Download it to your desktop and unzip that file (it should end up in your unzipped file folder)
3. Now, download Airport Extreme software.
4. Run
5. A window will open that states "This Update requires AirPort Version 5.0 to be Installed".
Don't exit from this window.
6. <Vista> Instead, go Start ->start search and type in %temp%. Enter. <XP: use Run instead of Search and type in %temp%. Enter.>
7. You will see a file folder called something like IXP050.TMP (the number varies)
8. Open it.
9. You should be able to see a file called APsetup.msi.
10. Click your mouse on it, but don't open it.
11. At the top of the window you will see the address of this file. If not, click the yellow file folder in the address bar. Copy that address.
12. Next go to the folder in which you saved the unzipped version of Less_MSIerables
13. In a subfolder you will see a file called Lessmsi.
14. Right-click on this file

15. Go to properties.
16. Go to compatability.
17. Run in XP Mode
18. Apply
19. OK
20. Again right-click on icon.
21. Run as administrator.
<Vista and XP>
22. In the window that pops up, paste the address of Apsetup.msi
23. You will see a list of many files, but one of the first will be APUtil.exe.
24. Extract this file to a location that you can easily find.
25. A file folder will appear with a name like cab#APSetup.cab1
26. Open that file folder and you will see a file APUtil.exe
27. Click on that file, and the admin utility will open. You should be able to find your airport device.
I suggest that you move this file to your desktop for easy access.
If you are doing this for an Apple computer, there are posts on how to do it; and I think it is a good deal simpler to do.

Archive Download for 1.4.2_24 for Windows not available
Hi,
we have a legacy system which is currently using version 1.4.2_19 which our customers now want installed on a Windows 7 machine.
It looks like Windows 7 compatibility was introduced in version 1.4.2_24, so I have looked on the archive downloads page for this version, but it looks like it is only available for solaris.
Is there anywhere I can get this download for windows? We need it for both 32 bit and 64 bit machines.

Java Commapi for Windows NOT available anymore
The new version of the java communications API (3.0 Update 1) only has Linux and Solaris versions available for download. The old version 2.0 had a windows version with the all important win32comm.dll.
Where is the Windows download for this?? It was there a few months ago. Now gone. No other downloads available. No where on Sun site to get previous version.

JES 2005 Q4 for windows not available to download
Hi,
i'm trying to get the new release of JES, the 2005 Q4.
For Solaris and Linux it shows to me link, but not for the Windows.
I've seen the docs, the Release Notes and everything telling me that the version exists, but not the link. It shows me the link for Q1.
How can i get the Q4? Applying patchs?

LorenzoWell, if you're on a Mac, that's pretty much a hopeless cause. Quicktime only allows afew legacy formats (make sure to enable the "Allow Legacy CoDecs" option in the global QT prefs), but it will not be particualarly useful. I strongly recomemnd you render to QT (Aniamtion or PNG) and find someone who can convert the fiel to an AVI on a native Windows system.

Error 1004, 1013, 1638, 3014, 3194: These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
The "device may need service" means a hardware problem. In that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

iTunes 11.2.2 for Windows x64 will not successfully install. Removed prior iTunes, and still will not install. 10.7 installs just fine, but constantly asks to upgrade to 11.2.2. Any Thoughts?

I tried to install iTunes 10.6.1 for Windows (64 bit) and it says "A required iTunes component is not installed. Please repair or reinstall iTunes. (-42404). I have tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling and it still does not work. I then restored my computer to a week ago and tried to download and install the update and this came up again.

I am having trouble installed latest iTunes 10.5.2 for Windows XP. When I start install the exe file, I got an error message:

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time? -

every time i try to install itunes on my laptop for windows i get the message''key not valid for use in specified state'' any clue?
For "Key not valid for use in specified state" errors try moving the folder RSA from C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA to say C:\<User>\RSA (just in case there should be a need to restore it) then try installing again. This folder appears to act as a cache and should be rebuilt automatically as required.
