ITunes 10.5 & iOS 5 download problems

I have not been successful in downloading either of the software updates. My mac searches for updates and then returns with a message stating all software is up-to-date. I've been trying since yesterday afternoon and all thru the night. I've even restored my iPhone. What can I do to get these updates?

yes you can just go into settings and turn off everything in iCloud

"Eingabe der Seriennummer zusätzlich eine "alte Seriennummer"" hört sich nach einer Updateversion. Falls keine Vorversion vorhanden ist, ist diese leider "Wertlos". Also nochmal genau auf die Box oder den Bestellvorgang schauen.
"Es kommt die Meldung: "Beim Extrahieren einiger Dateien ist ein Problem aufgetreten". Passiert manchmal beim Auspacken der Installationsdateien. Einfach mal 7-zip installieren und das Installationsprogramm auspacken. Da drinn gibt es einen 32bit und 64bit Ordner mit den eigendlichen Setups. Das korrekte Setup starten.
Die aktuell LR Version kann hier Adobe - Lightroom : For Windows : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1 heruntergeladen werden. Eine älteren LR5 Version muss vorher nicht installiert werden. Allerdings löst auch das nicht das Problem mit der "Update"-Lizenennummer.

IOS 6 download problem

I have been trying to download and install IOS 6 on iPhone 4s, ipad2, itouch and it will not download. I have even tried going through iTunes. Help please. I get about 30 minutes into the download on all my devices (no I am not doing them at the same time). I am connected to wifi. I do have them plugged in. I don't know what is happening.

ITunes to iPod (5th Gen) download problems

Problem encoutered: "Attempting to copy disk to iPod failed.The disk could not be read from or written to."
This is the messaged I've received in trying to download my current iTunes library to my new 5th Gen iPod.
I have found it I remove the last song that iTunes attempted to download to the iPod; the the downloading continues. BUT, it occured again with another totally different song.
What is going on here? Has this occured with any one else?
Lastly, I did call Apple. We did a restore and downloaded the lastest iPod software.

"ALL RIGHT EVERYONE! Anyone who has problems with their iPod freezing while syncing Listen Up.
I have successfully figured out what needs to be done in order to get your iPod syncing properly.
What you will need for this it another hard drive or computer (running OS X)
You can either set a hard drive (like one of the previous iPods with OS X installed on it) as the startup disk in System Preferences.
OR
There's another option for you if you have another Mac..
What you'll need to do is start the one you need to repair (that you sync your Pod from) in "target disk mode" which is done by restarting the computer and holding the "T" button.
This puts your computer into Firewire mode, and makes your computer an external hard drive for another computer to view.
You will also need a 6pin-6pin Firewire cord - to connect the 2 computers.
Once you have the main computer up as a disk image on your other desktop, open disk utility and click the Repair disk option.
I did this and it said the drive could not be repaired, and I ran it again and it fixed it the second time, so that might happen to you too.
I know this seems like a lot to do to get your computer working with your iPod, but it definitely works.
If you don't have another computer, and (as most of you seem to) have a portable like a powerbook or an ibook, just bring it to an apple store and I'm sure they'll gladly help."

Downloaded the new IOS 7 and after it was done on my Iphone 4, it just brings up the words "ITunes" and shows a plug in...when I plug it into the computer, it doesn't do anything. Please help

IOS 6 Downloading problem

I have been trying to download iOS 6 to my iPhone 4S but it takes way too long to download. A few minutes after I start the download it shows a message saying: Software Update Failed An error occurred downloading iOS 6. What can I do?

go to settings general > time and date , go a year in the future, try it again, if it works you can turn automatic time back on

HT4623 IOS 7 download problem

I downloaded the update to my iPad. It downloaded successfully, I got to the "Hello" page, touched continue and all I got was the Apple logo. I can not power off and I am frozen. Any suggestions?

I would first try a reset of the device. To reset a device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. You may need to attempt this multiple times.

HT4235 ios 6 download problem

I began to download the updated ios 6 today. I did not realize how long it was going to take, so I decided to turn off my phone to cancel the download. Now my phone is not turning on. The apple logo keeps on appearing repeatedly.

Sup720 IOS Upload/Download problem

I'm using Cat6509 with "s72033-psv-mz.122-18.SXD3.bin"
I tried to upload new IOS from my PC to Catalyst and download that IOS from Catalyst to my PC.
In both cases, during the process, it stops with displaying "timed out" message.
When it stops,in upload, the size of the incomplete IOS is 33.5MB
Do you know why this happens?

Another option that is POSSIBLE (but I'm not sure it is recommended) with the newer memory modules (CF) and Sup720 in native mode would be to use a USB flash memory drive to read and write the files to CF. Obviously you'd want to verify this in a non-production switch to make sure the formatting is compatible and the file is readable, but I have been able, on my 6513 with Sup720-3BXL and my USB 7-in-1 drive to read/write the CF after formatting it on the Cisco first and copy new code version to the CF card then insert & verify the bin file.
Please also note the SXD3 is deferred and is not recommended for deployment last I knew and can have a bad bug if you accidentally create a subdirectory on the CF card (while using the above method) where the whole switch will reboot and continue to reboot - SXD4 or SXD5 if it exists is the current recommended in that release train for SXD I think..
It's a documented bug in the bug tool, but doesn't SPECIFICALLY state that a subdirectory will trigger it, only "corrupted flash", which is what the IOS in that version thinks the directory existing really is... SXD4 fixes that bug. OR, even easier, don't create subdirectories on it if you are using a PC to transfer images to the CF! :-)
Either using FTP or a different TFTP server, as Amit and the other poster mentioned, will also work.

In iphone 5 - synced to itunes - BOTH showing they have current software - iOS 7 is not showing up.
Both say UP TO DATE.

The weather is currently gorgeous in at least some parts of Pennsylvania. Go take a walk and enjoy it. Such weather will be gone soon enough. iOS 7 will be around for a while. Not to mention, trying to update the moment it's released is even more frustrating than waiting 12-24 hours.

If you are getting a network timeout error then try temporarily turning off your firewall and antivirus software until the download has completed. If that doesn't work then you could try downloading the update via a browser : https://discussions.apple.com/message/16436025#16436025

IOS 5 download problems

I have been trying to download iOS 5 to my 1st generation iPad and iPhone 4 since the day Apple released iOS 5. It continually fails. Sometimes about 10 Mb will download and then fail. The farthest it has gone is about 450 Mb before it failed. I turned off my Anti-Virus software (Vipre) and I turned off Spybot. It still fails. I do not know what else to do. I am looking for suggestions and resolutions please! Thank you!

If you update using iTunes, the full iOS is downloaded. If you update directly on your phone, this is called a "Delta" update, & only the changes to the iOS are downloaded. That's why you see the difference you see.
