ITunes (10.5) Keeps Popping Up, Help

This is extremely annoying. Ever since I enabled wifi sync on my iphone 4 and ipad 2 itunes keeps randomly popping up out of nowhere. It always shows just my iphone device (not my ipad) on it and it's not even syncing. I even did a wireless sync to see if it will stop and itunes still keeps popping up for no reason. I am running Win7. Any ideas? Is this happening to anyone else?
Thanks
Jay

Same here, same circumstances.  Occurring since Wi-Fi sync was enabled on an iPhone and iPad, won't stop despite Wi-Fi being disabled for both now.

Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:

  • Itunes login window keeps popping up for no apparent reason

For about 2 weeks now the itunes login window asking for my itunes password keeps popping up for no apparent reason at annoyingly frequent intervals on my touch 3.1.2. This seems to occur regardless of what i am doing on the ipod or which app I am using at the time. If i enter my password and press ok the message still pops up again later. Anybody have a solution?

    Hi,
Please go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features to repair the Installation of Office, check if the issue persists.
If the issue still exists, I suggest you perform a clean boot to determine whether background programs are interfering with Communicator:

  • My flash player keeps popping up-help

my flash player keeps popping up - how can I stop this?

What do you mean by "popping up"?
    Is it an update notification?
Is it an Internet Explorer notification (This site wants to load content using Flash Player)?
    We need to know.
    What browser?
    What OS?

  • Itunes web page keeps popping up without being commanded.

I have a window 7 pc and just downloaded 10.5 ITunes.  Now the itunes web page automatically pops up uncommanded.  I close it and come back to my computer at a later time and the itunes page is back up again.  I also use firefox.

Whenever you get a message / popup that software / files need to be updated,<br><br>
<u>'''''DO NOT USE ANY OF THE PROVIDED LINKS'''''</u>.<br><br>
While this may be a legitimate message, it could also be <u>'''''Malware or a Virus'''''</u>.
Any time you want or need to check for upgrades,
go to the web site of the <u>'''''True Owner'''''</u> of the program in question.
For example, to check out Firefox, go to '''''[https://www.mozilla.org Mozilla.org]'''''.<BR><BR><BR>
It’s very sad, but many of the software down-loaders /
installers will trick you into installing not only their program,
    '''''but other programs as well'''''.
You have heard of the '''''fine print in shady contracts''''', right?
Well, some installers you need to look at the '''''itsy bitsy teeny weeny fine print'''''.
You are thinking you are giving the installer permission to install the program you want by using
the '''''recommended''''' option. But if you use the '''''Manual Option Instead''''',
you discover all kinds of stuff that '''''you do not even know what it is or what it does'''''.
From now on, everyone needs to '''''Use The Manual Option''''' to put a stop to this.

  • Trust this Computer - iPad/iMac Message Keeps Popping Up - HELP???

I see plenty of reported issueson this subject, but none that fix my problem.
iMac has latest OSX and iTunes versions, iPad is updated to iOS 7.1.  I even tried reinsatalling OSX (thought I'd got away from reinstalls when I dropped Windows!!!).
But I still get bing, bing, bing, bing, bing ... and the "Trust this Computer" pop-up every second until I unplug the (original Apple) USB cord
Any suggestions how to get around this annoying problem - which may have started after iOS 7.1 upgrade.
    Thanks!

    Hello there TedJ,
It sounds like your phone keeps connecting and disconnecting over and over until you unplug your iPhone from the computer. I recommend the troubleshooting in the following article named:
iOS: Troubleshooting USB-related alerts when syncing
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5254?viewlocale=en_US
Try the following steps to check the connection between your device or computer. You might need to do only one of these steps to resolve the issue, so test your connection after each step.
See if the cable connection at the device or computer has come loose or unplugged.
Unplug the cable you're using to connect your iOS device from the USB port on your computer, and then reconnect it. Then unplug it from your iOS device, and reconnect it.
Remove any third-party battery packs or cases from the device and ensure that the USB cable is connected directly to the port on the device.
If your Lightning or 30-pin cable is connected to a keyboard, display or USB hub, try plugging it directly into a USB port on the computer instead.
Close any virtualization apps (such as Parallels or VMWare).
These apps may interfere with your computer's ability to communicate over USB if they aren't properly configured, or up to date. If this resolves the issue, contact the developer of the app to see if an update is available.
    Restart your computer.
Restart your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch.
If you're using an accessory or third-party cable to connect your device, try using an Apple cable with the device instead.
Update to the latest version of iTunes if you have not already.
Disconnect other USB devices from your computer, except for your keyboard and mouse. Then, reconnect your iOS device. If the issue is resolved, reconnect the other USB devices one at a time. Make sure your iOS device is still recognized by the computer after adding back each device.
If one of these steps resolves the issue, but it comes back later, make sure you haven't changed how the device is connected. For example, check to see if you plugged the device into a specific accessory, or used a specific cable that reintroduced the issue.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

    Sterling

  • ITunes Password Input keeps popping up

I keep seeing a pop-up asking me for my iTunes password.
Anybody else have this problem or know why this would happen?

Thanks @Phillpkd for your post, but this is not the fix for everyone.
When I first got my iPad I never had this problem, until I contacted Apple support about my iTunes account. I told Apple that my iTunes on my new system did not down load all my purchased music from the iTunes store. Apples reply was that I needed to backup my file from my old system and import it to the new system.
I told them that could not be done the old system is no longer around. Besides I thought that all my purchased music would download to the new system once I authorized it. Apple saide "No, it will not" what Apple did was they reset my downloads so that they would download again. However they did tell me that I may not get all my downloads "purchased" music, anything they no longer carie that I purchased will not download.
So Apple reset my account and everything downloade. After the reset is when the problem started. I know that not everyone has had iTunes reset like I did. I think it is a problem with the iTunes verification and authorization for the iPad.
The iPad is performing random checks on the iTunes store for updates to apps and it is being challenged every time. This is my theory for all of us that are not seeing the same thing that Phillpkd is.

  • Cant download itunes error 126 keeps popping up ,saying avfoundation cant be found

cant download itunes says it cant find avfoundation.error 126

This post (credit: user Gungho) explains that:
there are three things associated with this kind of error is a permissions issue, illegal characters, or a non-existent share point. To address the first possibility Get Info about the alias and check the permissions. You should have read and write access. For the 2nd remove any illegal characters in the name such as characters;: ", | * [] / \ = + <>. The . can only be used to separate the file name from the file type.
Could any of those things be happening? This link also has some good suggestions.
Here are some other things to try:
    Try to restart
    Perform a file system check
While starting, hold "Command + S"; once there type "fsck -fy"; once complete type "sudo shutdown -h now"

  • When my husband and I first bought our iPhones, I was the only one with an Apple ID (since he never used iTunes). He used my apple id to get apps. Now he has his own ID, but my account keeps popping up on his phone. How can we change the ID on his phone?

When my husband and I first bought our iPhones, I was the only one with an Apple ID (since he never used iTunes). He used my apple id to get apps. Now he has his own ID, but my apple ID email address keeps popping up on his phone when he tries to download an app. We do not want to have all of the same apps on our phones. How can we change the ID on his phone? I already tried going to Settings>iTunes &App Store> and changing the Apple ID to his account email and that did not solve the problem. To make things worse, I recently changed my Apple ID email address (without getting a new ID) and I do not remember my old password (and this is the address that is popping up on his phone). He does not have any music on his phone and all of the Apps that he has are free.  Any help you could offer would be great (-:

All apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that bought them. To stop your id from popping up, you need to delete the apps on his phone, and then repurchase them under his account.
