AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working - Vista with itunes 7.7.0.43
All..
I have just installed itunes 7.7.0.43 (downloaded from apple.com not via itunes update)on my Vista machine (SP1). When I now launch itunes I get a barrage of windows reporting that "AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working" a new box opens every 10 secs or so.
This as you can guess cannot be right..
Anyone else get this and I guess do we have to wait for a fix..?I'm having this problem too.
I'm new to Vista, couldn't find a way to copy the text of the error window itself, but here is a copy of information from the area you mentioned (some of the information is different in every error event):

AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working
When I attempt syncing iPhone 3GS with laptop, am constantly getting "AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working" message, and iTunes hangs. My new laptop is a Dell Studio 1555, Windows 7 64-bit. The phone was syncing contacts and everything ok with my former Dell Inspiron 9400 laptop, as well as my Dell PC at work (both running Windows XP Pro). Since purchasing the new laptop, I have had difficulty syncing my contacts to the phone. At first when i plugged in iPhone to sync, system would start syncing; it may have even worked ok the first time. But after that, every time I try to sync, iTunes hangs. When it hangs I use Task Manager to exit the program; most often now, i get the error message "AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working". Of course I have lost all of my contacts and ringtones on the phone, and am unable to re-sync to get contacts back on my phone. Here is latest crash message from today:

I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes,as I had seen recommended somewhere in Apple Support, but it did not work. As soon as I plugged in phone to sync, the message came back. By the way I am set up to manually manage music, etc. on the iPhone sync.
I have seen this issue but I don't remember didn't seeing any with my particular configuration. Is there anyone out there who has been able to fix this problem on their system? Help?!Same Laptop, Same problem.

HELP!! AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working
HELP!
Whenever I open iTunes Windows displays a message that says, "AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working. A problem has caused the program to stop working. Windows will notify you when a solution is available." Also when I plug my ipod into my computer iTunes doesn't recognize that it is plugged in.For this one on Vista machines, the following announcement has some troubleshooting tips:

AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working - Windows Vista Home Premium 64
I have iTunes 9.0.1 on my Acer AX1700-U3700A running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit version. In case it matters I am using McAfee.
I can connect my iPhone 3G to my computer and iTunes finds it. But whenever I "right click" on the iPhone icon I get the dreaded "AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working". I've followed Apple's uninstall and reinstall instructions twice to no avail. When I try "repairing" AppleMobileDeviceHelper I am told that I don't have the .msi file to repair it from.
I've tried the "Run iTunes as an Administrator" option but I get the same result.
I see some people recommend deleting the AppleMobileDeviceHelper binary altogether but want to make sure I'll be able to still sync my and my wife's iPhones and iPods.
Does Apple had a fix for this?
Is there some settings I need to change in McAfee? I've confirmed that iTunes has "Full Access" through McAfee (I'm only including this as in some other threads some pointed toward their anti-virus applications as part of the trouble.)

ITunes 7.7 - Error Message: AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working
Can anyone help with the above problem. I installed 7.7 two days ago and now cannot stop these error messages from popping up.
I can play iTunes, but the whole time it is running this message pops up repeatedly. So far I have let it get to about nine messages and then I have closed it down.
I have tried reinstalling, repairing and removing iTunes, but when I reinstalled, the problem came back.
I'd be very grateful for any help with this.
Many thanks. With that one, see the following announcement:

"AppleMobileDeviceHelper Has Stopped Working" -- how to fix??
The "AppleMobileDeviceHelper" every 60 seconds or so triggers the above Windows error message. In additon, when I connect my iPhone 3GS, I get various messages -- iTunes Sync Services problem, iPhone not recognized, etc. In the time it's taken to write this mesasge, I've had a 1/2 dozen AppleMobileDeviceHelper error messages.
I've repaired, removed & reinstalled iTunes several times, to no avail. I had no problems with using iTunes and syncing my iPhone under Win 7 for nearly two months, then a couple of weeks ago these problems started arising. I can't correlate any software install at that time, so I'm stumped.
Suggestions?Another datapoint -- video and audio play suffers from major stalls -- interruptions lasting upwards of 20-30 seconds, play for a few seconds, interruption, etc. Yet Window's Task Manager shows no other significant process use of CPU resources.

"AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working" message keeps popping up..
right after i finished downloading itunes 7.7.043 today, i opened up itunes and the same error message kept popping up continuously even after i closed them. how can i disable it?
i took a screen shot of the message:
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v640/bluewasabii/?action=view¤t=ituneser ror.jpgIf you're not using an iTouch or iPhone, just get rid of that AppleMobileDevice.exe program from your PC.
Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
I got rid of it and I can still sync my older iPods, no problem. Also, itunes doesn't hang when I try to shut it down.

Error: "AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working"
I repeatedly get this error anytime I leave iTunes opened for more than 30 seconds (if that) and it will not quit, I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, as well as trying the repair function... I've tried the uninstall and reinstall from both the disk and the download from the site, neither have been successful. Any ideas on how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated! Also if it matters I have an iTouch.
Thanks,

I cannot get my new Windows 8 computer to connect to Itunes store! It shuts off Itunes every time, just saying the program has stopped working
Any suggestions?I had this exact same problem. I found this fix and it worked for me.
Step 1:
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support and copy the filen named QTMovieWin.dll.
Step 2:
Browse and past that file into C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Hope this helps you. I wish I could remember where I saw this originally so I could thank them.
Good Luck.

Apple Mobile Device Helper has stopped working - stuck in loop
I keep getting a message/check box (AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working)whenever I load iTunes under Vista. If I don't click and respond, my task bar gets cluttered up with these messages - I don't know what to do short of uninstalling everything.
Any ideas of what else I can do to stop this box from coming up, so that I can use iTunes normally?
ThanksYou could try uninstalling Apple Mobile Device support using add/remove programs. I tunes doesn't require it and will work without it. However if you need it, try doing a repair install of iTunes which will reinstall Apple Mobile Deviced support.

If you really want help, stop messing with the fonts and post so that others can read and offer suggestions.
Or better yet... try a search, I'm certain you'll find a solution to whatever issue you're experiencing.

YSLoader.exe has stopped working
I just reinstalled iTunes for Windows Vista after the MSVCR80.dll was not found. After reinstalling iTunes, the first time I tried to sync my iPhone 4 using iTunes, I got this message:

All this started when I updated iTunes to the latest version. Seems to me Apple should take responsibility for causing this and be aggressive in fixing it!
Please tell me how to fix this!
Thank you.I appreciate your help. I went to the link you supplied. In the first 2 steps the article says to:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
I found a lot of .dll files.
I found 9 .dll files in c:\program files(x86)\iTunes.
I found 2 .dll files in c:\program files(x86)\iTunes\iTunes.Resources:
iTunes.Registry.dll
iTunes.dll
I found this one in iTunes.Helper: c:\program files(x86)\iTunes\iTunesHelper.Resources\iTunesHelper.dll
In c:\program files(x86)\iTunes\Mozilla plugins\npitunes.dll
and
in C:\Program Files\iTunes
iTunesOutlookAddIn.dll
I did not find QTmovie.dll
Should I move ALL of the .dll files to my desktop? I'm afraid to do that.
I am able to open iTunes and sync with my iPhone successfully, as far as I can tell, despite getting the 'YSLoader.exe is not working' message. So I am hesitant to follow these steps.
I welcome your help and advice.
Thank you so much! -
SyncServer has stopped working
hi, when i connect my iphone to to itunes it tells me that the "SyncServer has stopped working". then it says "itunes was unable to load provider data from sync services". i can still put songs on my iphone but when i want to delete them i cant? please help its driving me crazy! =(
yh the same thing happenend to me, i called them up and u have to do this:
go to my computer
click on the (C:) drive
there should be a folder called "users", click on it
then click on whatever user you are
then there should be a folder sayin music, double click
click on itunes
now there are too things u can possibly do, read carefully:
it should have folders saying itunes library, itunes genius etc
IF after the folder saying Itune Library there isnt anythin after it, click on:
organise (top left of screen)
folder and search options
click on the view tab
then in the list there should be "DO NOT SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS"
tick that box and click "ok"
now it should say somethin like "Itunes Library.itdb" (or somethin similar)
RIGHT click and click rename, then rename it "Itunes Library.old"
if this has been done correctly you should be able to open up a previous version of itunes =)
