ITunes 10.5 won't upload on my Windows 7 computer

I download the update click on the agreement and then it starts to upload but a few seconds later it says that it can't continue and then unpacks itself. Is anyone else having this problem?

ok, not sure if this will help your issue exactly but it might so i am posting it here. i had a similar issue, where iTunes would actually install but then crash on startupy. I thought it might be a file that was corrupting the process because there was no eorro log or information from Apple. (NOTE: I also tried to install a previous version of iTunes but that h did not work because the library (.itl) was related to the more recent version so that did not fix the issue for me and that might actually work for you since you can't even install the latest version.)
I went to my start menu and looked for any all podcasts, thinking that delieing all my podcasts would be the easiest thing to do becuase they can be so easily recovered. This actually fixed the problem. I think i had a podcast that was corrupted and crashing my iTunes on startup.
go to
--start menu> search> type in ".mp3"
--when all your .mp3 fils come up in a file window there will be a search box in the upper right hand corner.
--type in "podcast"
--start deleting!

I updated iTunes from the update message and now my Windows computer (at work- I use Mac at home) keeps sending me error messages about MobileMe and iTunes. It indicates a .dll error but I can't find any such file. I tried removing the entire ITunes app.

I downloaded an update to my iTunes app on my work Windows computer and now I am constantly getting error messages about MobileMe, when I download a webpage and marked slowness of my Outlook application. I tried removing iTunes and reloading directly from the Apple site, but no change. One of my peers is having the same issue and messages.
Any suggestions?

I have two computers connected to my iTunes. but it won't sync. My new computer won't take the songs already on my iPod or give me the new songs on the computer. What do I do?

I tried figuring out the icloud thing but all my settings are set to "on" so it should sync but it isn't... and plugging my ipod into my new computer doesn't change anything. The computer won't pick up the songs on the ipod and the ipod won't pick up the new songs on the new computer.

What do you mean by "won't pick up the songs"?
You can only sync with one iTunes library. However, you can manage mauic and videos among different computer by:
Using iPhone, iPad, or iPod with multiple computers
You can transfer iTunes purchases to a computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer

At least acknowledge that the issue lies with Microsoft and an error in upgrading/installing the Visual C++ 2005/2008/200x Service Pack.

One library won't upload to my new computer

My home iMac computer has around 120 gb's of music and i just purchased a new 13" macbook pro today. Home sharing is on for both computers and when i use my macbook pro to get my home library from the iMac it loads for a few minutes but nothing happens, is it because my itunes library is too large or is there something i can do to fix this occurrence?

You can only sync to one computer/iTunes library. To switch syncing computers:

Why does Itunes not recognize my iphone 3GS on any windows computer?

I have had my Iphone for a little while now and itunes on my computer was working and the phone was doing fine except that the usb wall charger would not charge my phone in less i plugged the phone in first, turned it off, then turned it back on and then the wall charger would work correctly. This was more irritating then anything and I had read on the internet that updateing to 4.3.1 would fix the issue. So I was using iOS 4.2.1 on my iphone 3GS and decided to go ahead and update to 4.3.1, after doing so itunes (newest version) will not recognize my Iphone no matter which computer I plug it into (I have tried 3 other computers, 2 of which run Windows 7 64 bit and the other running Windows XP 32 bit). I have tried reinstalling the newest version of itunes on 2 different computers which included deleteing ALL folders and/or files related to apple, itunes, quicktime, or any other program that i may of had on that computer. I also uinstalled the apple mobile device driver in Device Manager to try to see if that would fix the issue at the same time. None of that worked on either PC. I then tried connecting my Iphone to a computer I had never had it on period. This computer also never had itunes or quicktime on it so i figured this would be a fresh start. I again installed the newest version of itunes and then connected my Iphone to that computer for the first time, which again resulted in not working. My last try was connecting my Iphone into my brothers computer that already had itunes on it, and he has a ipod in which he has used on that computer many times, his ipod still connects and itunes recognize's it just fine, however again itunes would not recognize my iphone. Next I thought maybe if I put my iphone into recovery mode and then connect it to my computer itunes would find it, which would correct the problem after I exited recovery mode. Yet again to no avail, and i tried this on all 4 computers as well... Lastly I tried to just reset my iphone and let it come up while connected to the computer, but sadly, to no avail.
So obviously my conclusion is what ever is causing this problem is most likely located directly on the iphone itself, seeing as I have tried it on multiple computers one of which itunes and the phone had never been on, 2 of which I have previously used for my iphone on iOS 4.2.1 and another of which was my brothers which he had used for his ipod. However I do not know how to fix (if I even can) this issue so that I can once again use itunes with my iphone.
Oh, and lastly... updateing from 4.2.1 to 4.3.1 did not fix the usb wall charger issue... After all of the above all I achieved was to add another problem to the table of which previously consisted of a problem that was simply irritating and annoying.
Thanks in advance for any advice and/or solutions that may lead me to resolving this issue.

my old laptop did not have the new Windows 8 features and it read my ipod touch fine. now i bought a new laptop with the Windows 8. i downloaded itunes, put my music on there, and plugged my ipod to the new laptop and it worked fine for a while. Now it no longer reads my ipod. Someone please help!!

i updated my i tunes to version 10 yesterday and today it asked me to update my ipod software(32gig ipod touch 3rd generation) so I said yes, it downloaded everything and when it synced up it said it could not complete download error -9. I tried to different cords and usb ports got the same response then it locked my ipod and said i had to restore and update and it would not restore either I took to best buy where i purchased they got it to restore. Brought it home and will not sync and restore with my purchases locks up and just sits there saying it is copying a song but does not do anything. Also I have my desktop and laptop listed for home sharing but on my side bar i do not have shared or sharing listed so i can copy songs from one computer to the other.
please help dont know if it is computer or ipod needs replaced

What is wrong with itunes and connecting their mobile devices to a windows computer

I have an apple iPhone and two other apple devices None of which can connect and be recognized on my Alienware computer with with windows 7. The problem is never quiet the same, some times it isn't recognized and doesn't show up on itunes at all and other times i connects and disconnects rapidly. Only rarely does it sync and stay connected long enough to download a few songs, other than that its a pure hassle to deal with and is starting to become highly annoying and makes me wonder if the phone would be more useful being hit with a golf club. open to any solutions

In addition to my previous message i have discovered some new information about the problem. the mobile device driver that is installed with itunes is currupt and personal trouble shooting along with auto trouble shooting can find a solution to this problem. might possibly been an imcomplete download offered by itunes. WAY TO GO

Mobile Device support won't uninstall on my windows computer

In trying to elimiinate an APSDaemon error on my windows 7 machine, I'm trying to uninstall Apple software to then reinstall. However, when I try to uninstall my Apple Mobile Device support, it nearly finishes and then goes "backwards" an undoes the uninstall. What's up with that?

First try a repair install of Apple Mobile Device Support. If that goes through successfully, see if you can now uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support.
If the Repair install doesn't help, try using the fixit from the following Microsoft document to remove Apple Mobile Device Support:

Hello all!
here's the problem:
I have made a link to an xml file that won't upload to iTunesU through the public site manager, and won't be validated on FeedValidator.org.
Feedvalidator gives the message: server returned timed out
iTunesU Public Site Manager returns the message that it can't download the feed from the url.
HOWEVER,
- the url to the xml file works perfectly in all web browsers - it is recognized as a feed and a working link to the video comes up right away.
- I uploaded the xml and video file to a different website(not on the University's server) and iTunesU and feedvalidator recognize it as valid, and the content appeared on our iTunesU page straight away.
- I was able to successfully subscribe to the feed (on the University's server) and download the video file using iTunes on my computer.
I am thinking it has something to do with the permissions on our University's server, but the system admin and I have reached a dead end as far as solutions
I'm getting pretty frustrated figuring this out, can anybody help?!??!

Your feed definitely validates, I’ve entered it by direct input on the w3cfeed validator and it’s fine - http://validator.w3.org/feed/#validate_by_input. That suggests it’s definitely a server configuration issue. Could the server be blocking ports required by the validator or iTunes? I presume the validator and iTunes both use http port 80, in which case, as the feed renders in a browser there shouldn't be a problem. Is the server definately available to external users/applications ie off campus?
Could it be a character encoding issue? I have downloaded your feed and opened it in notepad++ and it tells me the character encoding is 'UTF8 without BOM'. Not sure if it makes any difference but I use 'UFT8' for our feeds. I think servers can change character encoding depending on how they're set up which might account for the discrepancy.
This is not connected to your original question but you're not using the itunesu name space in the rss element at the top of your feed. As you're not using any itunesu specific elements in your feed I'm not sure if it's needed but just thought I'd mention it.

Is there way to sync mp3 files that won't upload to iTunes Match?

Let me briefly explain. I subscribe to iTunes Match. This works great except that there are a few large mp3 files (i.e., lectures) that won't upload to iTunes Match. I need to get those files on my iPhone or iPad. With iTunes Match on, all the uploaded music is synced but not those files. With iTunes Match off, I can easily add those files. How can I get these files to sync to the device and still use iTunes Match for all the rest of my music?

You can only remove them in iTunes on the computer.
