ITunes 10.6.1.7 doesn't work

I upgraded to 10.6.1.7 and now iTunes doesn't work. I also tried to install the iCloud but I can't find that either. Should I remove the iCloud application?

Let me provide some further details then. When I try and run iTunes, there are instances when the application won't open, it just spins like it's searching for my network drive, which is where all of my music is based. Now, when the application does open, after I have made several attempts, my entire library doesn't show in My Library. However, because my network drive is shared, all of the music that is housed on the drive shows up in the Shared Drive. But I can't use the files on the Shared Drive to burn CD's or move music to my iPod or iPad.
What I would like to be able to do is to add all of the music on my shared drive into My Library. I have pointed iTunes to the folder and added the folder repeatedly and still cannot get the music to load into the library. I've tried adding individual folders that I know are missing or the the top folder in the tree and to no avail.
I have also noticed that iTunes will freeze up when downloading podcasts and sometimes the podcasts it downloads are inoperable.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you updated your Apple Id and password but now you are being prompted for the old information in iCloud. You are on the right track by changing the Apple ID back to the previous email address temporarily so that you can sign out. You should not need to verify the email address. After you edit the Apple ID back to the old email address and then sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, edit the Apple ID back to the address you would currently like to use. There is no need to change the password again, only the email address, unless you prefer to update the password again.

Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

I click on the "DOWNLOAD" Button to download the newest iTunes version, but the download doesn't work.

When I pluged in my iPad, I was told to download the newest version of iTunes. But the download doesn't work. There is no message about this, except "Thank you for downloading iTunes".
What can I do?

No. That's not what I said. You can get an out of warranty replacement, which will be exactly the same model, color, and will be locked in exactly the same way the original is. If you want an iPhone 5, get the 4S replaced, sell it, and use the money to put toward a new phone.

While installing an update for my IPod touch 4g ( that I`ve had for around over a year )
and turned it off while it was " updating " . I turned it on a while after ,
and it was on the apple symbol and then suddenly went to the white screen with the green ,
white and yellow lines from top to bottom . I`ve waited around 2 and a half hours for it to go back .
I`ve tried to connect it to itunes , but won`t connect nor effect the ipod screen .

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

"show itunes in the cloud purchases" doesn't work any more. I changed my apple id recently. I deauthorized and authorized my computer, loggin out and in. Can't see anything not on my hard disk, as previously. I restored my system, but the cloud purchases came back ok previously. The HD episodes are not on C: - they are all there. I reimported the folder.

I think I restored a very old system and must install a newer itunes. Not sure how to erase this.

Press and hold power button for up to 30 seconds. Remove battery and reinsert then repeat.

Am I the only one whose iTunes doesn't work properly in Win 7? I open iTunes and few seconds later it closes itself because Windows finds some problems. I've already reinstalled the whole program but this problem still stands.

ITunes forcing iPod restore that doesn't work...

Ever since I upgraded to the new iTunes, when I plug in my iPod nano, iTunes give a message that "iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes". So I restore it, and it restarts and the whole thing starts again! With the exact message and the exact same process.
I've tried Apple's 5-step process, but that doesn't work, so now I'm stuck with an empty iPod that doesn't load.
Any ideas???

IT's the new version of I tunes. Theres something screwy with 7.6 I got the new 80 gig Ipod classic with video. I updated I tunes, and then uploaded my music. Everything was fine until i updated my ipod with more music that i had. A few hours later I was listening to music when all of a sudden it stopped playing. I looked and My I pod had frozen. So I did a reset and then it came up to the thing were it says it needs to be restored. I've done that like twenty times and it still says the same **** thing...
A piece of advice... don't listen to anyone who tells you to change the drive letter (it tells you how to on this site as well) it doesn't work.
Do try to restore on a friends Itunes that is prior to 7.6. I hear that really works.

I was trying to update my iOS to 6.0. iTunes requested to update to the latest version (10.7 for Win 64) in oder to update my iPhone. I did the update, restarted and when I tried to launch iTunes it gives an error message saying iTunes stopped owrking (before even starting). I've tried to download iTunes again from apple and re-install it, but it just doesn't work.

We can't know. We know nothing about your system, your browser, your Internet configuration and so on. Something on your end is blocking stuff and causing this.

I don't like some features in the new iTunes and my favorite visualizer doesn't work with it . I threw everything to do with iTunes away and tried to install an earlier version but the installer kept giving us this error page telling us to quit iTunes !

The installer is crazy . It keeps thinking that iTunes is running even though we dumped everything we could find ( preferences , application , libraries ) . Did I miss something ? Is there an uninstaller? I need an earlier than 10.5 version . I don't like the side swipe ( it feels unbalanced ) effect and my favorite visualizer doesn't work right with it . Thanks!

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine.

HT201263 iPhone not recognized by iTunes and my power button doesn't work

My iPhone just shut down after a call, battery was around 60%, its power button doesn't work and iTunes doesn't recognize it. I can't put it in DFU mode because that's by pressing home and power simultaneously but I don't have a power button. I can't restores via iTunes because it doesn't recognize it. Same thing happened to me today...when googling found people having same problem with iphone 4 and said to hold power and home buttons to reboot. It worked! I was in a panic but its like it never happened...everything is as it was before. Even showed a missed call...

ITunes sync in iOS 5 doesn't work at all!!!!

I have it enabled on my Mac... But it doesn't work... I actually have to plug it into the computer for it to work.
I thought the point of iOS 5 was to be able to "cut the cord"!!!!!!!!!

Have you enabled it on the iPhone/iPod Touch and iTunes
Once you have done this you need to ensure they are on the same WIFI network, If you have less than 50% power on the device then plug it into the mains.
You can then force the first sync in the settings>general>iTunes Wi-Fi Sync menu

ITunes 10.5 beta 3 doesn't work in OS X Lion?

After upgrading to OS X Lion yesterday, I tried to open iTunes 10.5 beta 3. A window popped up saying something about it being incompatible and needing an update. So I "updated" (it actually downgraded to 10.4).
Is there any workaround to get 10.5 beta working on Lion? I can't sync my iPhone (running iOS 5 beta 3) with an older version of iTunes.
I'm actually pretty peeved at Apple for releasing a new OS without checking the compatibility of native apps, beta or no beta.
Any help would be appreciated.

Itunes 10 Add to Library doesn't work for mp4 file

I'm running OS X Lion, iTunes 10.5.2, Quicktime 10.
I am trying to add an MP4 video file to my library and itunes simply does nothing when I drag it to the Movies folder or when I try to select the file from the Add to Library command. I've been reading for the past hour and see others have had similar issues. Is there a fix for this?

I just discovered that iTunes doesn't like the H.264 version of MP4 files. If I convert the video to MPEG-4, I can successfully copy the file into iTunes. Is this a bug or a feature?
