Itunes 10.6 doesn't see my ipad, ipod, or iphone

I reinstalled 10.6 and it worked once and now it doesn't see them again.I rebooted and it still doesn't recognize my iPad. I googled this question and this problem seems common but I haven't heard of one permanent solution. I am about to lose MobileMe, so the only way I will be able to sync is through itunes. Please tell me there is a solution. Thanks.

Do they have airdrop enabled?

  • Itunes doesn't see my Ipad (or my Iphone - now either)

Updated system software from 10.4.something to 10.5
Updated system software from 10.5 to 10.5.8 == that's where I am now.
    Itunes updated to 9.1
IPad shows up in system profiler under USB High Speed Bus
A USB disk attached to the USB shows up and is usable.
But the IPad does not connect to Itunes? .... and now neither does my IPhone ??
    Help

    HI,
Reset your iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Now connect the iPad to your Mac.
If that doesn't help go here for the iPad User's Guide
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/iPad_UserGuide.pdf
Go to page 137 and follow the instructions.

  • My PC doesn't see my iPad via iTunes, and I'm getting a message "iPad is disabled / connect to iTunes".  How do I get a login screen on the iPad?

My PC doesn't see my iPad via iTunes, and I'm getting a message "iPad is disabled / connect to iTunes".  How do I get a login screen on the iPad?

    FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note:
    1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
    2. If you did not do step 4 properly, start all over again.

  • MacBook Pro doesn't see my Ipad

Forgive if this has been posted elsewhere but i looked and could only find Ipod issues. All of a sudden my MacBook doesn't see my Ipad (1st generation). it just worked yesterday and I've done no updates and the cable is in working order. When i plug in the ipad to my laptop it doesn't even charge it. Can someone point in to a resolution other than the Genius Bar (not one in my country). sigh Thanks!!!

The reason i noted that it doesn't charge when plugged in my computer is to show that i don't think it is an itunes issue. i don't ever charge it on my computer but when i do sync it and it is plugged to my macbook, it it does show that it is charging.
That's great. I was just making a point. My iPad charges when plugged into my MacBook as well.
Did you think about updating iTunes or uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes? The most recent version of iTunes is 10.4.1. I just updated my version today - with much apprehension I might add - and it did in fact clear up a couple of issues that I was having with my iPad.
    Don't give up!!!!

I even can't send them an e-mail ? What type of company it is ?

Yes, Apple has caused people to go through massive panic, anxiety and wasted time by not coming out and telling us about this problem. They must know about it. How can we tell them? Now I understand why it took me 50 tries to upgrade to OS5. We all got the same crazy errors that caused us to reinstall iTunes, turn off our firewalls, buy new USB cables and basically waste tons of time and energy, when the solution was very simple. Plug your device into a USB port on your computer.
After years of using a peripheral USB hub successfully it's no wonder we all started freaking out and thinking it was a major problem. Yes, I'm blowing off some steam, but I've been an Apple fanatic for a long time and I'm not happy about their lack of response to this issue.

  • I was thinking of buying my wife an ipad mini. I already have an ipad, ipod and iphone working on itunes on my PC. Will the ipad mini work along with all the others?

    Hello,
I was thinking of getting my wife an ipad mini. I use a PC with Windows 7, latest version of itunes installed. From this I have an ipad, ipod and iphone, all of which work perfectly. My question is will the ipad mini also work and be recognised as another device?
Can I put some of my existing Apps onto the mini?
    Thanks in advance.

Sure, but only if the new iGadget is "married" to the rest by virtue of having the same AppleID. You will be able to back up, update and upgrade its contents, apps and iOS on the iTunes application on the PC.
However, if it shares the same AppleID as the rest of your toys, she will be able to read your mail and see your messages, which could eventually lead to battles royal on who said what to whom. So beware, you have been warned.

  • My wife and I each have iPads ipods and iPhones on one Apple account . Should we create a new account? What happens to our iTunes ,apps and iCloud? Can we share them? Will we lose any info?

MY wife and I share and Apple ID . We both have iPads, iPods, and iphones
all our purchases in iTunes , apps and iCloud are on this . If we create a new ID for one of us do we lose any of the data and purchased material or do we still share?

I would suggest that one of you retain the existing AppleID and use it for the iTunes Store, iCloud, and Messages on their iOS device and/or Mac accounts.
Then, the other one of you can create a new AppleID.
You then have two choices for how to share your existing store purchases:
    1) You can try the new "Family Sharing" feature: http://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/family-sharing/
    2) Or you can simply continue to use the original AppleID as your "iTunes Store" login on all of your devices (yours and your wife's), yet use a different AppleID to login to iCloud and Messages.
Family Sharing is supposed to be the solution to the problem and does indeed have some interesting shared features.  However, just using the same iTunes Store login has worked reliable for years.
The important this to realize is that in iOS and Mac OS, the logins for the Apple Store, Messages, and iCloud are all completely separate and can be independently configured.  So, you can each use your own AppleID for login to each of those services.  Just make sure to both login to the iTunes Store service using the same original AppleID.

  • I my harddrive with my photo library went bad, but I have the photos on my ipad, ipod and iphone.  How to I get those photos back into iphoto on my macbook?

The external drive with my photo library went bad, but I have the photos on my ipad, ipod and iphone.  How to I get those photos back into iphoto on my macbook?

Are the photos you want to send back to your mac on your iPad, iPod, iPhone saved to the camera roll? If you have photos in other albums (not camera roll) share them to the camera roll.
Then connect your device via USB and lauch iPhoto. You will see your device as a camera in iPhoto.  Import those photos like you would import from a camera.

  • How do I get Flash animated slide shows to work on iPads, iPods, and iPhones?

How do I get Flash animated slide shows to work on iPads, iPods, and iPhones?
I'm using a PC. Web Site Flash generated slide show works fine on PC's.
Does not work on Apple platforms.
What do I use to to enable animated slide shows to work on Apple platforms?

    Hello,
Flash Player is only supported on Apple OS X systems (10.6 - 10.10).  It is not, and has never been, supported on any i-Devices.  There are no plans to support these platforms.

  • Can I use the IRig to plug in my guitar on my mac book Pro or it just works in ipad, ipod and iphone?

Can I use the IRig to plug in my guitar on my mac book Pro or it just works in ipad, ipod and iphone?

    From their website:
Got a Mac? Get an iRig!
Now for the hidden features… if you have a newer Mac computer, you can use the iRig as an audio interface for it. The newer Mac models feature a headphone jack that act as a headphone/microphone input for headsets. This means that you can also use your iRig with your Mac laptop or desktop machine to take advantage of the higher processing power of your machine and you don't need an additional audio interface to use it. Simply plug the iRig into your headphone jack, plug your headphones/line out into your iRig and you've got a fully functioning audio interface for guitar/bass/keyboards, or any other instrument with a ¼" out. Pretty cool.

  • Are the battery chargers of iPad, iPod and iPhone exchangeable?

Are the battery chargers of iPad, iPod and iPhone exchangeable?
Some  say yes; some say no. I am confused.
    Could someone solve my puzzle?

The USB power adapter ( http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB352LL/C?fnode=MTY1NDA4NA&mco=MTM3NDk1MjI) is compatible with ipod and iphone, but not ipad. The ipad adapter needs a little extra power and is only compatible with the iphone 4 (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC359LL/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjA&mco=MjM2NDExMzk)
