ITunes 10.6 freezes when changing sync settings

Update to iTunes 10.6 on Windows 7 computer today. Now when I try to change my sync settings, and hit "apply" - iTunes freezes and the sync does not complete. I have already tried to factory reset the iPod Nano, and tried to totally uninstall and reinstall iTunes. Any other suggestions?

Uninstall/Reinstall did not work. Same issue with freezing as soon as it's launched.
Just to confirm, this is 10.6.3 64-bit Windows build.

Computer freezes when changing wireless settings

I first noticed this in a café last week, and now it's doing it 100% of the time.
It seems that whenever I try to change the settings on my wireless connection, the computer will freeze. Mouse won't move, video doesn't update, nothing. I have to do a hard reset (press the power button for a few seconds until the computer restarts). If the wireless connection is active, the computer will freeze soon after reboot. If the wireless connection is off, no problem.
Here's a list of the things I've tried:
- Fix hard drive permissions. No luck.
- Repair hard drive after booting from Snow Leopard DVD. Still freezes.
- I booted the computer from the OS DVD. I looked into the wireless menu and, again, it froze.
- I opened the computer and put the original memory in it. Still freezes.
I have to admit I am at a loss here. I'm going to a client site next week and I don't mind looking like an idiot because I can't use wireless on my computer, but it's still incredibly annoying.
Any ideas?

cmd-opt-n-v (Clear NV RAM) may help you.
Also, "Repair Disk Permissions" from Disk Utility may help.
Last, have you installed the latest update (10.4.6)?

PC Health in BIOS freezes when changing fan settings

Hello everyone. I seem to be having a problem with my K8n Diamond plus board. Whenever i try to go into the PC health to change fan settings the bios seems to freeze up and i have to press reset to get out. Is there a bios flash that can fix the problem? Any replys would be much appreciated

Try to change values by using the + & - keys on the numeric side of the keyboard or using PageUp & PageDown keys once
you have the item in cmos highlighted. Dont hit enter on the cmos item .
There has been several bios bugs over time that halts bios on certain items if using enter on it (fault in the list range of the items).
Workaround for theese has been to scroll the value with +/- or PgUp/PgDwn keys.

You cannot.
By Design the iPhone can Only Sync to One iTunes Library at a time.

At least taking a glance through the iPhone user guide may be a good idea for you especially if you don't know how to change your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. With your iPhone connected to iTunes, select your iPhone under Devices in the iTunes source list. The various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes will be available in the main iTunes window.

When i disconnect the iphone itunes unfreezes instantly.
Where is the problem?
Ipad syncs with no problems.

I found a solution is to remove the podcast from my iphone and then it work immediately
But this is anoying to allways remove my podcast from my iphone
I will try your solution to way a long time and see if the problem resolve by itself I keep you posted of my results

Nano freeze when finishing sync

iTunes freezes (completely non-responsive, won't close, etc) when it is finishing sync. Doesn't occur all of the time but occurs enough (> 50%) to be incredibly annoying as it ends up basically locking up the system as any apps launched after tend to lock up or not even start. I can kill iTunes with resmon but there is something (service, ??) still lingering and fouling the system up, even a windows shutdown will not complete as it hangs in the process of shutting down.
Latest iTunes (10.4.0.80), Win7. ipod nano multitouch (latest version).
I've tried un-installing & re-installing iTunes. I've scanned the "freeze when finishing sync" and they don't seem to apply; I don't have any iTune add-ins installed and am not using remote drives. I do tend to run close to the limit of the Nano capacity.

Copy all the contents currently on your iPod Classic to your new iTunes library and then choose the Erase and Sync option. See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

If you open the recovery drive (partition) it should only have a single folder (Recovery).
To make sure that your not saving restore points to that drive.
See:
Start, Control Panel, System, System Protection tab. Make sure the D drive partition is set to OFF so that it does not save there.

Did you try reinstalling the app and contacting the developer (there should be a contact link on the app's description page in the store) ? If you don't get a reply from the developer then you could try
'report a problem' link from the purchase history on your computer's iTunes instead of on your iPad : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link (iTunes support should reply within, I think, 24 to 48 hours).
Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

IMac freezes when changing the screen saver

Hi all:
I originally posted this in the "Using Mac OS X" forum (iMac freezes when changing the screen saver, but thought I'd post here as well since the issue arises on a freshly installed OS.
We've got three 350MHz slot-loading G3 iMacs (with 512MB RAM) which we're planning to use for basic word processing. The install of Panther (10.3.5 from black retail cds with 10-seat volume license) went fine on the first two. Ran the updates to 10.3.9, installed MS Office 2004, everything working great (they're a little slow, but after all, they are only 350 MHz).
On the third, the first problem we noticed was the computer would lock up whenever we changed the screen saver from the default (Flurry; Computer Name also works). It continues to do so even after: repair permissions; repair disk; Disk Warrior; reset pram; reset nvram; reset pmu; change RAM; change hard drive; erase hard drive; write zeros to hard drive; reinstall with different set of retail CDs; trash preferences, and delete cache files. (If there's anything I've left out, it's in the other thread).
Now we've noticed that we can't create any new user accounts. We've thought about putting this one in production, just warning the user that they can't change the screen saver, but god only knows what will turn up next.
I'm starting to think it's a logic board issue, but could it be that selective? And would you see the same problem with another hard drive and different install discs? Am I missing something?
BTW, there's a crash log with the other thread.

I'm going to mark this one as answered.
I removed the hard drive from the iMac, and put it into another 350 MHz iMac, and everything works great. I can select any screen saver without having it freeze, create new accounts, whatever my little heart desires.
In checking the history of the problem iMac, there was an assortment of problems with booting (both from the hard drive and from the CD-ROM drive) which were never satisfactorily resolved. The problems just seemed to go away after sitting unplugged for a few days, as much as for anything we actually did to it.
Now we just have to decide whether it's worth fixing, or using it somewhere in a non-critical role with OS 9 installed.

No, I uninstalled Apple Mobile device support and had no problems with my iPod.
If you are worried you can always put it back by doing a repair install of iTunes.

ITunes 11 (Win7) freezes when syncing iPhone 4S / Ipad2

After installing iTunes 11 I can no longer sync my iPhone 4S or iPad 2 via either wifi or with the sync cable. Syncing was balky after the iOS6 rollout under the last version of iTunes 10, and it never worked over wifi (again, only after upgrading to iOS6), but at least I could get a cable sync to work about 60% of the time. I was hoping and praying that this issue would be fixed with the new iTunes, but sadly the situation has gone from bad to catastrophic. iTunes still fails to recognize or sync my devices over wifi, and now when I try doing a cable sync it appears that iTunes will recognize the device and attempt to start a sync, but I've never made it past step 2 before iTunes completely hangs, at which point I can only force it to shut down through the task manager. Of course it doesn't help that iTunes 11 is woefully sluggish on my two-year-old quad-core computer with 6GB RAM. That's even after restarting the system and launching iTunes with no other programs running. APPLE: you seem to be in a very self-destructive mode these days. But I digress...
If anybody has an idea of how I can make my iPad and iPhone sync again I will be very appreciative.

I have the same problem. I cannot sync or apply any settings to my iPhone in iTunes after upgrading to iTunes 11. It just freezes/hangs. I also found that since the upgrade to iOS 6 that the sync is problematic.
The only fix I have seen on-line is to completly wipe the iPhone and do a restore. That is insane.
