Itunes 10.7 and iPhone 5, No entries under 'Artists' or 'Albums' tabs

I have iTunes 10.7 and an iPhone 5, also an iPhone 4S (IOS6) with the same problem. When I access the shared music on my computer from the Music app, only 'songs' tab contains entries, there are no entries under 'Artist' or 'Album'. It appears that all the songs in my library are listed under 'songs' but it makes it very difficult when I want to search for an Artist or Album and can't. Can anyone help me sort this out?

I have a similar problem with albums not showing on my iPad3 via Home Sharing from my Mac mini, since "upgrading" to iOS6. Like yourself, they're all listed under songs only. The other tabs are useless.
I'm frankly appalled at all the iOS6 errors and - as usual - Apple ignore 99% of the complaints on its own forums. It seems Apple really only care about your money... At this rate Apple's glory days will soon start to slip away :/
The Maps issue was only addressed because the media got hold of it...
Really hoping all these stupid errors are addressed in the next update. Apple used to pride itself on its products "just working".....

I Am having the same issue. Ie on the password issue.
I Am using a Macpro though.
i Have had no issues with the setup until recently.
However I think the hard drive is starting to fail as it keeps on losing the wireless connection and gas been stuttering a lot on playback.

No Synchronisation of Photos between iTunes 10.5 and iPhone 3GS after iOS 5

I made the Update to iTunes 10.5 on my Notebook with Windows XP and the Update to iOS 5 on my iPhone 3GS.
I had a lot of Problems (the Backup had an Error, my outgoing Mails were all deleted in all Mail Accounts, the Synchronisation of Music and Apps needs a lot of Synchronisations and a lot of Time and so on) with these Updates and I need more than 12 Hours at the Moment to repair all the Errors.
My last Problem is:
There is no Synchronisation of Photos between iTunes 10.5 and iPhone with iOS 5.
I can not see my Photos in my iPhone.
The Capacity in iTunes 10.5 shows 4,4 GB Fotos on my iPhone, but in my iPhone, there is no Folder in the Photo App and so I can not see the 4,4 GB of my Photos.
This Problem comes with iOS 5. I had this Problem never before.
First, I gave in iTunes a OK for a Home Sharing of Music, Videos, Photos and so on for the Folders and for the iPhone.
Second, I was in iTunes in Photos and deleted the Check in the Folder Photos.
Third, I made a Synchronisation with iTunes and the iPhone.
Fourth, the Capacity of the Photos was then only at 0,17 GB.
Fifth, I close iTunes and switched off the iPhone.
Sixth, I started iTunes and iPhone new and bring both together with the USB-Port.
Seventh, the Syncronisation started and the Capacity of the Photos in iTunes was at 0,17 GB, too.
Eigth, I set a new Check in the Folder Photos in iTunes for a Synchronisation.
Ninth, the Capacity showed 4,4 GB again.
Tenth, the Synchronisation started and showed on the Display "2 Photos of 16.000".
Eleventh, the Synchronisation Circle stopped after 10 Seconds, but the Notebook worked 2 Minutes longer.
And after this the Synchronisation stopped appruptely / crashed (?) and the Photos are "unvisible" on the iPhone.
Is this a known Bug?
Has Someone a Solution for a correct Synchronisation of the Photos, so that I can see successfully my Photos in my iPhone again?

Ever since my upgrade to iTunes 10.5 my laptop has been crashing. I've heard that the update ***** up 100% of your CPU, essentially crashing your computer. Apple, fix this now!!!

Upgraded to iTunes 9.2 and iPhone 4 -- all of my third-party apps missing

I'm not exactly sure where the issue came from, but I somehow lost all of my apps as I upgraded to iTunes 9.2 and the iPhone 4 today. But I figured out what happened and *I have the solution*, which I'd like to share...
This occurred on June 24, 2010 (iPhone 4 launch day). The steps I took to upgrade to iTunes 9.2 and iPhone 4 were as such:
1) I did a full sync and backup of my iPhone 3GS with iTunes 9.1.
2) I upgraded iTunes 9.1.x.xx to iTunes 9.2.0.61 (the first version compatible with iPhone 4).
3) I activated my new iPhone 4 and set it up based on my 3GS's back up data.
4) When it was done setting up the iPhone 4, I noticed that all of the native apps and their app data were intact, but I was missing all of my third-party app store apps. Note that all the apps on my 3GS were obviously still intact.
5) I noticed that I had zero apps in the iTunes library (at the top left under "Library"). Thus, with my 3GS plugged in, I right clicked on the iPhone in iTunes under "Devices" and selected "Transfer Purchases". This transferred all of the apps on my 3GS to the iTunes library.
6) I plugged in my iPhone 4, and noticed that on the "Apps" tab under "Devices / iPhone name", the "Sync Apps" box was unchecked. So I checked it, and it gives you a scary message saying that all of the apps in the iTunes Library (which I had just populated in step 5) will overwrite the app data on your iPhone. I didn't have any app data on my iPhone 4, so I clicked "OK". All of the apps transferred from the iTunes Library to my iPhone 4 with all of the app data (game saves, etc) intact.
So that's my solution. I'm sure this must be happening to other people. My main piece of advice is: after upgrading to iTunes 9.2 and syncing your old phone for the last time, make sure you have apps in your App Library and "Sync Apps" is checked. If not, follow the steps above.
This same issue also happened to my friend, but he doesn't have his old iPhone 3GS to restore the app data from. If anyone has any suggestions as to how he can save his app data, please let me know. Thanks.

Well this won't work for me...
I had all of my apps and music stored in iTunes, I updated to the newest 9.2 iTunes and did a 4.0 update to my iPhone 3G all the while not noticing that EVERYTHING IN iTUNES was GONE. When I got done updating my iPhone it was late so i went to bed... Next day came back to sync everything and thats when I saw it was all gone...

did what the link said and NOW I have all my 6K+ MUSIC back but not ONE APP. The App's are completely gone from when you nav. to the location the link says... There isn't a mobile sync folder there...
NOT SURE WHAT TO DO NEXT... Very Frustrated and MAD. I don't want to redownload all my apps manually. TO many to do it that way.

It could be that the existing wire in your appartment is not clean enough to provision DSL only. When combined with the phone possibly it has a higher line voltage and worked before. Now that the line is to be provisioned without phone service it may be giving them trouble that did not show before they came out and ran the new line test. So a new jack dedecated for your DSL line may require a new wire be run to your appartment. Also the account for internet only used to require direct billing to a credit card or something else. This was a number of years ago. Most accounts are linked to a phone number, and without a voice number it adds to the confusion.
If you are getting the voice and everything turned on as before, then I am at a loss for words.

Songs on my iPhone aren't appearing under the correct albums even though in iTunes they are correctly arranged. On my phone instead of the songs showing up in their respective albums as on iTunes they are under one Unknown Album. I have synced but the problem is still there

It's already on. It's not all songs just some that refuse to go into their correct albums.

ITunes 10.6 and iPhone 4 iOS5.1 100% CPU utilisation and cannot revert to iTunes 10.5.3

Upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1 and ITunes to 10.6. As soon as I start iTunes to sync my iPhone the CPU utiisation jumps to 100%. I have run 'netsh winsock reset' and restarted my PC before opening iTunes following previous similar problems. On cancelling out iTunes it takes a backup such that when I tried to revert to iTunes 10.5.3, which had been working for me, the backup is now incompatible and I am likewise unable to sync. Help please - anyone else experienced similar or the same?

ITunes 10.1 and iPhone 4 - failure to connect / sync

Apologies if this is already out there but couldn't see.
Since iTunes 10.x, neither iPhone 4 can connect to main XP PC through iTunes. The iPhones screens themselves flick up a "this accessory doesn't charge" message, just momentarily but repeatedly. The bing-bing of USB connection and disconnection occurs every few seconds.
Nothing appears in iTunes except a generic looking "connection error" message.
Other various error messages come up. The most consistent are a Windows error, 0xE 8000001 and an iTunes "Error 7". So I Googled and thought it might be a USB failure and tried upgrading drivers - all were up to date. And all other USB functions are fine. And ipod shuffle is recognised in iTunes 10 no problem through same USB, same PC.
I fully uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes 10.2 but no help.
When I try either iPhone4 on a XP laptop with iTunes 9, there is no problem at all.
So is this a iTunes 10/iPhone software issue?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

OK, managed to solve my own problem.
It's a variation on the OxE 8000065 problem. I used a USB hub and can now connect, all be it USB 1.1.
Though I do notice other postings about iTunes update and connections issues...

Since upgrading itunes, my iPad and iPhone aren't recognized by iTunes. Anyone have any ideas on a resolution?

I upgraded iTunes last week, and since then, iTunes doesn't recognize my iPad and iPhone. I want to change some of my music, but can't change anything!! Any one have ideas as to how I can resolve this issue? I've tried unistalling and then reinstalling iTunes with no luck.

Sharing apps in itunes on 3GS and iphone 4 with seperate logins

Hello,
I just purchased a iphone 4 for my self and giving my wife my old 3GS phone. I was wondering if i have to buy the apps twice so we each get it on our phones. We use an Imac with our seperate logins and seperate itunes. I do have both itunes accounts setup to my own account to make any purchases.
So is this possible to do it the way I have it setup?

3rd party apps - paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account used to download the apps with. There is no device limit for the number of iPods, iPads, and iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on the same computer. If you and your wife share the same iTunes account, you can transfer the apps from your iTunes library to her iTunes library or she can re-download the apps with iTunes under her computer login account and you won't be charged again for a purchased app as long as you use the same iTunes account to re-downloaded the app that was used to purchase the app originally.

In most cases removing the enter kernel extension shouldn't be necessary.
Just remove iTunes from /Applications/ and the receipts from /Library/Receipts/
Download and install iTunes 7.6.

Have downloaded a song (Skyfall) and cant find it in the Artists or Album view.

I have tried adding the file manually to my library. Still no show. The song also doesn't show in my smart playlist - 'recently added'. Any help greatly appreciated.

Actual its not Photoshop menu (File > Edit > Presets > Preset Manager > Load)
It is menu Edit>Presets>Preset Manager... That should open the Preset manager dialog. You then need to use the pull-down menu and select tools. Then Click on Load. That should Open a Load file selection dialog. Where you should be able to select a *.TPL file and click Load.

Iphone sycn issues with itunes 7.6 and iphone 1.1.2 on XP pro

I know this has been raised in other forum posts. Has anybody worked this out? or Apple will you be releasing an update soon?
I lost about 300 of my contacts (now have about 530 on my phone). I since tried to replace contacts on my iphone with those on outlook. This resulted in about 300 duplicates.
Everything is scrwd... I really need some help.

Not sure it is all that weird, amazing or non-happy camper related given how many people are having the same problems. Glad you aren't having problems. However, reading through the last few days of entries reveals that a lot of people are having problems. How many more are reading and not posting?
I've not had a single synchronization issue UNTIL today's upgrade. It is not amazing or weird. It is annoying and a legitimate problem. This does not make me a non-happy camper. It makes me a frustrated customer in need of a timely solution.
Now, I can synchronize without receiving an error message. Unfortunately, even though iTunes says the calendar and contacts are synching, no new edits on the iPhone or in Outlook transfer. In addition, the contacts section takes an incredibly long period of time to complete. I've ensured the appropriate synch boxes were checked in iTunes. Even attempted to overwrite the existing contacts and calendar data with the Outlook data by checking the appropriate boxes in iTunes. iTunes said the overwrite was occurring, but once complete, the old data remained unchanged. Then attempted to reset to factory setting. Same deal - iTunes said it was doing so and reloaded my setting back-up without issue. Once complete, the calendar and contacts were exactly as they were before the reset - right down to the test entries I had made to measure the success of the next synch.
Hopefully an interim fix will be released or troubleshooting guide related specifically to these issues will be published soon. In the meantime, I'll try erasing the synch history when I return to the office.
