ITunes 10.7 not downloading!

I have been trying to update my iPhone 4 to the recent iOS6 update via iTunes, but my iTunes requires update10.7 to download iOS6. I do not use iTunes on my computer (Windows 7) very often, so it was not suprising to me that I needed to preform a few updates. However, my suprise did come when I could not download iTunes 10.7. I have even gone under the Help tab under iTunes and manually searched for the update, but when it finds 10.7 and I go to download it, the box disappears and nothing happens. A bar appears for a split, saying that it is downloading, but quickly disappears. I know i could always update my iPhone 4 from its settings, but I will more than likely lose compatibility with my current iTunes on my computer if I needed to access it again (which I more than likely will).
I have tried abour ten times now, and in my frustration, I went to the internet to find a possible answer to this problem. Apparently, other people have been having issues with downloading iTunes updates (both a few previous updates and the current one available) but have not found a solution. Many have given up and re-downloaded iTunes entirely, or even gone through such lengths to get it done (hard-core technical magic), but I do not want to lose anything that I have now or go through such a process and or risk messing something up on my computer. Is there any solution that may fix this problem?

Update:
I re-downloaded iTunes completely and learned that iTunes will keep ALL of your content, music, pictures and information that you had on your previous iTunes and transfers it to whatever new installation of itself you put on your computer. In this process it also deletes whatever version you had previously, along with any shortcuts, and replaces them with the newest version. (Many people, when searching online, said that Apple had no official fix or solution to the iTunes updating issues, but I think the way iTunes replaces itself like this was made in case of such event, which would explain why I couldnt find any official processes to fix this).
All you need to do is go under iTunes on Apple's site and download it (even if you already have it) and it will just replace your old version. You will have to go through all of the downloading process (wizard) but it will be well worth it.
I suggest this to ANY and ALL who are having issues with updating thier iTunes or downoading the update, especially those who have updated their iPhones to iOS6 through their phone and not computer. I am pretty sure it will work on other versions of Windows or on a Mac, and hope this will help anyone else who is having this issue.

  • 2nd Gen Ipod will sync with itunes but will not download new song

My Ipod will sync with itunes but will not download newly purchased songs.  It is Ipod nano 2nd gen.

If you want to use automatic syncing, you may need to set up or update the iPod's Music sync settings in iTunes.  If the new songs are not included in what gets synced to the iPod, they will not sync.
If the sidebar (along left side of window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.  The iPod appears in the sidebar, under DEVICES.  Select it there, to show its Summary screen to the right.  Toward the top, there is a bar of buttons, starting with Summary.  Click on Music next to Summary.  This Music screen is where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box for Sync Music, if not already checked. This is the "switch" to enable automatic syncing for songs.
NOTE:  If Sync Music is not already checked, that means the iPod is currently set to Manually manage music.  Setting up automatic syncing will replace the iPod existing content.  If you want to add the new songs manually to the iPod (instead of using automatic syncing), please post back.
If your iTunes library fits on the iPod, you can choose the option to sync Entire music library.  Otherwise, choose the option to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  Below that, select (checkmark) what you want to sync to the iPod from the lists.
One convenient way to set this up is to first create one or more playlists in your iTunes library, with ALL of the songs you want on the iPod.  Or you can use existing playlists.  Back on the iPod's Music screen in iTunes, select those playlists under Playlists.
When you click Apply, iTunes syncs the songs in your selection(s) to the iPod (replacing its existing content).  Going forward, to update the iPod, you can just update those playlists in your iTunes library (add/remove songs).  If you have new songs, add them to a playlist that is synced to the iPod.  The iPod does not need to be connected.  The next time you connect the iPod (or click Sync if already connected), iTunes automatically updates your iPod with the same changes.

  • HT1688 iTunes Match is not downloading properly to my iPhone.

iTunes Match is not downloading properly to my iPhone.  I removed some songs from the cloud and it has not sent some songs to my iPhone and a lot of my artwork is not coming down.  I have tried to turn it on and off in iTunes, updated to Match and restarted the computer and phone.  Nothing works.  I just began using Match.  What am I doing wrong?  How do I fix this?

  • ITunes LP did not download off of pre-order

I downloaded Timberlake's "20/20 Experience (Deluxe)" today..although I got the songs, the iTunes LP did not download - WHY?

Having the same problem except mine isn't showing up in purchase history. I got an email notifying me that the download was released and iTunes successfully downloaded the album itself but not the iTunes LP digital booklet/experience files. I actually only ordered from iTunes for this, already have the physical CD, I hope this gets resolved quickly.

  • HT1725 my recent itunes songs did not download completely. How do I redownload them?

my recent itunes songs did not download completely. How do I redownload them?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • On my iphone the Itunes store did not download when I updated to the latest software 7.02.

Updated Apple software on my Iphone4s. Itune store did not download but my songs did. I cannot access Itune store app.

    Hi, helpme177.
If you are experiencing issues with the iTunes Store failing to launch, there are a couple of things you can try.  The first would be to reset all settings.  Go toSettings > General > Reset > Reset all settings.
If the issue persists, try signing out of all services that require signing into your Apple ID and then signing back in.

  • My full iTunes purchase did not download; what are my options?

my full iTunes purchase did not download; what are my options?

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to restart iTunes. While downloading selectDownloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloadsisunticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • TS4062 i cannot sync my phone with itunes because my software is 10.5.8 so new itunes version will not download. How else can i sync iphone to my mac?

i cannot sync my iphone with itunes because my software is too old- 10.5.8. The new itunes version will not download. How else can i sync my iphone to my mac?

You need to buy and install a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD; once it's installed, run the Software Update pane of System Preferences twice.
There is no other way to sync it, but content can be downloaded directly from the iTunes Store servers; for non-purchased music, this requires signing up for iTunes Match, which costs more than the DVD.

  • Itunes app will not download after 1+ months

So I downloaded an app to itunes (that I paid for thank you very much in case anyone thought I stole it) and it will not download onto my iphone 4.  I have downloaded other apps from itunes that have downloaded successfully.  Every time I try to download it, the error message that comes up says that I need to update my iphone software.  To add to this frustration I just became a member of the Apple Iphone Family by upgrading to an iphone about two months ago so I mean come on, how much newer does my iphone software need to be if I just got the phone two months ago??  And to add to the frustration, I cannot call from another phone to solve this problem eventhough apple care says I need to so I can solve this problem.
So help a guy out here Apple Family.  How do I solve this problem without doing a system restore and wiping out all my music and files?

Well, what version iOS do you have? What version does the software require? Have you tried contacting the developer?
Doing a restore only deletes them from your device. Simply re-installing them via iTunes solves the problem of "wiping out all my music and files"

  • HT2105 How do I get my money back from itunes that would not download but were charged to my gift card

I received an itunes gift card for Christmas.  I was able to download about 10 songs but there are still 3 remaining that will not download after numerous attempts and I have already been charged for them.  What do I need to do at this point? Can the money be refunded?

I am waiting for an answer! This is ridiculous!

  • ITunes Upgrade Will Not Download On My PC

The problem is that I can't download itunes 7.2 on my WIN XP PC. I can not purchase anything from the music store until I download that. It won't let me. It thanks me for downloading, but then when I go to the music store to purchase music it tells me to download (which it already thanked me for doing!!!). I NEVER had a problem before. I have had an existing itunes account since I received my IPod last Christmas (2005). Please help.
    Thank you.

SOunds like the download isn't actually downloading
OR your downloading and saving, but not installing.
Open the version of itunes you have and goto
Help>about and it should say version 7.0.2.16 If it
does not say this you need to goto the link below
    and download it.
When you goto the link if you do not see a "Download
now" button or instantly after hitting it you get a
"Thanks for downloading" with out any pop up asking
for you to save or run, post back
Thank you for your prompt reply. I followed your instructions but it's still not working. I tried downloading on my mother's computer. Still will not download. It looks like the problem originates with Apple's iTunes. What should I do now?
    Thanking you for any advice.

  • Entire Itunes library will not download to Ipod nano! All is checked and it says it synced but it will only put the few new purchased songs on my ipod.

My son deleted the music from my Ipod.  I pulled up my Itunes on a new computer with windows 8 and pluged in the Ipod and my music reappeared.  However, I then purchased new music and the new music would not download.  I am not sure what I did but now the new music is on my ipod and all the old music is gone.  When I am in my itunes account all the songs are selected and when I hit sync it is still only syncing the newly purchased songs.  How can I get my entire library back on my ipod?

So you also rebooted your router correct?  Does the iPod still connect okay to other networks?

  • ITunes Store Purchase not downloaded

    I have purchased
Seven Steps to Heaven, Miles Davis:
    Numéro de commande : M285056182
    Date de réception : 08/10/06
I got an error message and the music was not downloaded.
Yet, Payment was taken from my credit card.
How can I get the music without paying again?
    Claude Rondeau

Look under the iTunes Advanced menu for the "Check for purchases" command and run that. You may find the other tracks there to be downloaded. If not, contact the iTunes Music Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of this web page and explain the problem to them. They'll probably then reset the download for those missing tracks.
Forum Tip: Since you're new here, you've probably not discovered the Search feature available on every Discussions page, but next time, it might save you time (and everyone else from having to answer the same question multiple times) if you search a couple of ways for a topic, both in the relevant forums, in the User Tips Library and in the Apple Knowledge Base before you post a question.

  • Why do I get the error message "iTunes Match could not download because disconnected from network?  I'm connected to the internet during that time with Safari so am I not connected to the network?

Why do I get the error message "iTunes Match could not be updated because you were disconnected from the network during processing."  I'm on the internet during all of this.  What disconnect is the message referring to?  Itunes is frozen now.  I keep clicking OK but it just comes back with no action.

    Hello FredJay,
Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities.
iTunes Match needs a network connection to work, either Wi-Fi, cellular or wired. See the following:
Make sure you have an active Internet connection
Be sure your computer or device has an active Internet connection by loading a webpage using Safari or another web browser.
On an iOS device with cellular support, if you are not on a Wi-Fi network, try enabling 3G cellular data1 for iTunes Match.
For iOS 6, tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Use Cellular Data > On
For iOS 5.1.1 or earlier, tap Settings > iTunes & App Store > Use Cellular Data > On
1Fees may be associated with downloading over cellular networks; contact your wireless carrier for details.
