ITunes 10: Is this supposed to happen?
Whenever I click on iTunes 10, my dock bar and menu bar disappear. They don't scroll down and up, like any animation. Just poof, gone. Is this supposed to happen?
And if so, how do I get to the preferences. And if you want to help me out with this, how do you write a review? When I click on it, only a bar shows up, and not any box to write in.
Are these all supposed to happen, and I'm just not understanding it, or is something wrong?
You might try rebooting your computer. Select Shutdown and let the computer turn off. Then start it up again and see if the problem is corrected.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

My IPhone 5 will not recognize that I have an Itunes Match account. When I try to turn the Itunes Match button on in settings I get a mesage saying I am not subscribed to ITunes Match. This does not happen with my Ipad. Any Ideas what to do?

I have just now tried the Reinstall via iTunes, about 20 into the download, the iTunes logo on the phone disappeared, and the Apple Logo appeared again,,, I waited until the iTunes stated that the download had finished, and the install was in progress,,,
Nothing happened, still the Apple Logo was visual on the screen, iTunes never recognised the phone which it was on my iTunes account previously,,,
Still just a bunch of lines, maybe 5 or 6 so small writing,, I personally can not read what it is telling me, someone said it reads, incorrect shutdown,,,????????

I have backed up my iPad to iCloud as prompted but all my emails have disappeared from my mailboxes, is this suppose to happen? If so, how can I access my backup to see my emails?

You don't get to download music again for free.
Unless you are in the U.S. then you can use the beta version of the cloud.

I am getting some "mail activity" that I don't understand. When I finish writing an email, I notice that the little "MAIL ACTIVITY" bar thing starts going and reading "outgoing messages - 1 of 2" before I even send the email. I just sent like 4 test emails, and the "outgoing message" window is counting the size of the mail before I even click "send." Is that supposed to happen?

Damonyeah something is wrong with the Mail Activity. I just tested it again, sent myself an email, and when I "got mail" it said "receiving 8 of 8" but I only got one message. Must be a bug, i can't see that it effects anything.

The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup... Restore as New...

If you try all these steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...

ITunes 12.1.1.4 grows Other between syncs Is this supposed to happen?
I've been using iTunes for years and this latest version 12.1.1.4 seems to grow the Other space exponential between syncs (from 1.45 G to 45.,6!) I have searched for a solution and none other than restoring the system seems to work. (had to do it twice in the past 24 hours! :-() I understand what Other is supposed to contain. None of my apps seems to be using an inordinate amount of space. Is there a problem with this version? Or is something else going on? This is really unacceptable! Thx for any help you can provide.
Further info about the issue above. The expanded "Other" seems to be the sum of the audio data I have plus the "original" "Other".

Multifolio app with iTunes Subscription - What is supposed to happen
OK so I have built an iOS multi folio app with iTunes Subscription and downloaded the developer app for testing.
I load and launch the app on my iPad and am presented with:
1. the subscription banner
2. The latest folio with two buttons (Free) and (Subscribe)
3. All other folios in a grid below with a (Free) button.
When I tap either the banner or the (Subscribe) button I see the Purchasing Subscription title appear for a few seconds and then the title reverts to the name of the viewer app.
The Subscribe banner and button are still there. Is that the behaviour I should be expecting? If not what should I expect to happen?

When testing an iOS app for subscriptions, your should:
- Log out of the App store
- Make sure you are creating a test user in iTunes Connect to be able to test in the SandBox environment (with ipa)
- Open your App and tap the subscription, it will ask you if you want to subscribe and also will ask that you log in with an existing Apple ID (that should be your test account)
- If all is set up properly and working, you will get a confirmation and the banner should go away
As I mentioned, make sure you are referencing the product ID of the subscription itself. -

Click the second link in the HTMLIf you are in an app in landscape mode and hit the home screen button you can periodically get this screen. Why would you want it? The auto rotation feature itself is only supported in apps that support portrait and landscape. The sense UI home screen doesn't really support it. It just is a flaw in the rotation from the app that does support it. This hasn't done it to me since I have had 2.1 installed though..must have have been a 1.5 bug.

Wierd functionality of OC4J with BMP EJB....Crazy or is this supposed to happen?
Hi. I'm in a class developing a BMP Entity EJB. I deployed the
bean, whose functionality does simple insert, update, delete
from one table. I created a test client to run from the command
line which works for the create (it inserts a row into the
database). I run SQLPLUS to confirm this.
I then go in to the database through SQL PLUS and delete the row
and commit.
Then I RERUN the test client and the application gives me an
javax.ejb.DuplicateKeyException . Should this happen? When I
look in the database, the ejbCreate is called because the row is
inserted back in, so that much works, but for some reason the
exception is called. Anybody have an idea?

EJB setting in the orion-ejb-jar.xml file.
Under <entity-deployment>,
you need to set exclusive-write-access = "false"
The current default is "true"
The default of "true" basically assumes the EJB is the only way
to access the data in the database, so it gives better
performance since data is cached. However, if your application
is used in a distributed environment where you have other
applications working with the data (i.e. Developer App, or
SQLPLUS), then you will want to set this field to "false". -
Is this supposed to happen - Apple screen comes on when turning on 5G 30GB?
I have a new 5G 30GB. I have noticed that when I go to turn it on after not turning it on for a few hours the dark "Apple" screen comes on before it brings me to the menu. This appears to only happen when I do not use my ipod for several hours. If I am turning it on and off for any period of time, when I turn it on the menu screen instantly comes on, and the "Apple" screen does not. Is this normal? Why does it happen like this
This is perfectly normal.
Your iPod is going into Hibernation mode.

When I try to play music downloaded from itunes on my iPhone 4S it says 'this URL is not found on the server'. This does not happen when I play the same music on my iPad. The music plays fine. The message also comes up when I try and login to iTunes on my iMac. Can anyone help?

This just started happening.. I open Itunes and the little round rainbow loading indicator just goes on and doesnt stop.. My itunes wont function.. It gets stuck. Then i have to force quit.. I tried to shut down and restart. also reloaded the latest itune 11.1.3 and it still gets stuck.
i use an external HD and thats fine.. all files are in there. But I have no idea why my itunes app is getting stuck.

Server failing to run multiple services after Windows Update ran last night.
