Itunes 10, just downloaded, wont open store
I just download itunes 10 and the store wont open. this is the message that comes up, "Itunes could not connect to iTunes store. The network conection timed-out. Make sure your network settings are correct, and your network connection is active, then try again." I got a similar message whhen i had iTunes 7, except i could connect to the store, just not my account. i dont know what to do, but i am pretty good with computers someone help me, please, thanks.
I have the same problem. I think there is an internal error with the new version update. It was working fine about 2-3 days ago. I have ran a diagnostics and iTunes report system verified that there is an error with the 1 on 1 connection with the iTunes store and the internet connection. I have done everything the help center says to do, and yet no further. I think that iTunes needs to bring out a new update to fix this...... but then again how could we access the iTunes store to download this. The only option I can advise to Apple is that they create (and anytime soon would be good) an update to repair this internal problem and publish it to there website that will install the update manually to iTunes through the internet connection. That should fix this but how long until the main guys at Apple put there heads together and realize that there valuable customers are waiting to buy apps,videos,movies,ibooks,music etc. And cannot do this because of there faulty software. God if I can solve this problem in my head and I am only 15 then why cant they? Right now Apple is disappointing me. Especially when I am thinking of upgrading to a MacBook.

I did the latest update for iTunes and now it wont open. It says my version is corrupted. Is there a way to fix it without re-installing?
Just remove and reinstall iTunes.
This has no affect on the media on the computer. -

with that one, let's try swapping out your QuickTime.
head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we’ll manually remove any leftover program files and folders.
1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
7. Restart your computer.
next, we'll get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again. does it launch properly now? -

Unfortunately uninstalling and reinstalling or repairing iTunes alone won't fix the problem, you need to remove other components too....
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Earlier iTunes (and supporting applications) need to be completely uninstalled before you can install the new version. Here's the complete Apple info on this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
Mobile device application will most likely fail to uninstall, so you would need to visit its location(s) and manually delete the files then folder(s). The location of the folders is documented in this link from Apple.
You won't lose your music when you uninstall iTunes. It's located in your music folder and won't be touched. -

Itunes download wont open and "is reported as unsafe" how do i fix this?!
