ITunes 11.0.1.12 64 bit for windows 7 DISASTER

anyone else find that itunes doesn't want to play anything under this configuration? Even when I have properly downloaded thye 64bit version for windows 7.  And the New Apple (post Jobs) just looks on and does nothing.  C'mon Apple - this is garbage - fix it - I know I'm not the only one.

I've never had issues with iTunes and Windows 7 64bit on my desktop, laptop or my partner's laptop.
Since you've failed to mention what the issue is (e.g. what happens when trying to play "anything"), my initial reaction is the problem is merely user related.

  • Where is the link to download iTunes rev 10.6.3 (32 bit) for windows?

I uploaded the latest rev (10.7) and it doesn't function properly on my old computer.  I would like to go back in time but am unable to find a link

The problem manifests itself in the following manner.  If iTunes V7 is playing music in the background and I am using another program or the internet in parallel, the music will frequently stop and then start momentarily.  I'm sure this is because my computer is older being purchased in 2004.  For reference, I am using a Pentium 4, 2.8GHz w/ 1M cache + 2GB RAM.  I never had any issues w/ iTunes rev 10.6.3

  • ITunes Error 7 (Windows error 127) after installing iTunes 64-bit for Windows

After installing iTunes 64-bit for Windows (latest build), I get an error pop-up saying:
iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes
    Error 7 (Windows error 127)
I've gone thru the uninstall, reboot and reinstall process three or four times now. Still nothing.
Furthermore, after clicking okay to the error, it continues to pop up on it's own every 45 seconds or so.
There was one other error I came across after trying to launch iTunes after installation.
    See both error messages here:

Brilliant. Thanks a lot. I've wasted a couple of hours on this nasty bug, & trying all the other suggestions across various threads again and again.
I now find I had the same registry entry hanging on, despite uninstalling & wiping everything again and again. Having now deleted this key, (I don't even have an iPod), & iTunes 11.1.14 now opens at long last.
But WHY is this bug not fixed? Enough people are suffering with this across the forum. WHERE is Apple support on this?
It should have been added to their page at
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
    by now, why hasn't it???
    It's not good enough!
    Re:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls]
    "C:\\Program Files\\iPod\\bin\\iPodService.exe"=dword:80000000
AHA! This entry for iPodService.exe still exhisted.  So I had no folders on the PC, no installs on the PC and no services running.... BUT this was still in the Registry.
Step 5 - Delete only the Registry entry above.  NO REBOOT
    Step 6 - Reinstall iTunes64.exe

  • LabVIEW 2009 SP1 Run-Time Engine (Minimum) (32-bit) for Windows - Supported Features

    Hi,
Can some one please point out what features are supported by the LV RTE (Minimum ) [LabVIEW 2009 SP1 Run-Time Engine (Minimum) (32-bit) for Windows]
    1) Is there a limit on the size of the exe which can be run on it?
    2) Will this support additional modules like DAQ etc.,? Or do we have to chose the regular installer ( 170 Mb ) for that purpose?
    3) If a list of what it does or does not support is available, it would be extremely helpful.
    Thanks In advance.
    Regards,
    Vijay

    Anand,
I did go through both the links that you had sent earlier before posting on the forum. For eaxample refer the following link where it says,
    http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/lang/en/id/1599
It does not contain the full run-time engine, but will allow some executables to run.
    1) What do they mean by 'some' executables. Is there a list of yay's and no's available?
    2) Can someone from NI reply to this and shed more knowledge?
    Regards,
    Vijay

As I know there is no Crystal Reports 2008 runtimes for 64 bit machines, there are only 32 bit runtimes for that product. So,I need to know when will be the 64 bit runtimes will be released or will be available.
Also, for the CR bundled with VS 2008 (10.5), there are 64 bit runtimes which you could find on your development machine under -
    ' C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bootstrapper\Packages\CrystalReports10_5\CRRedist2008_x64.msi '
When will be 64 bit runtimes for CR 08 will be available?
    Thanks

  • HT204406 itunes keeps crashing everytime I turn on itunes match...64 bit for windows

Itunes keeps crashing on my windows 7 64-bit computer every time I log in to iTunes match. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.  How do I clear my registry files or something else?

  • ITunes 9 64-bit for Windows, but not Snow Leopard?

So I installed iTunes 9 on my MBP running Snow Leopard, and when I go into Activity Monitor, under the CPU tab, in the "kind" column it clearly singles out iTunes as the ONLY app not running in 64-bit. Now doing a brief search the only discussion of a 64-bit app seems to be a Windows vers. No way would APPLE write a 64-bit vers for windows w/o writing one for their own OS, RIGHT!?!?! I installed iTunes using "Software Update" under the apple menu. I assume it would give me the best option (64 bit vs 32 bit) if there were in fact 2 versions available for Mac. I am confused, can someone clear this up?

Mark, it's not just you! I followed the instructions at http://yukichigai.googlepages.com/iphonex64 with several previous upgrades, which worked like a charm except for a near-bricking scare at the last firmware upgrade that I was able to fix with my husband's 32-bit system. last night, I got this exact error as well. I really don't want to have to move my library to our 32-bit machine and kick my hubby off every time I need to sync, but if there's no workaround, that may be what I have to do. I don't know if I'm angrier at apple for not making clear on the iphone box or documentation this issue with XP64 and not going to the bother of making itunes play nicely, microsoft for creating this version of XP. or the person who built my PC who extolled the virtues of XP64 in the first place. thank goodness I have another computer, or I'd REALLY be SOL.

  • ITunes (64-bit) for Windows 7

So my computer pretty much failed a week ago and I went to open iTunes and it said I can't. It told me i needed the 64-bit version. So i came to the website and hit the button that said 64-bit version for Windows 7. The new window opens, but it doesn't load. It just says connecting. Any help please?

  • Where do I download iTunes 32 bit for Windows XP?

    Hi there
The quick links on the iTunes download page for alternative versions are not available anymore. The website auto detects my OS, which is 64 bit, but I need to download the 32 bit version for another computer (which is not connected to the internet) running Windows XP 32 bit.
I've searched the internet, these forums and tried the support features on this site, but to no avail.
    Thanks

Apple stopped supporting Safari for Windows several years ago.

  • Installed iTunes 11.0.4.4 64-bit but window 8 pro 64-bit in task manager reports that iTunes is 32-bit.  Why?  Not running in compatibility mode.  Uninstalled and reinstalled.  Same result.

Installed iTunes 11.0.4.4 64-bit version.  Now windows 8 pro 64-bit reports iTunes as 32-bit in task manager.  Why?  Both my computer and operating system are 64-bit.  ITunes is not running in compatibility mode.  All my music files are MP3.  I uninstalled iTunes and downloaded iTunes64setup.exe from apple and still having the same result.  This was a clean install by-the-way.

  • Can i dump the new 64 bit and get 32 bit for windows 7?

the newest version of itunes does not work on my windows 7.  I've uploaded the 64 bit windows fix, dumped and replaced this version of itunees.......3 hours later it opens and closes in about 1 minute.
all my tv and movie purchases  are worthless!!!!!!

If you have 64-bit Windows you should use the 64-bit installer. What error messages do you get?
Try TS1717: iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues for starters.
Otherwise see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
