ITunes 11.0.1.12 no "None" for credit payment
Hi
I recently created an Apple ID but now when I try to sign in to download an app it asks me to review my account. I went to the step "Reviewing Payment Information" but there was no "None" option as I did not want to enter my credit details.
I searched for this problem on the Internet and found sites that showed iTunes with the "None" option next to the other credit card options but in my iTunes (version 11.0.1.12 which is the latest) their was defintely no "None" option.
The same thing happened when I wanted to download an app on my iPhone 4S. Help would be much appreciated.
Unfortunately, no. Almost three weeks into using 11, this remains the biggest (but not only) annoyance for me. Knuckleheads!!!

"None" is an option in most countries' iTunes Store if not all. I doubt anyone here can provide a definitive list since we're all just fellow users and don't have access to nor time to try every iTunes Store available.
Are you encountering a problem? Can you ask a specific question? That will be a better approach toward finding a solution then asking blanket questions.

You need to follow the instructions on this page when creating a new account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534 - otherwise you won't get the 'none' option and you will need to enter credit card details before you will be able to use the account in the store

i have a half-filled form for my apple id account & in it there is no option as NONE for credit card payment method. Now when i try to create a new account it asks me for a different email/apple id as my actual id already exists???
If you want to use the email address that you used on the first account then you will need to remove it from that first account before you can do so e.g. via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's or via http://appleid.apple.com - you can create a new email address via http://gmail.com or http://hotmail.com to replace it with.

You can create an iTune and App Store account without credit card details
1. Sign out of current Apple ID if you are sign-in to one (important)
2. Go to App Store and select a free app
3. Tap INSTALL APP
4. Create New Apple ID
5. Confirm Your Country
6. Agree with Terms and Conditions
7. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (you must create a new Apple ID; don't use your old Apple ID)
8. Create and answer your secret question
9. Select NONE for Payment Method
10. Fill in Billing Address
11. Submit application for new Apple ID
12. Wait for verification email
13. When email arrive, verify your account
14. Start downloading your free apps -

My laptop is up and the Internet is fine. I can search in the iTunes store all I want. I cannot update any purchase nor make new ones because the CC on my account is not good. I bought an I tunes gift card so I had a balance available. But everytime I try to take off that bad CC it says "Try again later." It's been 3 days! I need to update my apps. I'd make a new apple ID but I don't want to lose my gc $$ nor all my purchases. When will the store "be ready??"
The iTunes Store has no phone support and never has. Contacting them has always been via web form. Go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

i cant remove a credit card from my account and now can't download anything since apple forgot to put a NONe option in the payment screen. what do i do about this?
<Edited by Host>Log into your account and manage the payment methods, this is done via iTunes on a computer.
Debit cards are not acceptable forms of payment. -
How do I get free apps without a credit card?
You have to enter your credit card number and some amount would be debited from your account(60 rs in india)
After registration, You can Go to
1 Settings
2.Itunes&App Store
3.Click on your apple id .
4.Select View Apple ID
5.Slecet Payment Info
And You can find NONE here.
Please select NONE to delete your credit card numbe r from the list
But While registering you cant find NONE, you have to enter the cc number.

HT2534 When I try to download a free app I do not get the option of "none" for credit cards
I am setting a new Iphone 5c (company issued) I am going the setup and trying to download a free company app. All the instructions I have say to select "none" in the credit card section of the billing info. However, "none" is not showing up as an option on the phone.
Follow the instructions in the article exactly as the process is very specific. Also, you can only do this when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing one. If you need to use an existing Apple ID, you'll need to enter in some sort of payment method at least temporarily.

Hi, I'm setting up an account for my brother, but apparently we need a credit card. Neither of us own one and the system won't let us continue without one. Now I know that there's supposed to be a none selection, but it won't appear on ours. How can we continue if we don't have a credit card or the none selection button??? Help us please!!!!
When I created a new account on my computer's iTunes yesterday, I first logged out of my existing account. I then found a free app in the store, clicked on it's free 'price' to 'buy' it, clicked on 'create Apple id' and filled in details about the new account and which gave me the option of 'none' for the payment details - clicking on the 'verify' email that I received then allowed me to download a free app.
That is the process that you are using when you tried to create both new accounts ? The instructions won't work on existing accounts (even if the account has only been partially created), and you are in the country that you are trying to create the account for ? -
My friend came to my house a while ago and signed into his account and authorized his iPod with my computer. That went fine but when I went to sign back in it says my account has not been used with iTunes. Then it goes to ask me for a credit card. I have some gift card money on my account and I want to use it. Thanks for the help.
This same thing happend to me, you have to chose your birthday as if your under 18 or 16, because if you dont own a credit card, you shouldnt be over this age, so basictly when you chose your birthday, do it under 16 years of age (or your REAL birthday) and you should have an option of clicking "none" for credit card options, but if you want to buy something, you will have to do the credit card stuff, OR you can just buy an apple gift card at basictly any store, So this is how i fixed my problum, i hope it works for you, write back your responce of how it worked out please!

How did you create the account ? If you followed the instructions on this page when creating it then you should have got the 'none' option : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
e.g. on a computer's iTunes, if currently signed into an account then you logged out of it, and you then found a free app in the store and clicked on its free 'price' :

When I tried that process to create an account a few days ago I got the 'none' option on the payment details screen.
If you didn't use that process then you will need to create a new account using it (the instructions won't work with an existing account).
