ITunes 11.0.2 suddenly started freezing (more than usual) and ipod no longer recognized.

It runs in safe mode, but will still not recognize the ipod.

First I would try this
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
Next remove the Apple software using the instruction above and install a previous version. You can Google to find the previous versions

In Windows 7 Professional, Firefox suddenly started using more than one symbol on the taskbar... Why?

After installing Firefox it placed a symbol in the taskbar from which to launch it. When moving the mouse above this symbol it would then also display the various tabs that were open in the browser. So, the program was launched from and operating inside this ONE Firefox symbol on the taskbar... there was never (at any given point), more than one symbol.
Now suddenly it started opening a second Firefox symbol in the taskbar in which the browser actually runs and displays the open tabs. Is the first icon "pinned" to the Windows 7 Task Bar in an earlier version? Could you try unpinning and repinning Firefox and see whether that helps?

My iphone 4s has suddenly started to become exceptionally hot and is no longer charging from a plug or computer, help!!!

Please help!!! My iphone 4s worked perfectly until 2 hours ago I had it charging off of my car lighter (as I do every day on my way home from work). This evening it got so hot the temperature guauge stopped it from working and I lost 50% battery life in 5 mins. Since then I have been unable to use the phone or to charge it, have tried connecting to my laptop, to a wall connector and through my recharging unit. Everything was fine until that point. Please help everything is on my phone especially my work contacts. I have put all updates on without any issues. The phone was new April 2013.

Sounds like a bad battery. You'll need to bring the phone into Apple for evaluation.
I'm sure you've been using your phone as designed and properly backing up your data, so you should have minimal, if any data loss should the phone need to be replaced.

Portege A100 has suddenly started freezing

My Portege A100 has suddenly started freezing for no good reason.
It also has trouble powering on sometimes in that the blue light comes on the harddrive spins up but not a lot happens and the screen remains blank.
Other times it will get into windows and allow me to use it then all of a sudden stop responding completely.
It does this in safe mode as well ad from a cold boot.
The odd thing is that it seems to be triggered physically sometimes but I couldn't swear to this and it may just be a coincidence.
any ideas?

You description sounds very strange because the issue what you have described happens sometimes. Possibly its only a software malfunction???
How long does the OS runs on the notebook???
What do you think about the reinstallation by using the Recovery CD?
Such reinstallation and fresh OS could sometimes solve the frizzing issues.
But if the notebook will not power up so you should test other suggestion.
You should remove power pack and ac adaptor from the notebook. Then wait several time (10-15min). Put the power pack into the notebook and connect the AC adaptor.
Then start the notebook.

I can tell you that this is some of the absolutely worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I found out from a store employee that when they are really busy with calls, they have third party companies taking overflow calls. One of those companies is Xerox. What can a Xerox call center rep possibly be able to authorize on a Verizon account? I'm Sure there is a ton of misinformation out there due to this. They don't note the accounts properly or so everyone can see them. I have been transferred before and have asked if they work for Verizon or a third party also and was refused an answer so, apparently they aren't required to disclose that information. I spent a long time in the store on my last visit and it's not just customers that get the runaround. It happens to the store employees as well and it's beyond frustrating.

iTunes won't allow me to add more than 3 songs at one time into my library. I just want to select a number of songs in 'My Music' folder on my pc and then add them in one go. I used to be able to on older versions of iTunes, but now it will only let me add 3 songs (using the 'add file to library' option), and no more then one (using the 'import' option). It's just very annoying as it takes aaages to add songs into my library, when it shouldn't. if anyone knows how to overcome this, please let me know! Thanks

Iwork numbers 09 - Freezing more than five columns

I have previously been using excel for mac - I now have numbers and have successfully frozen headers. I also want to freeze columns to correspond with my excel spreadsheets. It looks as if I can only freeze five columns but I do not want to swap columns about as I send this over to my accountant and he wants the same format. Can I freeze more than five columns?

More bad news:
You will find that using header columns will make Numbers come to a crawl. In fact, I've found that I have to minimize the use of both header columns and header rows, although less so with head rows.

Audiobooks go in Music, not ibooks. Is the book you are talking about not an audiobook but an .epub or some other format where you read text?

Nothing is going to stop you from dragging it in multiple times, but what exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to get iTunes to look through the folder and pick up newly added song files?

You may have to suffer until you can get to your local artist's products store. There you should be able to buy square metres of fine matt black felt (maybe in a shop selling materials too). This makes an excellent and inexpensive base that looks good too. Have used it for years.
Lay it on your desk and hold it in position with some double sided sticky tape.
