ITunes 11.1.4 and 11.1.5 error with XP

I have 3 ea XP 32-bit machines not behaving OK with iTunes 11.1.4 and/or 11.1.5.
All are Windows XP Pro DK SP3 32-bit - 1 is a PC and 2 are Macs with Bootcamp running XP.
iTunes 11.1.3 runs fine on all 3. No problems whatsoever.
11.1.4 and 11.1.5 both generates an AppleMobileDeviceHelper.exe Error at launch and both freeze when hitting Edit, Settings.
I have tried every trick in the book - but to no avail. I end up cleaning out and re-installing 11.1.3 every time.
(I uninstall iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour & Apple Application Support every time - and I remove the corresponding Folders. Except for \Bonjour which refuses to be deleted).
What to do ?????
tomcat777

I didn't look through that document, however, as mentioned before, I had enabled everything, restarted everything and still nothing.
I did manage to fix my problem though.
What seemed to fix it was just hooking up my iPad Mini to my Mac Mini, transfering a few songs and then voila, after I unplugged my iPad Mini from my Mac Mini, wireless syncing between the two started working again.
All that it appeared to need was an established, physical connnection between iOS and OSX (by transferring some songs to the iPad Mini whilst physically connected by cord to the Mac Mini) to reset whatever screwy programming was stopping it from being able to sync via wifi.
Thanks for your response, have a good day.

I  rented a movie through itunes on my ipad and wanted to watch it with friends on a digital projector, but it wouldn't allow me to do it.  Is there any way around this?

The issue was that a dialogue box came up which said that I couldn't play this movie on another device.  I tried playing the same movie on an Tv with an HDMI connection attached to an adapter to the IPad and that worked.  I wonder if the problem is that the digital projector has a VGA connection.

I downloaded an album from iTunes on my iPad and then i synced it with iTunes it doesn't show the individual songs in my library just the album which opens another window.  One of the albums won't even play the music.  Will only open the "booklet" for the cd but not the music.  Can you help?

    Hello dannugget
Normally, if the songs showed that it is purchased then it is probably already in your library. If not check out the article below to walk you through downloading your past purchases. You may also want to check to see if you have Automatic Downloads turned on so that way next time you can get your tracks without having to plug in and sync.

What do I need to do to get iTunes to install?

    Try the following user tip:

  • Trying to install itunes on windows vista and get the following error message:

Trying to install itunes on windows vista and get the following error message: An error occurred during the installation of assembly "Microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32",publicKey Token="1fc8b3b9a1e3b",process orArchitecture="x86"". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070424.

A broken Windows Modules Installer then. It's a bit of an involved fix getting past it, but we've had success here with it in the past.
First, I'd strongly suggest setting up a system restore point.
Now try the Scenario III treatment from the following document:
Windows Update Error 80070424 in Vista
Head back into Windows Update and attempt to get updates again. If they still fail, this time with an 8000FFFF error code, try the following Microsoft document:
    Windows Update error 8000FFFF
If you get Windows Updates flowing again, stock up on any you're behind on (restarting the PC when requested to do so). This may take some time and may have to be done in several batches, depending on how far you've fallen behind. Basically, keep going back to Windows Update until it stops offering you new updates.
After the updates have been installed, restart the PC one more time (in order to ensure that any pending installs requiring a restart have been resolved).
Now try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the 0x80070424 this time?

    Hi Michael,
I'm glad iTunes is working now!  If you want to locate iTunes plug-ins on your computer, you can find them in the following locations (you may not have the iTunes Plug-ins folder if you do not have plug-ins):
    Mac:
    /Users/username/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/
    /Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/
One thing I also wanted to mention is that the "Users/username/Library" is hidden in Lion and Mountain Lion.  You can access it using these steps:
OS X Mountain Lion: What is the Library folder?
The Library folder contains files used by OS X and your apps, including your personal fonts and preferences. The Library folder is hidden. If you need to open it, make sure you are in the Finder, hold down the Option key, and then choose Go > Library.
You can find the full article here:

    All the best,

  • I just downloaded Itunes 11.1.4 (64-bit) and am running Windows 7, Itunes will not open and I get an error message about Microsoft runtime and I get an error R6034 and 1114 which says Itunes was installed incorrectly. Can anyone help?

I just downloaded Itunes 11.1.4 (64-bit) update and am running Windows 7.  Itunes will not run after installing this update and I receive an error message R6034 on Loading Microsoft C Runtime Library incorrectly.  Also Error message 1114 the Itunes Installer was installed incorrectly.  Is there an new update for this problem? Is anyone else having this problem?  Please help.  Thanks.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

    Hi,
I'm trying to change email address on my Apple ID since the email registered for the account has been hacked and I can't access it anymore. The email I want to change to is connected to another Apple ID I created about 4 years ago, though I successfully changed the email on that account as well. So the email I would like to use for my main Apple ID shouldn't be "locked" anymore.
Though, when trying to change the email on my Apple ID I get an error message (in Swedish, so this is a direct translate from google): "This e-mail address is your email address for notification. It can not be used as the Apple ID or primary email. Choose a different address."
I'm not really sure what this means or how I can fix this.
It means exactly what it says... The email Address is in Use. You cannot re-use it.

  • Itunes will not start and keep getting send error report to MS message

I had a system crash and have re-built the sytem with XP Professional SP2 with all upto date patches. Symantec Norton Internet Security 2007.
Downloaded the latest Itunes and Quicktime update on Monday evening and now every time I click on the Itunes icon, i get unable to start application and do you want to send an error report to Microsoft.
I remember all the problems with the 6 to 7 upgrade and am hoping this is not a repeat.
    Any help appreciated.

The quote below is from a previous thread where several people solved your same problem with the stated technique. Maybe it will work for you. Good Luck.
iTunes 7.0.2 FIX.........Have tried all 'fixes' suggested but iTunes STILL not opening
    1. Uninstall iTunes and Quicktime.
    2. Do a search in the C:\ drive for "QuickTime". Delete EVERYTHING that pops up.
    3. Restart the computer.
    4. Install QUICKTIME ONLY
    5. THEN install iTunes......and IT WORKS.....Just remember to install Quicktime FIRST.

  • I am trying to install itunes 11.0.3 and keep getting an error.

I am using Windows 7 and have a 64 bit OS. When I try to update software I get a vague error stating
"Errors occured during installation before iTunes could be configured.Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation, run the installer again.Click finish to exit the installer."
I have tried to run it several times and have rebooted my PC. I am having the same issue with iCloud and Quicktime.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Is this the error your gettings?
If so, remove the installer, and redownload the itunes set-up installer
