If the above doesn’t do the trick entirely, then use the instructions in the following as it applies to the version of Windows you are using:
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process.

Upgraded Mac Mini to 10.6.4 now have sound problems
Just upgraded my mac mini to 10.6.4 and now have sound distortion. Itunes is extremely tinny sounding, fades in and out, distorted and muffled sounding continually. Sound worked fine since I purchased it back in november but now since the update it is distorted. I also notice that if I listen using iphone headphones the sound is just as distorted.
Any ideas how to resolve this? I tried reloading itunes, checked sound/speaker preferences, rebooted the system a couple times, unhooked speakers and reconnected them. I am totally frustrated with this.

also, did you use *software update* from the menu to install the upgrade ?
if so, download the combo updater from here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1048 and apply it.

Due to a misunderstanding with [email protected] in September of 2010, many of my applications and important files were put into the trash during a cleaning. The trash hadn't been deleted, so a CleanApp rep told me to drag my important files to a folder on my desktop. They were unable to help me with anymore advice with the exception that if I followed the pathway of the application, I could manually restore it to its proper location.
This was asking a lot of me because I didn't have the experience or knowledge of undertaking such a massive restoration. However, I did the best I could. What had been put in the trash was not just a few files -- there were hundreds of files or apps that I discovered in the trash. As I said, this was a misunderstanding. I was left feeling devastated at what had happened.
Since then, my iMac Intel Core Duo has been running on its last legs. I'm surprised I can even get to my email. As far as using the software that I bought with my iMac, I can't. I just do the basics.
What I have been wanting to do is to upgrade to the next level. However, I worry that if I upgrade a crippled OS X 10.4.11 Tiger, I would be creating more problems than what I already have. Do you agree that an upgrade would make matters worse?It won't necessarily make it worse, but may not make it better. I am not familiar with the utility you usedm though anything that cleans or maintains your Mac should be avoided unless you know what you are doing and what it does. Probably re-installing software from the official sources (download or CDs) is the best way to ensure missing parts are all replaced.
If this is a core duo and not a core 2 duo then the highest you can go is Snow Leopard 10.6 Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac", then "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present). -

I read instructions to copy over my iTunes library and link it through....edit/preferences/advanced by changing the location and this did not happen. All my songs did not get pulled into iTunes when I opened it back up again... it was empty. I tried to change it back and forth with no luck. I read more about it and moved the iTunes Media and other folders to new locations,,,still no luck. I even moved all the folders back to original location and could not establish the link from the advanced section. Any one know how to repair this issue and re-establish my library to iTunes again? If the "new PC" is not an Apple, then your Apple Apps will not be compatible with the PC. So you are NOT able to transfer them.

After I upgraded to FF 33.0, none of my previous website usernames or passwords were saved when I browsed them. None! I have looked at FAQ responses and carefully looked at my 'Privacy' settings and they are all set to have FF save user names and/or passwords. My cookie settings are 'remember browsing...history' - 'remember search...history' - 'Accept cookies...' 'Accept third-party cookies / Never - and 'Keep until I close FF'
Do I need to select 'Keep until: they expire' for cookies?
Tom F.hello tom, can you try to remove the remember passwords addon (this is now longer needed, since firefox is now ignoring the autocomplete=off parameter in password fields by default), restart the browser and see if this is making any difference?

After change ios to 7 I don't have itunes store ot my ipad. Coul anybody help with some idea, how to fix it?
sorry but it doesn't work. the problem is, that i can open itunes store icon, but nothing appearas. blank screen. the only change in when i swich between music and films. when choose films background bocomes dark.
just to mention that I reinstaled ios 7 once again, but also nothing happend.

I have not been able to get onto itunes to check my account or purchase anything for about a year now. Got an Alienware system with latest Windows. When I pull up itunes I can access my old music but cannot access my account to purchase anything new. Just reinstalled itunes and it still does not work. I am ready to just quit. Anyone else having this issue? Solutions?

I am having this difficulty now, too! When I select a voicemail to play, it looks like it will start, but quickly changes back to the "play" mode. I CAN pick up my voicemail by calling my own number, however!

It sounds as if your account has been compromised. I would recommend logging into those accounts from your computer and their websites and changing your password.

Some videos are not showing in my Apple TV playlists after upgrade to 6.0. They were there prior to upgrade and I can play on Macbook itunes and also using using airplay to Apple TV. Anybody else have this issue?

Is there a way to get them to display under their appropriate genre in the Movie section, which is where they all were listed prior to the os6 update? It does me no good to have hundreds of movies categorized in iTunes via a genre only to have them appear in Home Videos on ATV. These are not "home movies." They are legit mp4 movies that worked great under v5. -

sooooo.. is it the uninstaller or is iTunes64Setup.exe mispackaged or do both have memory problems on AMD 64 ?Unfortunately I was able to repeat the memory leak even with turning the Toolbar off. To replicate the problem, I was able to watch the memory leak each time I actively selected a new song with the iTunes open. I was able to repeat the leak with and without both Spotify and TuneUp Companion running and not running. The only thing I noticed is when both Spotify and iTunes were open, the memory leak from iTunes added insult to injure with Spotify which kept trying to sync up with iTunes local library which would crash Spotify as well. But I can confirm the memory leak is in iTunes 10.6.3.25 (looking forward to 10.6.4 fixing the problem).

I just upgraded my mac book to 10.6.8 and downloaded the new version of itunes. When I try to open it and error message appears saying, "The iTunes Library file cannot be found or created. The default location for this file is in the "iTunes" folder in the "Music" folder."
I have tried a few things but iTunes closes right after i click okay. Anyone know anything?Look in your Home > Music folder. There should be an iTunes folder there and it should have a number of files and folders including one called library.itl You want to guide iTunes to that file. If you don't see that file or folder then in your next post you will have to be very specific as to what you do see or how you have your iTunes set up because that's where it should be according to default settings.
