Itunes 11.1.5 can't tell is a song is downloading

Okay, I pretty much hate 11.1.5
A song indicated "downloading," but I can't find the download status bar??
It is also not showing all of my purchases (even though I have match).
Also, is there a better way to be able to search your library?

i don't understand this thread at all!
(though i hate itunes 11 too).
since the end of itunes 10.7, the download status window has been accessed via the arrow to the right of the search field, in the top right of your iTunes window. it doesn't appear if you are not downloading anything, but once a download starts, the arrow appears, and if you click it, it opens a new window where you can see the progress of the queue of items as they download.
I also don't understand the responses from Atanarjuat... if you go to the Window on my iTunes, and go Zoom, neither the status bar (which is the bar across the very bottom of the iTunes window) nor the Downloads progress window (that I described above) appear.
All that happens is the window zooms to fill the screen...
The search facility is annoyingly unApple, but it does work, - it's best if you click the magnifying glass and select Filter by All.   Oh, and when you type something in, DON'T hit return!
I know, its stupid.
But then lots of iTunes 11 is stupid.
Cover floor has gone, you can't open two playlists in separate windows, it no longer supports my old iPod 1, basically its a disaster for me, but i'm stuck with it. I could go back to 10.7 but then my iPhone 5 wont work... grrrr

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

  • How Can I Tell if a Song on My iPhone is in iTunes Match?

I can't tell if my songs are in iTunes Match or not as on my phone scrolling through the list there is no cloud icon but I do have iTunes Match turned on my computer and on my iphone.

Once a track has been processed in iTunes there will be no cloud icon next to the track as long as it is on your local HDD. This means it is "in the cloud." To see the status of the tracks switch to Song view and pull down View > View Options and select "iCloud Status" then close the small window.

  • Can anyone tell me where to find/download the talking tom cat message notification for iPhone4?

Can anyone tell me where to find/download the talking tom cat message notification for iPhone4?

I can't find any sort of "Talking Tom Cat" that provides message notifications, and without jailbreaking I can't see how it would be possible. The only Talking Tom Cat app I can find it a self-contained novelty app. If that's what you're referring to, just search the iTunes Store for "talking tom cat" and if the app is available in your country, you should find it. Be aware that while the app is free, the "gold coins" for all the accessories are definitely not free.

  • Can anybody tell me the link to download 10.1.0.5 patchset

I want to patch my DB with 10.1.0.5, So
Can anybody tell me the link to download 10.1.0.5 patchset ??
    thanking you

    [jdbc version 10.1.0.5(patchset) and ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsExceptio]
    Hello
We finnaly got the patchset, extracted the jdbc drivers version 10.1.0.5 and found out that the ArrayIndexOfBoundException problem is still present!
    java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -1
         at oracle.jdbc.driver.DateTimeCommonAccessor.computeJulianDay(DateTimeCommonAccessor.java:354)
         at oracle.jdbc.driver.DateTimeCommonAccessor.getMillis(DateTimeCommonAccessor.java:399)
         at oracle.jdbc.driver.DateAccessor.getTimestamp(DateAccessor.java:143)
         at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleResultSetImpl.getTimestamp(OracleResultSetImpl.java:724)
         at cybiz.db.GeneralDB.pesquisaPaginadaSimples(GeneralDB.java:854)
    driver files: ojdbc14dms.jar, ojdbc14.jar and orai18n.jar
driver version (all tested): 10.0.1.4, 10.0.1.5 (patchset version), 10.2.0.1
    database version: Oracle 9i 9.2.0.1.
The problem occurs at the the ResultSet.getTimestamp() method. Apparently, it happens after 10 rows. This exception is thrown for all database tables that contains date columns.
Does anybody have any thoughts on this? What is most troublesome is that this error doesn't occur with the jdbc drivers target at jdk1.2 (classes12.jar). Another thing is that tthis is not a SQLException. It is a runtime exception that occurs inside the jdbc driver.
    Right now we are stuck...
Thanks in advance for any help,
    Luis Fernando

  • HT4914 I had 1235 songs on my iPad 3 I subscribed to iTunes Match and it deleted all of my songs except for 79 that I had purchased from iTunes Store. How can I recover my lost songs???

I had 1235 songs on my iPad 3 I subscribed to iTunes Match and it deleted all of my songs except for 79 that I had purchased from iTunes Store. How can I recover my lost songs???

    Hi,
If the tracks were not in your iTunes library on your computer when you subscribed to match, I am afraid that they are lost. Do you have a separate back up of this music?
    Jim

  • How can I tell if my songs got replaced by Itune version?

I just subscribed to Itunes Match and it has finally uploading 2929 songs. How can I tell which of my songs got matched and I can get a higher quality version from Itunes? I want to replace those songs in my library.
    Thanks!

You must enable the "iCloud Status" column. Switch to Song view and pull down View > View Options. Select the option for iCloud Status then close the little window. You will now be able to see the staus of each song. To download matched tracks, delete the original track from the library but do NOT hide the track in the cloud. Then click the download button.

  • How Can You Tell if a Song You WANT to Purchase can be a Ringtone?

Sorry, I would have posted this in the iTunes folder, but it's not allowing me to post there for some reason.
Anyways, does anyone know how you can tell if a song you WANT to purchase is available as a ringtone? I know that if you already have purchased songs then your library will have a ringtone column which let's you know if the song is available as a ringtone. What I specifically want to know is if there is any way to find out if a song you WANT to purchase is availble as ringtone BEFORE you purchase it. I have all appropriate ringtone boxes checked off in preferences and "view preferences." However, when I go to the iTunes store, none of the songs in the store have any information on whether or not they are available as ringtones. I don't want to buy a song, especially if I'm just getting it for ringtone purposes, and then find out that it's not available as a ringtone.
And yes, I have the latest version of iTunes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. With the purchase of my iPhone I am a first time user of iTunes (I used to use only Rhapsody and Napster). So far iTunes has been a challenge to use. I'm trying to get used to it, but it's difficult. And it seems like basic information, such as if a song is available as a ringtone before purchase, is not easily forthcoming.
Anyways, thanks to all if you have any suggestions.

Okay, I don't know why, but the bell was not showing on the iTunes store. I re-checked "ringtones" on the view preferences and reloaded iTunes and now the bell column is there. Thanks to the both of you.
BTW, there aren't very many songs available for rintones are there? I really miss Cingular's media.net. There's no reason why we shouldn't be able to access that. Media.net has way more options for ringtones then iTunes.

  • I had to reinstall iTunes, and now I can't transfer all my songs!!!!

Hello everyone, this is my first and hopefully only post, assuming that I have no more problems with my iTunes/iPod.
Ok, I recently had to have a new hard drive installed in my computer, and I got it back today. I had to reinstall iTunes, and after doing so I tried to transfer all the songs from my iPod to my new iTunes. All of the songs that I purchased from iTunes transferred without a hitch. I have many songs that I've copied from my CD collection on my iPod, however, and none of these will transfer to my computer now. Can someone please tell me how I can get these songs from my iPod to iTunes without going back and recopying every single CD I own?? Thanks in advance!!

The transfer of content sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide

  • How can I tell if a song is store on my phone or in the cloud? (iOS7, iPhone 5s)

Since updating to 7.0.2 i am unable to tell if a song is stored on my phone or on itunes match. I have my phone set to display all music and to download over data. Previously songs that were stored in the cloud would display a cloud icon next to the song name. However, since the update all music appears the same with no dicernable way to tell where it is stored.

Disable iTunes Match on the device, open the Music app and let the content clear out. Then go to Settings > General > Usage and tap Music (you may need to scroll down in the list). Swipe across "all music" and tap DELETE. For good measure do a hard reset on the device by holding down the Power+Home buttons until you see the Apple logo then re-enable iTM. This ought to clear it up.

  • Why can't I move songs from my old iPod to my new iTunes acct and why can't i move new songs from my new iTunes acct to my old iPod?? Help please!

I forgot my user name and password to my old iTunes account.  Apple was unable to assist me in recovering the old account so I opened a new iTunes account.  I connected my old iPod to my new iTunes account but cannot move music from the iPod to the new iTunes account, and vice versa... if anyone can help me - I would really appreciate it!  Thank you!

Was all of the music that is on your older iPod purchased with that older content or is some of it also other content imported originally from outside of iTunes?  You won't be able to purchased content from the older account to your new iTunes library unless you can remember/regain access to that older account.
For other content, you can transfer it using one of the many suggestions mentioned in this older post by another forum member Zevoneer.
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2452022?start=0&tstart=0
As to not being able to sync any new content to your iPod, it's likely because you are trying to sync the iPod with a new/different iTunes library.  iPods were designed to sync with only one computer/iTunes library at a time. So your iPod does not recognize this new library as the one it was originally set up with.  In order to associate the iPod with the new library, you need to restore it to factory settings in iTunes by clicking the Restore button from under the iPod's Summary tab.
Of course you won't want to do this until you have successfully moved all the older content off it into your new library.

  • Were can i find the free songs to download

ive heard you can download free songs where are they

    babylou90 wrote:
I could of sworn i saw it on apple.
You may have done, the iTunes Store usually does have a free song on offer, but it will be an unknown artist that someone is trying to promote, not top selling songs from major artists. Is that what you were after? If so, look on the iTunes Store front page. There are also free songs available under a scheme called Creative Commons Licence, which is usually specialist material. Once again, not top selling stuff.
Usually, those who download such free music are downloading things they already know about - in other words, they know about that particular piece of music and then they find it's available under a *CC Licence.* If you simply wish to find free music, you'll probably be disappointed with what you do find.
Anything else is probably being downloaded illegally - and we cannot talk about it on this forum, it's against the rules.

  • HT1420 I can't find the "authorized this computer" on the iTunes store menu.  Can anyone tell me where to look for it?  It doesn't seem to be in the topics across the top of the home  page.  Thanks.

I am trying to authorize a computer. But I can't locate the"authorized this computer" on the iTunes store menu.  I can't find it under any topics across the menu bar at the top of the page.  Can anyone help me find  it? Thanks.

It should be on the Store drop-down menu at the top of iTunes (if you are using iTunes 11 on a PC then try pressing Alt-S and see if it appears) e.g. (screenshot is from iTunes on a Mac)

  • HT1711 How can you tell if a song has DRM?

I recently purchased a Sonos speaker system for my home.  I have noticed that I cannot play certain songs from my iTunes on my Sonos system because they were purchased through iTunes pre-iTunes Plus (the songs are DRM).  Is there some kind of filter when browsing through my library to highlight songs that include DRM?

All my iTunes purchases in recent years indicate "Kind: Purchased AAC Audio File". I have not seen "Protected" for a long time.
All iTunes Store music has been DRM-free for quite a while:
