ITunes 11.1 for ipad

Where is upgrade apple 11.1 for ipad, looked everywhere

That is of you can ge the download to work.  It took me a full day and multiple tries.  Now I Tunes doesn't recognize my I Pad, which is what I was trying to do in the first place.
Great example of how an update is a set back that required 24 hours of work to fix.

  • Apple Unveils All-New iTunes U App for iPad, iPhone & iPod touch

    A colleague just told me about this announcement from Apple -
    Apple Unveils All-New iTunes U App for iPad, iPhone & iPod touch -
    http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2012/01/19Apple-Unveils-All-New-iTunes-U-App-for -iPad-iPhone-iPod-touch.html
    Do any fellow iTunes U administrators know anything about this? How is existing content presented in the new app? Would we need to change anything? How do we access / make available the new features?
    The new features sound fantastic but it would have been nice to have some warning. I appreciate that Apple has to keep specific details about developments confidential but it's slightly disconcerting that iTunes U administrators were not forewarned about this new development and that there has been no mention of it on this forum. Also - and at the risk of sounding like a broken record - it really would be helpful for iTunes U administrators to have a private forum (perhaps an add-on to Public Site Manager) where we could discuss issues and share ideas and best practice etc.

    Greetings Tom;
    I watched the Apple's Keynote presentation and I'm amazed!  I'm really excited about the possibilities this opens up for educators.  I, like you am still processing all of the information and sorting out the possibilities.
    Did you get the email about the Webcast on Wednesday the 25th at 10:00 AM PT that's going to cover the new iTunes U Corse Manager and how to publish through iTunes U Site Manager?  Hopefully this is available to you in the UK.  We'll keep in touch.  All the best...

    The Mac App Store has apps for Mac computers. The iTunes Store does not. You must be running 10.6.8 or later to access the App Store. The App Store is on your computer in the Applications folder and on the Dock.

  • How to Cancel 'iTunes' purchased magazine for iPad

    how do I cancel a magizine subscription I purchased via iTunes for my iPad.  I have been looking and looking to find links but can't.  Now I just got hit with an automatic renewl fee.  Please help me figure this out.  Thanks in advance.

    Ok, just realized that I had changed my apple ID since original purchase. so I did log into app store via my old apple id and I did find the 'manage' page to stop auto-renewal, but nothing about deleting subscription/magazine.  I also deleted association to my credit card.  so if the worse is a 9.99 fee for this, and it can't auto-renew, then good.   Still would like to get a refund, and I did send email to apple support.  shall lsee how that ends up.  still would like to outright cancel/ delete the entire magazine but cant' find that option.  I thank you for your assistance.

  • How to reset iTunes backup configuration for iPad and iPhone?

    After buying a new Mac, I migrated my settings (because there were w a lot of apps) and generally everything's working. Except when I try to sync my iPad or iPhone, I get the following error:
    iTunes could not backup the (device) ... because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPad
    A few notes
    It does work with a new account, just not this one, so there's some setting somewhere that probably needs to go
    I did repair disk permissions
    I tried to reset preferences via mv *iTunes* to a backup folder in <user>/Library/Preferences
    There are no backups on this machine (if you go to iTunes / Settings / Devices the "device backups" list is empty)
    It still feels like something is pointing somewhere invalid, but I have no idea how to reset it.

    The problem turned out to be a symlink to a folder that pointed nowhere where the backups were stored.
    I seriously doubt many people are going to run into this issue, but hey, there you go, another thing to watch out for are symlinks if you transfer your settings to a new machine.
    The reason before was that I was clearing out space on a SSD, and backups took up enough room.

  • How do i find a file that was saved to itunes from turbotax for ipad?

    i used the turbotax 2011 app do to my taxes last year.  the returns were saved to itunes.  i cannot find them in itunes.  any suggestions?

    It is wierd that Apple wants you to use iTunes for everything regarding content on our iDevices but then they add a Video App to the iPhone, iPad and we are just supposed to understand after years of training to use iTunes that our purchased videos are here and not in iTunes.
    I initially assumed that the Video App was for watching videos I shot using my camera app.  But noooo!!, They are in the Camera Roll.

  • ITune Movie Rentals for iPad

    I rented 5 movies from iTunes to watch on the plane flight from the US to France tomorrow evening. One movie downloaded completely while we were at Starbucks yesterday, the other 4 have not even begun to do anything since then, even though I do have WiFi at home. I am not subscribed to 3G at this time.
    When do the other 4 movies download? We would like to have the all movies available when we take off tomorrow.

    Go into the Downloads section of iTunes on your iPad. Is there anything there? Did you receive an email that states you actually paid for the movies?
    If this doesn't work, then you should go into your iTunes account (just click on your account name in the upper right hand corner of iTunes) on your computer, and see if you've purchased them. If you have, there should be a button to download them.
    Then sync your iPad. This will be much better and faster than using your iPad.

  • ITunes Store app for iPad is blank

    The problem is only on the ipad and not the ipod.  The iTunes Store app has a blank grey or black screen depending upon the selection (music, movies, tv shows, etc)

    Yes I think you have the solution MelissaA1974.
    Here are the steps that I took (thanks to the technical support folks at the Genius Bar at the Rideau Apple store):  Key was re-setting settings(the rest was to force the recognition of the change - the first time reset settings was tried it did not work) so your suggestions on Safari may be right on for future problems of this nature.
    1. Under Settings / General / Reset select Reset All Settings
    2. Under iTunes & App Store sign out of your ID
    3. Under Wi-Fi disconnect
    4. Reconnect W-Fi
    5. Sign back in to iTunes
    My current Safari privacy and secuirty setting is to block cookies from third parties and advertisers.  I had previously selected Always.  It had not been the problem in the past but with updates, etc.  just might have been the prroblme.

  • Can I transfer a iTunes library file for iPad apps to a new computer for syncing?

    I would like to sync my wife's iPad to our new iMac. can we just move the appropriate iPad app files to the new computer?

    You can transfer the apps while connected to the Mac and iTunes running by going from the iTunes menu at the top of the screen File>Transfer Purchases. This will put all of the apps into the iTunes library on the new computer.
    This article will show you have to transfer the music from one computer to another one.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
    You can also backup your entire iTunes library and restore it to the new computer which is the ideal way to do this. It is covered in the article above.
    There are third party apps that allow you to transfer all of your iPad content to a new computer and itunes library as well.

  • I want to transfer a movie I have downloaded from itunes to my new IPAD. I have been on the itunes help menu, it tells me to look under 'devices' tab for IPAD. BUT there is no 'devices' tab and it does not list my new IPAD. Help!

    I want to transfer a movie I have bought in itunes to my new IPAD. I have been trying to work how to do this for 3 days now. I have accessed all the itunes help and forums and wiki online. They all tell me to go to the DEVICES tab on itunes and select IPAD then sync. YUP seem simple, BUT there is not DEVICES tab listed on my itunes and it does not list IPAD. Years ago I set up my IPOD no problem and that is listed, but not the new IPAD. Can anyone help? I would love to be able to actually watch films on my IPAD!! thanks

    If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
    If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.
    Has your iPad been synced to the computer before ? If not then you might find this page for syncing to a new computer useful : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141

    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom
