Itunes 11.4 downloaded and restarted...still says i need to update?

hi everyone
I have been trying for what feels like forever to update my itunes, it tells me the update to 11.4 is available and to download software, so i download it then i click to install it (and restart)
computer restarts, i check itunes again and it still says it needs to be updated????
what on earthe is going on?
can anyone help me please?

I have manuelly clicked on update firefox several times and have downloaded it. i restart firefox and it still says i need to update to have a safe firefox

The 1G iPod can only go as high as 3.1.3. The 1G does not have an internal speaker or volume buttons on the upper left edge.

I had the same problem. My phone wasn't finding it so I tried plugging it into my laptop and it said I needed the latest iTunes which I already had.... I unplugged my phone from my laptop and did a soft reset to my phone (hold down the lock button and home button at the same time until your phone turns off) once it turns back on you should find the update... Click general... Software update. Worked for me!

I and using a Mac OS X version 10.5.8 and I recently updated Safari to version 5 and ever since my Flash Player hasn't been working. When I try to watch videos, it says I need to download Flash Player, so I go through the whole download process and when I try to watch a video, it still says I need to download Flash Player. When I troubleshoot my flash player it says "content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player" but I have the newest version. My Flash PLayer worked fine until I updated Safari, why is this happening?

Hi, It would be nice if the websites would use the word "Install" instead of download; big difference:-) Flash Player works in the browser, so the websites are looking for the Flash Player control, which is the Shockwave Flash which should be in your Safari browser. If you have Quicktime and know where the plugins are located, look for it there. It must be there and Enabled.
If not, then my guess is that the update to the newer version of Safari either caused a glitch or disabled it.
Using Safari, go here to test, then let me know if you can see the animation of the Flash logo(spins) and what version of Flash Player is displayed. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

After update iTunes still says I need to update

when I try to access iTunes it tells me I need to update my device. It gives me step by step. It then says it is up to date. But i still can't access itunes. It gives me the same message "Need tp update device". Don't know what else to do other than follow the directions. I have even rebooted my iPhone. No luck. Any suggestions?

When I click on "New music" from itunes in my email Safari opens and says
" You neede to update your device's software to access the itunes store."
It continues with these directions that I have followed.
"Simply sync your device to your computer and click " Check for update" and then click this itunes store link again from your device when syncing is complete."

After downloading adobe flash player, twice, still says i need to update it

I am trying to put a swf file on my website. It says that the flash player need to be updated. i updated it twice in firefox but it still says it needs to be updated. what am i doing wrong.

Hello. I have almost the same problem it seems.
I have reinstalled Adobe Flash Player (latest), used the Uninstaller from the website. It installs correctly.
Even tho it doesnt seem right when i check my programs installed.
Because before i had 2 Adobe Flash Player (i use CCleaner for this), I got the Adobe Flash Player Plugin 64-bit
and another at name Adobe Flash Player 11 something. And before i did the same thing as i did now.
But it should probably be only the Plugin one.
Anyways. When i try to watch Youtube videos, it won't use Flash Player at all. And Firefox says
i have Flash Player, and its up to date and everything. But Youtube wont use it. Some do odd enough.
Vimeo use it tho.
And now i came across this thread, and i tried that Profile thing you told. And it does work with a new profile.
With the same Youtube video (copy link from old Profile). So i guess it's the profile that's broken.

While Processing, Itunes deleted my download and restarted it!

I just sat here in this internet cafe in Thailand, 3 bhat per minute, for two hours downloading the new Office. I watched it go down to the last second, then while, 'processing file,' it just started over again as if it had been doing nothing for the last two hours. Now it's going all over again. Itunes Store should reallly give me a $20 credit for this time paid on the internet, not to mention time wasted.

Thailand isn't one of the supported countries for the iTunes Store, so they really don't support downloads going there. It might be some local firewall or other security system screwing up your download and forcing it to restart.

I am trying to update to 5.0 and the installer keeps saying that I need to close Firefox to continue, but I have closed it and it still says I need to close it.

I then tried to uninstall Mozilla 4.0 and it keeps saying the same thing that I need to close firefox before I can continue, but it is closed. I have no browsers open and it still will not allow the uninstall or the install.

No iPod touch is capable of running both iOS 4.2 and 7.1.2, and you appear to have a second generation iPod touch, which can't be updated past 4.2.1.
