Itunes 11.4 keeps on saying preparing for Syn

This is what I get. I have reboot PC (windows 7 64bit version). It was work a few days ago and not it keeps hanging and unable to sync. Please help

Somehow it says Preparing to synch for like 6 hours. I have to Ctrl Alt Delete in order to quit it and restart and it goes back doing the same thing again since 10am this morning. I even restore the iPad and removed and reinstall itunes several times.

Please Help, TM just keeps saying "preparing for hours on end

Can someone enlighten me, my TM just keeps preparing for hours on end. It backed up about 80% of the files then it gave error, so I restarted the backup process, it gets almost done with the back up then it goes back to preparing and repeats that cycle continuously. I rebooted TM, unchecked "put the hard disks to sleep when possible" and every other recommendation I've gotten and it simply just doesn't backup. I deleted some files trying to clean up my computer the other day and so maybe I moved a file that wasn't supposed to be moved??
I do music studio work and backups are CRUCIAL to my job. Thanks in advance

What error? You need to know why it failed. Click here to download the +Time Machine Buddy+ widget. It shows the messages from your logs for one TM backup run at a time, in a small window.
Navigate to the backup in question, then copy and post all the messages for that run here, or see #C2 in the Time Machine - Troubleshooting *User Tip,* also at the top of the +Time Machine+ forum.

Files on your Mac, or on your Time Capsule? If your Time Capsule, were they inside the sparse bundle (containing your backups)?

Hey guys, I'm trying to update my itunes but it keeps on saying error, and when i try go onto itunes it keeps saying connection restarted!!

A few things to try.
Download iTues from here http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
and save it on your PC, it's generally best to do this if you are having problems.
Try using a different browser for the download.
If you are using a wifi connection, try a wired connection if you can.
This problem has been associated with router problems also accessing the internet via a wireless dongle.
Try restarting your router.
But in the end if none of this helps the simplest thing is to get a friend to download iTunes for you and put it on a memory stick. Preferable checking that it works first.

Are you trying to downgrade your iOS build? That is not possible.

itunes won't open - it says "token for this user about to expire. Please authenticate yourself again". Then when I try to do so, it closes.

Pre-Order but still "Prepared for Shipment"?

I noticed a lot of people getting their shipments early.
I ordered mine around 7pm on 6/15. I barely made the cutoff for the 6/24 shipment. My order still says, "Prepared for Shipment" with delivery on 6/24.
Anyone else in the same boat? I hope they ship it soon...doesn't it come from like China? If they don't ship it soon, what are the chances it will actually come on the 24th?

I ordered mine at 7:30 in Utah and received an email this morning saying I would get mine tomorrow. According to the Fedex site, it is in the sort center in my state. I am so excited. Have faith and hope that everything will work out fine. As the song goes, "Every little thing's gonna be alright.".

MY POSSIBLE FIX for Time Machine preparing for ages every hour

Like many others, i have had problems with Time Machines backups - ever since upgrading to 10.5.2. Every hour it would say 'preparing' for ages, and then, when it did finally backup, the data transfer was incredibly slow. Not to mention the amount of cpu usage it was using during the preparing status!
I have no idea if this is a FIX, or if i was just lucky, but Time Machine now works as it should, i.e. it backs-up seamlessly.
Anyway, this is what i did: booted from my Tiger disc (yes, even though i have Leopard) and went into its 'disc utility', from there i selected 'repair permissions'. Once the Tiger disc had completed repairing the permissions, i quit out of it and restarted my MacBook normally, i.e. not from the Tiger disc. When it had finished restarting, i went to disc utility and selected 'repair permissions'.
Ever since, TM has been just perfect. Coincidence? - i honestly do not know.
By the way, i don't know if repairing the permissions from within Leopard did anything or not, but this is the sequence i used. Plus also, it might be good to note that i had repaired permissions many a time, but with no success in fixing TM, but once doing it from the Tiger disc it fixed TM.
I hope it helps someone, because i know just how annoying it was when TM was not working correctly!

IPhone 4S preparing for shipment...

I pre-ordered my 32GB white iPhone 4S at about 6am NY time on friday october 7. Since sunday night i checked the status of it and it said preparing for shipment. Now that same day at about 7pm I ordered my brothers iPhone 4S which is basically the same model as the one that I orederd. His shiped monday morning and mine still hasnt shipped. I just checked again the status of it and it still saying preparing for shipment and that it delivers october 14th. Should I call apple about this? Is anyoe else experiencing this issue too?

Time capsule and Time Machine just says "preparing"

I just bought Time Capsule and ran my first Time Machine backup.
It took three trys before it completed a backup.
Now when it goes to back up it either says "preparing" for a very long time. Or it says it can't find the back up drive.
Can anyone advise a fix for me?

I wouldn't do that; it's a better idea to securely erase the TC via the Manual Configuration in Airport Utility.
In fact, I'm about to do that now; my backups from my MBP + another MB here were fine. After missing 3-4 days of backing up, I manually initiated one & it's just sitting on Preparing To Backup for over 20 minutes (on my third attempt).
I'm gonna let it rip through a secure erase tonight (a 1 TB Time Capsule (TC) can take a WHILE to secure erase. Remember; when you secure erase, it automatically adds necessary hidden files in the TC root) & backup my 170GB worth of junk (lol) tomorow night.

If you're updating your iPad with an over-the-air iOS update, the following Knowledge Base article offers up some practical steps for troubleshooting some of the issues that can arise:

Download takes a long time, or you can't reach update server
iOS updates require a persistent Internet connection, and the time it takes to download the update will vary according to the size of the update and your Internet speed. You can use your device normally while downloading the iOS update, and iOS will notify you when you can install the update. To improve the speed of the download, avoid downloading other content.
If you get a message that "an error occurred downloading iOS," try again later. If the issue persists, try updating your device in another network or use iTunes to update your device. Learn more about iOS updates.
Update does not complete
If you're installing the update and the progress bar appears to move slowly, be patient. The time an update takes depends on the size of the update and the number of files on the device.
