Itunes 11.4 on Windows 7 crashes within 10 seconds of opening

Question

When I open itunes after a few seconds (regardless of whether or not I try to interact with iTunes or I just let it be), a popup says "iTunes has stopped working ... Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
I was experiencing this problem yesterday so I downloaded the 11.4 update and I'm still having the same issue.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Okay, I found something that might help some of you guys if you have tried most things that you think are causing itunes to crash etc.  I found out pretty much through dumb luck that because I had reached the limit on how many computers are authorized, then itunes would crash or not connect to itunes store etc.  If you had itunes on your pc at somestage and formatted your pc without deauthorizing the computer on itunes and then you reinstalled everything on your computer, if you didnt deauthorize itunes before you had format the pc etc, then you will eventually reach the limit of authorisations, and there is some kind of bug in the software that was causing the crashes etc to occur.  There is a way to remove all your authorizations, you sign into itunes and delete them all, but you can only do this 1 time a year.
I was reading about that if you install itunes, and this problem is occuring, try clicking on DeAuthorize this computer, if it works, that will mean that you now have 4 computers authorized so you will now be able to reauthorize the computer in Itunes, when you do this, it should tell you, you now have 5 computers Authorized, or you are at the limit or something like that I cant remember right now (which means that this is also working so far), because in order to delete all 5 authorizations, you will need to do it through Itunes, there are instructions on how to do this, I tried this myself today and it worked and i had formatted my computer and installed windows onto my computer it was a fresh install.  If you want to read the "how to guide from apple on removing authorizations, plus to clarify a few things"s, here is the link. I edited this so many times it isnt funny.  Basically if you have reached the limit of authorizations, then itunes and your computer wont talk to each other, I couldnt figure out what was going on, I tried installing earlier versions of itunes but something was causing issues, it just didnt tell me at the time that it was due to the limit being reached of authorizations.  I cant figure out why, but to be honest, alot of the problems that occur on itunes sometimes are a complete mystery and even contacting apple doesnt solve it.  I couldnt work out why my flatmate was able to use his itunes but i couldnt. Now I have a fair idea.
