ITunes 11 video playlist

With older iTunes versions, I used to launch a video in a playlist, and when that video was finished, the following videos would play.
Now with iTunes11, clicking on a video in a playlist will only play that video which is annoying. Has someone found a way to play continuously videos in a playlist ?

It seems the 'Repeat all' function will only work when the videos are shown in list mode, but not in grid or artist mode. Bug ?

Loading a downloaded music video into itunes music video playlist

I have downloaded a couple of music videos not from itunes and have tried to inport them into the music video playlist but they go into the movies playlist,I have tried to change the ext. from mp4 to m4v file still works but stays in movies playlist, anybody able to do this?

Select the video and open the Get Info window (right click -> Get info or File -> Get info). Select the "Options" tab. Use the drop down "Media Kind" selection to change it from movie to music video.

Creating iTunes compatable video playlists

I have quite a few shows in various formats that play in quicktime, but I can't add to iTunes. Is there a plugin or something to solve that, or do I have to convert those shows to make them iTunes compatible? If so, what is the best free iTunes video converter?

This is a serious problem, and contributed to 11 being a dealbreaker for me.
Remote App 3 does the same thing: Try to play those playlists in browse view with Remote App. You are screwed. Instead of the playlist starting on my Apple TV, I get "Up Next" everytime I select a video in a playlist and then get told that I am not adding "music". Well, no ****?

IE: to make the videos play consecutively in the order i want without stopping after each video and gong back to the list.... this is what i have had to resort to make it work....what i want to do....is be able to make a playlist of videos on my iphone 5....take my apple tv to friends houses and with wifi....set up apple tv and play videos at the party and not have to stand by with the remote and find a new video to play stopping the music between the songs/videos....very annoying....and have spent over 4 hours one day and an hour and a half today on the phone today with a sr. advisor with apple and they have no clue.... this seems sooooo simple.... please somebody that really knows how to do this....i will be indebted forever...............

On my iPad3, in the Music app, I can find my video playlists in my iTunes library, but they are all empty. This works fine on my iPhone4. Does anybody know what the problem is?

BACKGROUND: When I'm home, using my iPhone4 and MacPro/iTunes library, I've been watching video on my iPhone via the Home Sharing feature of the said devices. I have lots of videos in my iTunes library, so I've set up lots of video playlists to help organize stuff, and also to more quickly zone in on the video I want to watch from my iPhone and AppleTV. So here's the process I go through when I want to watch a video on my iPhone: go into the Music app, then hit the "More..." selection (along the bottom right of screen), then hit the "Shared" selection, then hit the "Bob's iTunes Library" selection, then hit the "Playlists" selection (along the bottom left of screen), then find/select the video playlist of choice, then find/select the video of choice, then start watching. Aside from the occasional spontaneous disconnect issue I've been having lately, it all works like a charm.
(NOTE: I tried the same procedure using the Videos app on my iPhone, but there doesn't seem to be a way to see the video playlists in this app.)
TO THE PRESENT: So when I got my shiny new iPad3 this Monday, the very first thing I did was try to replicate this process on the iPad3. Because both the Videos app and the Music app look very different on the iPad vs their iPhone counterparts, I tried this using the Videos app first, but ran into the same problem as on the iPhone - there's no way (as far as I can tell) to view/access the video playlists in this app – all I see are icons, one for each video. I then tried the Music app, and steps are identical to the iPhone version. I got as far as getting to see my playlists, and then selecting the video playlist of interest, but once there, no videos are in the playlist, only a single song(??). In fact, none of the video playlists have any video files in them (some have song tracks??).

Same problem on my ipad 2...but it works well on my iphone 4s.

Itunes 9 erased my video playlists for my ipod video

I have a 5th gen 80gb video ipod. This weekend I upgraded to itunes 9 and it droppped all my video playlists, new and old. I tried changing the live update, reset my ipod, repaired the scan and fix issue, etc. The videos are still on the ipod and the playlists are still in itunes; but no video playlists are on the ipod. Any suggestions? Can/Should I revert to itunes 8, has anyone tried this successfully?

My itunes video playlists (grid view) keep changing to audio playlists

I'm using iTunes 10.7 and stream a lot of movies to my AppleTV. I have video playlists and the AppleTV recognizes them as such.
Lately, my video playlists, in the poster art (grid) view, have been changing to audio playlists and changing the order of the files from alphabetized by Title, to alphabetized by Artist. The buttons at the top of the playlist - "Movies Genres Unwatched" have changed to "Albums Artists Genres Composers"
If I create a new playlist, it retains the video qualities until I select another playlist, then it changes to the audio playlist, when I select it again.
The titles are all out of sequence, on the Apple TV - reflecting the setting on the poster view setting (e.g. "Artist") on the itunes playlist.
What do I have to do the get the playlists to retain the video characteristics?

Streaming video playlist from iTunes = ATV = TV

I expect this question has been asked, but I could find any specific answers with a search.
Does ATV allow video playlist streaming from iTunes to a TV? I would like to confirm that this capability exists before a purchase. Objective is to have my computer's iTunes feed a TV via ATV for a extended period of time (~8hrs) by playing a video playlist.

ITunes Video Playlist

Finally, itunes now has video play list that automatically plays all the Movies on the list (on the computer).
How can I get this to work on Apple TV, I have lots of short home videos that I want to play one after the other automatically (like songs playlist) but on the apple TV you have to play them one at a time.
Can we expect an Apple TV update by Friday also.

Ugrading to iTunes 7.2 stopped my Video playlists working on my iPod

Everything was working well, then I upgraded to iTunes 7.2.
Same day I tried to view my SMART Video Playlists as usual, and I get the old "0 of 0" screen, as if there are no videos in the playlist.
I know that these playlists worked fine before the upgrade
I know that the videos in the playlists are all playable on the iPod
I know the playlist works fine in iTunes
The only change was the iTunes upgrade.
I tried to do a complete RESET still same
Complete RESTORE still the same results.
Once again an upgrade had stopped my Video playlists from working.
I'd like to be able to go back to the previous version of the firmware before I did the restore, since I think the latest firmware upgrade has also contributed to the problem

I want to go back to a previous firmware version, surely someone here knows how to do that?

I found a workaround that puts podcasts back in the video app as well as the music app so you can watch them on TV via an AV cable again.

In short:
1. Make sure both the music and podcast app aren't running on your iPhone.
2. Plug your iPhone into your computer and disable Podcast syncing for your iPhone in iTunes.
3. Remove the podcast app from your iPhone
4. Plug your iPhone into your computer again and turn on podcast syncing, then sync.
5. Turn off and then back on your iPhone.
After I did this, I found podcasts had returned to being listed in my music and video apps.

My video playlists from iTunes stop playing after about 3 episodes. It just appears to buffer for no reason. I have checked to make sure that the hard drive that these movies are on does not go to sleep. Any ideas?

The "Tools" are in the old drop down menu, which are not shown by default in the new Firefox Design. To show this menu:
Firefox Menu > Customize
On the bottom left there will be Show/Hide Toolbars. The Menu will be listed here.

ITunes Video Playlists

I created several video playlists in my iMac's iTunes. They work great, going to next video as each is completed. However when I sync the iPad, the playlists show up but are empty in "music" and while the videos are in "video" there seems to be no way to find any video playlist as created in in iMac. Any suggestions.

ITunes video playlist does not loop when using apple tv/airplay

I have made a video playlist in itunes, I have made sure that each video file is not set to "skip when shuffled" and I have also gone into appletv settings and ensured that looping is turned on. When I shuffle this playlist, it plays through airplay to my apple tv, but after each video in the playlist has played the playlist stops.
I would like the playlist to continue indefinitely until I decide to press stop. Does anyone have any thoughts on why this does not happen?

Videos don't show up on iPod video playlist

Maybe I'm not understanding something, but I subscribe to a coupld of video podcasts. They update fine off iTunes and they synch over to my iPod. The problem is, they don't show up in any of the video playlists. They show up under the 'recently added' list of both music and video files.
How can I get these things to list in the Video Podcast playlist?? Thanks for your help and thoughts!

Do you have a Fifth Generation iPod, or not?
Only Fifth Generation iPods are compatible with any videos, which include video podcasts that you try to download onto it.
So, if you have a Nano, for example, it isn't won't be capable of playing any video files, sorry.
