ITunes 12 artwork missing but really missing

As you can see here. The file has artwork attached but it's not showing up in iTunes. It's sporadiac which albums appear not to have the artwork and these albums will also not transfer the music file with artwork to my iPhone. I'm obsessive with tagging so I know what I am doing. Anyone else having this issue?

1. Go through each of the sources Music, Movies, etc. and select Playlists. Use the ellipsis ... to enable the sources you want to see. Apps, Tones, and Internet Radio don't have a Playlists button, the others do and remember your selection. Not quite the same as it used to be, but not too different. Other view controls are available from the drop down at the right-hand side.
2. The search features on this forum are somewhat inscrutable, particularly the initial quick search tool. Google may serve you better although I can usually find what I want here. This is a search on the terms iTunes 12 sidebar limited to the iTunes for Windows community space.

3. Apple don't generally monitor these boards for feedback or bug reports. You can report problems via the relevant feedback form, e.g. iTunes Feedback, or sign up for a free Apple Developer Connection account and make use of Apple Bug Reporter.
I would draw your attention to the terms of use at the foot of the page, in particular 1.2.4 "Do not post polls or petitions or links to same." It is one thing to tell someone where to post feedback if they ask, quite another to seek out threads just for the purpose of encouraging feedback and with no other constructive message.

Same computer but itunes says authorized but really not

i had some hard drive issue so i went to the apple store and got my hard drive replaced.. now that im trying to add some apps on my ipod touch it says that this computer is not authorized so i authorize it and it tell me its there is only 2 computers authorized and then it tells me due to the computer not being able to authorize it will need to delete certain apps... i dont understand what is wrong.. can anyone help with this issue??

Missing files really missing!

I have a dumb question.... by any chance does Lightroom preserve a copy of an image file, NEF or JPEG?
I apparently erased several photos from my hard drive by mistake. Lightroom still displays the thumbnail, but obviously can not locate the associated file. To make matters worse, my back-up drive crashed on the same week, so no help for me there either.
So I am trying to determine if there is any help finding a copy of the file in Lightroom.

No, the files are not in LR. However, previews might remain. Extracting them may depend on which OS you are using.

Album artwork went missing but song details were updated

need help to know what's the reason why a certain album artwork went missing when you have updated them before manually, via posting a jpg file and dragging them on to the artwork space.
what i noticed whenever this happens all the other details such as song number and disc# and even the songwriters have been updated.
also on the comment space displays something like this:
0000047A 00000026 00005D13 00001BBB 00051243 0004071F 000080CF 00007EE2 0002DA82 00009478
i am not sure what these codes are but it gets so annoying that you get to update the artwork everytime it goes missing.
on the preference tab i unchecked 'automatically download missing artwork' but still something like connecting to internet automaticaly updates it.
this happens to some albums only not all. i wonder if someone can explain and give solutions that it will not update any existing artowrk i have on itunes. thanks.

Just to clarify ... you still have media files that are linked correctly from iTunes (i.e., right-click > Get Info, File tab shows the correct location), but these have not been moved to the "expected" location - assuming your iTunes folder is in the default place - C:\Users\username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music\artist_name\album_title - correct?
There are a couple of other scenarios in which iTunes may not be able to complete the consolidation process:
Some folders in the iTunes Media hierarchy might be set to read-only - to fix this, right-click on your iTunes Media folder in Windows Explorer and select Properties. On the General tab there's a check box labeled "Read-only" - click the box so that the flag is unchecked and the box is white. Click OK, and then OK again when the "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files" option selected.
Windows permissions issues are preventing iTunes from moving your media files (there's some anecdotal evidence of a change in this behavior in iTunes 12). See turingtest2's notes on Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows for advice on fixing this.
Then try the consolidation process again ... if it still doesn't work as expected we'll need to dive further into details of how your media is currently organized and how the non-moving items appear in iTunes.

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

You should be able to copy iTunes purchases back to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. For music purchased from other sites or copied from your own CDs then are they not already on your computer and/or on a backup ? If not then you will need to find a third-party program that can copy them off the iPod.

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

I bought Eminem - Curtain Call (I was feeling nostalgic due to the new Leeds Fest line-up) and the album artwork and title is missing. I have tried deleting and re-downloading a number of times. Even changing the title and artwork manually won't work. Sometimes after re-downloading, tracks appear to be missing, while others have the artwork and title.
I have no idea why it is happening, if I wanted this hassel, I would have downloaded a torrent.
Please help guys, I am a little bit OCD when it comes to organising my library haha

Delete the current copies and then download again (free) from your purchased history. If the problem persists contact iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history.

You're sure that it completely downloaded? There may be a downloads button at the bottom on the right side of the iTunes Store app if the movie did not finish downloading.
Did you look in there to make sure that it fully downloaded?
You can also search for it. Swipe down from the middle of the home screen to get to the search field at the top of the screen. Type in the name of the movie and see if it shows up. If it appears, you can tap on it and it will begin to play but that will also start the 24 or 48 hour timer that you get to watch a rental once you start it.
If you are not ready to watch the movie, don't tap on it. But if it shows up in the search, you know it's on the iPad so the next thing that I would do is reset the iPad and then look again in the videos app.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Mail Messages "Missing" --- but not really

SO I had to do a full restore from a Time machine disk recently because of a cyclical boot problem I was having --- I ended up losing a days worth of work but it was time critical that I get up and going again sooner then later so I did a full restore. Every thing came back OK except for Mail --- All of my mail is there but when you click the view them them the actual message portion of the e-mail is missing --- BUT If I enter time machine and look back at them they are there. a very strange bug. Anybody have a suggestion?

Report the names of the files and folders present at the first level of the ~/Library/Mail/ folder in the Finder.
In order to post the exact file names and avoid typing mistakes, proceed as follows. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. With that folder open, if you’re looking at it in View > as List mode, first collapse any expanded folders so that the Finder only shows the files and folders at the first level of ~/Library/Mail/. Now, do Edit > Select All (⌘A), then Edit > Copy (⌘C), and paste it in your reply to this post.
Before actually posting that information, edit it so that the file/folder names do not reveal any details you should keep private, e.g. replace any real username with “username” to hide your real email address. Other than that, report the file/folder names as accurately as possible.
Now, go to ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/. With that folder open, repeat the procedure to let me see the names of the files and folders it contains. Again, you may disguise any mailbox names you wish to keep private. Be careful to not alter any suffixes, though.
Finally, report the names of the files and folders present at the first level of the ~/Library/Mail/Mac-username/ account folder.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.
