ITunes 12 Cannot Remember My Password

It seems I've always had this problem intermittently, but lately iTunes 12.0.1.26 cannot remember my password at all. I have to enter it two or three times whenever I launch the app. I'm gonna count the "two or three times" as a separate issue, since this also happens with PayPal, for instance. Why is iTunes unable to access Keychain? I have Access Control set to allow iTunes to access that item, confirm before allowing access, ask for Keychain password. Instead, I have to open Keychain Access, then copy/paste the password into iTunes each time.
I see that this question has been posted a number of times over the years, yet, as far as I can see, it never is properly answered. Has anyone discovered a solution to this problem?

You can't transfer any content from one account to another account, all content will remain tied to the account that downloaded it.
If this page doesn't let you get access to your old account : http://iforgot.apple.com, then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get access to it : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 (if you've also forgotten the answers to your security questions then they should also be able to reset them)
When you've got access to your account you can then use the steps half-way down this page to update your rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312

If you can't remember your password or security answers and don't have access to the email address (you didn't have a rescue email address on the account ?) then you can try contacting Support in your country and seeing if you can get the password reset and access to the account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 (they should also be able to reset the security questions)
If you can then update the primary email address on the account to be an address that you have access to.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Unfortunately, you must restore it in iTunes on your computer. There is no way to retrieve a forgotten pass lock code.

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

All content and data is forever associated with the Apple ID you used to download it. You should have reset the password for the original I'd.

Go to appleid.apple.com and click in the reset password option. You maybe able to reset using the security questions option. If you can't, contact support using expresslane.apple.com email option, or call the AppleCare support line.
