ITunes 5.2.1 keeps freezing?

After upgrading to iTunes 5.2.1, it keeps freezing up my Mac a few seconds after the application opens. It mostly happens when it can't "connect to the iTunes store" on startup. I wonder if there's a setting to stop it from automatically connecting to the iTunes store, or if there's a way to fix this freezing problem? I can't do anything unless I force the MacBook to shut down and it's quite frustrating. Help appreciated! Thanks.

Have you tried "Run" instead of "Save?"
Do you have anti-virus software on the PC? If you do, try disabling the anti-virus for just 15minutes to allow the download to finish.

ITunes Store "Purchased" tab keeps freezing.

My Ipad 2 will not load "purchased" song in the iTunes store. It just freezes and the loading "wheel" just spins. I am then unable to click on anything else. The other portions ofthe iTunes store work fine.

You did not buy it from the itunes store. Itunes store does not sell apps for computers, only ipod/iphone/iipad.

ITunes 8.1.1 keeps freezing

Since yesterday everytime I use iTunes it freezes when I skip certain tracks or even with nothing playing when I select different tracks and I to force to exit the program to unfreeze it.

Right.
I've finally got things sorted out today.
After half an hour on the phone to apple care i managed to get through to the product support team and the guy i spoke to got me to do the following.
I removed all traces of iTunes 8.0.1 into a new folder on my desktop.
I then went to www.oldapps.com and downloaded iTunes 7.7 and installed it.
I then did an archive and restore.
Essentially i reloaded the OSX and the only software i didn't update was iTunes.
And would you belive it... Everything is working perfectly.
Not an ideal solution to a problem that shouldn't happen but it has worked and i can now get back to using my Shuffle.

2 itunes accounts and 1 keeps freezing

Hi all,I'm using windows 7,64 bit op system.
I've got 2 iTunes accounts on 2 separate user accounts on my pc.The first works fine any time I want to sync anything.If I then close iTunes and switch to other user account and open iTunes if I try to sync anything using a different phone or ipad,iTunes continually freezes and the only way I can get it to sync is by resetting my pc.
Any ideas anyone ???

As long as all the devices are signed into the mobile iTunes Store with the same iTunes Store account ID, yes, it should work. iTunes Match is associated with one and only one iTunes Store account and can not be shared across accounts.

No. iTunes Match is for music only (and music videos purchased from the iTunes Store).

Your iCloud account is different and seperate from your iTunes Store account, so makes no difference. It is not possible to merge Apple IDs as this time.

iTunes was running fine on my iMac (OS X 10.6.8) until I accepted the upgrade to iTunes 10.5.2. Now, when I try to play the radio, it freezes every half hour or so. Now I can't even GET the radio. Instead I get the message, "An error occurred while contacting the radio tuning service. Check your Internet connection, or try again later." It doesn't matter which station I try to get. Does anyone know what can be done about this problem?

ITunes Store and music keep freezing and closing on me. How can I make this stop?

So I downloaded the 3 versions of Chipstep by Boyinaband, and it's been processing for 5+ hours! Not to mention whenever I go into my music, it stays on my playlists screen and then closes. Why does my ipod keep freezing and skipping songs?

I have the 80GB Ipod Classic, and for some reason it keeps skipping songs, for instance, whenever I go to look under a certain artist or a playlist of even just under "songs" I'll pick one and then it will skip one or two or ten, and there are some songs it just doesn't allow me to listen to anymore. Only on my ipod though, not on itunes. It also keeps freezing and will sometimes just stop in the middle of a song and skip to a new one. I've tried resetting it, and leaving it alone for a few days and letting it charge and leaving it off. Nothing seems to work.

I had this problem with my old 20GB classic ipod, it all started when I began using my ipod for my running trainings, every day it used to get worse freezing every 10 minutos or so, then I got ****** and bought a new 80GB classic Ipod, I have it for about 3 weeks now and guess what? It started freezing or skiping songs also. I did a test where I synced the same library on my both ipod and the songs being skipped on my new one wasnt being skipped on the old one, so its a problem with the song, then I though it could be any damage in the ipod HD but my new ipod has no reason to be damaged, the only impact that it might have recived is from my running trainings, but the impacts are really weak. Other test I did was trying to remove the song being skiped from the ipod, everytime I did that my ipod couldnt be ejcted, it kept showing me the following message "The ipod canot be ejcted because it contains files that are used by another aplication." I had to unplug my ipod without ejecting it.

My itunes keeps freezing when I play one song;

I recently bought the album "Madvillainy" on the itunes store and whenever I play the song "Great Day" it freezes my entire computer at the 1:25 mark. If I'm quick I can shut down itunes fast enough to keep the whole computer from freezing up, but otherwise I can't even open the task manager to shut itunes down.
I am also now getting a message that reads "The itunes library folder cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred (-50). This is irritating to me.
Also why isn't there an e-mail address for support?

It's probably a corrupt file. Delete it and contact the iTunes Music Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of this web page and explain the problem to them. Or log into the iTunes Music Store, go to your Purchase History, find the problem track, click the arrow to the left of the track listing, and use the reporting link there.
