ITunes 6.0.3(6) has locked up my CD player
I installed to the new ITunes upgrade, now it freezes when I try to listen to a CD. The CD doesn't seem to spin and I have to Force Quit ITunes. I have Tiger on a Powerbook G4. Is this happening to anyone else? Have you found a solution?

I found a temporary fix but from everything I've read, I think that ITunes will have to be reinstalled.
The temporary fix is go to your library/preferences and delete the CD Info.cidb file. Then empty the trash bin and restart your computer. Presently I have to do this everytime I put in a new CD. It's annoying! I can't find my ITunes disk so haven't tried reinstalling.

The logo is saying connect it to your computer with iTunes installed on the computer. I assume when yo do this that the iPod is not seen in iTunes. to make iTunes appear try:
- Resetting the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Place the iPod in recovery mode. See:

I have downloaded an iOS update on my iPad air2 but it has locked the screen and I can only see the iTunes symbol with a white arrow and a padlock below it. I have tried turning the iPad off and on but the same screen reappears. Has anyone had a similar problem?
What that symbol indicates is that your iPad has gone into recovery mode and now it needs to be restored in order for you to be able to use it again. You can reboot from now until the cows come home and it will not do any good.
You do indeed need to plug your iPad into your computer and use iTunes to restore the device.

* If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
charge, and then start with step 2 again.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.

The device will have to be restored but without the last computer it was synced to, that's not a possibility.
Take the iPod to an Apple store or Apple certified repair shop.

After accepting today's update,11/17, my phone has locked up on a plug in to iTunes. Phone responds to nothing. Not even the restart. Help????

My Ipad has locked with Itunes logo and cable displayed on a black screen. Cant do anything
My Ipad has locked on a black screen with only the Itunes music logo together with an arrow and a cable white photo display. Turning it on and off achieves nothing, only the Itunes circle and cable appear each time. What can I do to rectify?
I uploaded iOS 7 and the ipad came up with a black screen with pictures of iTunes logo and power cord. It wouldn't turn off or respond to any actions. A terrifying moment. I followed some suggestions from these discussions, connected iPad to Macbook with iTunes open and prayed. It took 3 separate times to completely reset the iPad, because of several "errors" that would occur throughout the lengthy process. This necessity to completely reset my iPad (and it is very shakily alive now, I fear) was a direct result of uploading the new OS. I am furious. What is going on with Apple? I see this has happened to people for quite a while now. Good Lord.

I had a very similar problem. Eventually I figured out it was related to Quicktime. I installed the latest Quicktime and Itunes suddenly worked.

My doughter borrowed my ipad and tried to guess the code.... and now it is locked. It says that the ipad has been deactivited and I shall connect to itunes. And that SIM is locked. It simply stays on the same screen image, and does not respond to anything. When I plug it into itunes, there is no indication of its presence.
The ipad's clock has also stopped.
