ITunes 7.0.2 installation--error message 2203
I have tried downloading iTunes 7.0.2 but I get error message 2203 for it and quicktime.
I uninstalled quicktime and reinstalled the program, then tried the download for iTunes again,
Still getting the error 2203
...and iTunes Music store keeps loading their Japanese store!
do you have the latest version of the Windows Installer on your PC?
probably the easiest way to check is to head into Add/Remove programs (don't uninstall anything at this stage), and look at your Windows Installer entry. if it doesn't have a "(KB893803)" next to it, try upgrading your Installer to version 3.1v2. see:

I finally got the program to install/run. I downloaded a third copy and saved it again on the desktop. I selected "Run as Administrator" instead of "Run" It must have been the 10th plus time I tried to install, but this time it completed. I don't know if the "Run as Administrator" was the key since it is Vista, or if I just got lucky. Either way I am relieved.

Itunes 7.5 Installation Error Message
I tried to install the new itunes 7.5, but an error message always appears stating: "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2738". I have really no idea what to do. All of my songs do not appear on my ipod but they appear on itunes. Does anyone know how to resolve this issued so that I can begin to use my ipod again? I need help!

I tried the instructions and I received another message which said: "The module ".d11" failed to load. Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files. The specified module could not be found." Thank you for responding! Installation error message 1603 for itunes 8.0.2.20
Need help. Installation keeps failing. Says that it cannot install. I'm on XP Professional. Removed all Itunes and QuickTime software using MS Uninstaller. I've disabled ant-virus and firewalls. Below is the text from the ItunesSetup.txt in the temp directory

Returning: 1603I am not sure about this particular error number. Looking it up in Windows Installer error messages, it says file in use, restart may be required. But I am not certain that it is a Windows installer error message.
It certainly is worth trying a restart.
I would also clear your temporary Internet files and re-download iTunes.
Also clear your temporary directory as that seems to be where the error occurred.

I know there's a million threads like this, but I thought I'd record my experience. I, too, was having the original poster's error when I tried to update iTunes on Windows XP. I think I was stuck on 10.
I solved it by un-installing iTunes and every other Apple app. I discovered that Apple Software Update would not un-install as its MSI file could not be found. I used the "Windows Install Cleanup" tool from Microsoft to remove Apple Software Update from the list of installed programs. Google "kb290301" for a Microsoft page that includes a download link for it. After that, I was able to install a fresh copy of iTunes 10.5.2.
I'm not sure why this app's folder and MSI were missing from my computer. I had once used Laplink PC Mover to move everything from my old computer to this one, and perhaps it missed a bit. -

Can you start QuickTime on your computer?
You'll probably have to search for the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and use it to remove QuickTime Player and iTunes. Then download and install the iTunes again. -

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR suitable for your PC (there's a 32-bit Windows version and a 64-bit Windows version):

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?

I can't uninstall or update iTunes. I get an error message that it can't find the file itunes64.msi. where is it suppose to be?

(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

Everytime I try to update to Itunes 11 I get an error message saying that Itunes has an invalid signature and can't be installed? I have tried to install it two times and get the same message each time. Any solutions to my problem?? Those who have installed ITUNES 11 is it hard to work with? maybe im lucky it wont update??
