ITunes 7.1.1.5 will not restore iPod
My iPod Photo stopped playing, and when I tried to restored it with iTunes, I got the message "iPod cannot be restored because it contains files in use by another application". What files? What application? How can I get around this error?

Help Itunes 10.2.2.12 will not restore
I upgraded Itouch to 4.3 software. Then it crashed. Got stuck in USB mode. I upgraded I tunes to 10.2.2.12. Still it will not restore or recover.
I have deleted Itunes and all apple things 4 times now.. still get the error.1604 when ever I try to recover.
New updates have now screwed my itouch to the point where it cost me 2 customers today.. Im not happy at all about this thing.Well, I found out how to recover SOME of my I touch data.
I recently made a backup of my HD, including all the files in My Documents folder. It contained a I tunes library that was made with I tunes 10.2.1.
I found a website that had the older versions of I tunes, and I downloaded 10.2.1 and it was able to access the library, which made my Itouch go back to about 2 weeks ago. Unfortinatly doing this, I also lost all of my data in the note application and all my game data, from playing various games including angry birds.
Today I am going to try to back everything up, and upgrade I tunes first to the new 10.2.2.12, then upgrade my Itouch.. if it crashes again, I will still have a recent backup that I will be able to re-install. -
My iPad 2 will not restore using iTunes. It just quit a week or two ago and showed that I had to connect to iTunes.
When I do the "restore and update" it does not complete the "verifying iPad restore with Apple" and then shows the following message:
The iPad "iPad" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (40).
I have tried it a number of times. Also turned of anti-virus and firewall. Tried on different computers. All resulted in the same message. The iPad is only 2 1/2 years old, so I hope it can be fixed.
Does anyone have a solution?

Itunes will not restore my 2nd gerneration ipod shuffle giving error1418
Itunes will not restore my 2nd generation ipod shuffle. I am getting an error 1418. I am running Windows Vista so none of the fixes that I have seen seem to work for me. Is there anything else that I can try or am I ipodless until Wednesday or Thusday when the new I pod arrives? And I thought Sleepless in Seattle was bad. Shuffleless in Seattle is much worse.

My Ipod 4th Gen will not turn on. When I hook it up to the computer I get the ITunes symbol and the usb device on the screen of the Ipod. When I go to restore the Ipod it will not restore. I am getting unknown error code 6.

As an update i uninstalled and reinstalled all ipod updates and Itunes completely. Still only have the folder with exclmation point problem. I have followed all of Apple Ipods websites support tips. no luck..

Will not restore or show up in iTunes?!
Have recently upgraded iPhone 3 software to most recent and has backed up fine, but will not restore. The screen says connect to iTunes but will not be picked up on itunes at all, and will not show on my computer either ?!?!

My phone will not come on because it says i need to plug it into itunes, so i did and now it will not restore. I have changed the USB cable, used different USB ports and used a different computer however errors still keep happening. Please help.

Ok. You don't have to select your number. Just check your email under your "grey" number and then at the bottom of this page you will see the option "Start new conversations from". Select your number.
