Itunes 7.1 cannot find my songs
When I first downloaded itunes 7.1 songs would not play because itunes could not find them. I tried to import my library to itunes and even after trying to restore the songs by following the instructions for recreating my itunes library itunes said not all songs where imported because they could not be found. What the heck is going on I am at my wits end and super frustrated because I am sure there is an easy solution.

I am having the same problem. When I access by iTunes Library or Purchased music, it directs me to former libraries and they still won't play. I understand that Apple no longer monitors Discussions. We should all send feedback.

ITunes says it cannot find my songs...
My itunes library is on an external HDD. I've gone to edit>preferences and made sure the itunes media library is set to this place. I had no issues last week but today i've turned itunes on, and it cannot find any of the songs even though they are in the same place.
Any song I click on it says "itunes cannot find the file would you like to locate it". Is there a way that you can get itunes to search and assign everything for you? Its confusing me...When you first told iTunes where to look for your library (i.e. on an external drive as opposed to the default) that drive would have been assigned a drive letter by your computer. Now, is the external drive given the same letter as before? If not, that's why you have a problem.
This can happen if you have something else connected as well, a camera or USB printer for instance. If the "camera" was given the drive letter previously used by your external drive, the external drive would have to be given a different letter.
Actually, another thing, if the external drive is not connected to your computer _and ready for use_ when you start up iTunes, then iTunes will automatically revert to the C:drive.

I bought songs on itunes through my iphone not too long ago. When I went to plug my iphone into my computer to sync, itunes asked me to restore my phone. I backed my phone up, but now i cannot find the songs i purchased through my phone. I've looked for the songs in the itunes store, but it said that i had not purchased any of the songs.How do i get back the songs?

Zapya.apk is an android app and will not work on an iOS device.

I already have an itunes account on my laptop but have been setup on a mac and have songs that have not been purchased from the itunes store, I cannot get the songs from my iPhone onto my itunes account on the mac. how can I do this?
You copy them from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.

Itunes 11.1 is for your computer, not your iphone

i subscribed for itunes imatch - it works perfectly on my i-pad and iPhone - however on my macbook - my iTunes can no longer find my songs - i don't know how to make it look to the cloud to play my music - i think it keeps trying to find on the external harddrive where i used to keep my music
Of course iTunes is looking for the music on the external HDD. Enabling iTunes Match does not magically change the location of the iTunes library to the cloud.
To play the music either plug the external HDD back into your computer or create a new, empty library to use for streaming the iTM content. The latter can be accomplished by holding down the Option key when launching iTunes, choosing "create library" then enabling iTunes Match on the new library. DO NOT have iTunes scan your HDD for music. -

Did you check your Library in iTunes?
Under the view menu is View options, make sure "Kind" and "Purchase Date" are enabled, then sort the items in your Library by clicking where it says "Kind" and "Purchase Date"
The ringtone should come right up to the top as it was the last item purchased.
It's also could be in your "purchased" folder on the left pane under iTunes Store

Try reset modem/router (disconnect from power for some minutes)
Keep the Powerbutton and the Homebutton pressed at the same time until you see the Apple logo on your iPad screen. -

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the thingy):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

Applet gives trouble in Netscape
