ITunes 7.4.2.5 post install issue unable to import cd's

Once I upgraded to the new version of iTunes I am unable to import cd's. When starting iTunes I get the following error: iTunes was not properly installed. If you wish to import or burn CD's you need to reinstall iTunes. I have uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled, re-downloaded, repeated the process several times. Still get the same error. Was working fine with previous version. Anyone else seen this? Know of a fix?

I am also having problems with this error message. It seems to be related to the 64 bit processors. I have not yet found any fix for this with 7.4.2 itunes.

  • SP2010 Foundation Post Install issues on development workstation - Database and Services

Just recently installed SP2010 Foundation for a development workstation.  Platform isWin7 X64 pro, SQL 2008 (Developer edition)
    (1) Looks like search has some configuration issues.  This is in the Windows event log
The Execute method of job definition Microsoft.SharePoint.Search.Administration.SPSearchJobDefinition (ID 38eefca2-d092-47f4-a833-23f8280c5f63) threw an exception. More information is included below.
    The device is not ready.
    (2) In Central Admin > Servers in Farm
    Status - "Upgrade Available",
    (3) In Central Admin > Manage Database Upgrade Status
Sveral of the Datbase(s) mention that upgrade is recommended, but one in particular mentions that the DB is too old?
    WSS_Search_GHHTY
    SPSearchDatabase
Database is too old and upgrade is required
    Huh?
    (4) Looking at my local SQL 2008 instance that SP2010 created, I see several DB's with "Config" in the name along with a guid on the end of the name.  Is the result of re-running the configuration wizard several times while
    I was correcting install issues?

here is question, i am assuming its fresh install not upgrade...
when you run the config wizard( you mentioned many times), which option you select from 2nd try to on ward....cannot disconnect this server from farm?
are you using any script to install ?
I would say run the config wizard without disconnecting and this server will host CA option.
from the central admin > manager server in farm...on top you will see farm version and config database name. note it
from the Manage database Upgrade status page note all the db names
now match it on sql and keep those and all other should gone now as a clean process.

  • Post Install Issue - Command Not Recognised [NOW A NETWORK ISSUE]

After an apparently successful install, when I reboot and type 'ifconfig', I get 'command' not found. Looks like a path command is missing to where that program lives. How can I backtrack and set up paths to where stuff lives?

Following the beginners' guide, in the post-installation section, I try: '$ ping -c 3 example.com' but I get the response: 'ping: unknown host example.com'
    When I run edit /etc/rc.conf, all I see is: "/etc/rc.conf" 119 lines, 3827 characters.
I did a fresh install following the beginners' guide as apposed to the one I found on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjTTl_9a … re=related) and got the same issues.
    What am I doing wrong?

  • Post-Install Issue - Windows Installer runs every time CRW XI R2 loads

I have XP SP3.  If I uninstall CR XI SP2 and re-install CR XI from cd, it loads perfectly - no windows installer.  When I uninstall CR XI, and re-install CR XI SP2 from the saved download on my harddrive, the Windows installer runs every time I load it; it seems to think it's never been run before.  Takes 3-8 minutes to load every time, which is completely annoying.
I have also tried downloading that full build of XI SP2 3 times - and uninstalling/reinstalling.  Makes no difference.
I know this is not a design issue, but I didn't know where else to turn.  I have been tolerating this issue for about 18 months and I can't take it any more!
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Please try using other computer units then update me the result, the purpose is to check if your unit OS may be the problem.

  • Flash player 11.7.700 post install issues

installed Adobe flash player thru mozilla firefox, my os is windows XP , when I go online new tabs open telling me to install flash player even tho I already did.  How do I make it stop opening these tabs?

It would really be helpful to see a screenshot.  We've found in some cases these notifications aren't driven by Flash Player at all.
How do I capture and post a screenshot or video?

  • Post install issue: network not working

Hi. I've installed arch and after install just issued full system upgrade (pacman -Syu). But after reboot, my network is not working anymore  (can't ping even my gateway). In my rc.conf i have line
    interface=eth0
so i am using dhcp. But as i said, network was working before full system upgrade (packages were downloaded). I think something must be wrong with module b44. This is output of dmesg:
b44 ssb1:0: eth0: Link is up at 100 Mbps, full duplex
b44 ssb1:0: eth0: Flow control is off for for TX and off for RX
    b44 ssb1:0: eth0: powering down PHY
    b44 ssb1:0: eth0: Link is down
    b44 ssb1:0: eth0: powering down PHY
b44 ssb1:0: eth0: Link is up at 100 Mbps, full duplex
b44 ssb1:0: eth0: Flow control is off for for TX and off for RX
    b44 ssb1:0: eth0: powering down PHY
    b44 ssb1:0: eth0: Link is down
    b44 ssb1:0: eth0: powering down PHY
This keeps repeating every few seconds. I tried manually restart network via /etc/rc.d/network restart, but it's still not working.

    The network restarts without error?
Weird, do you see anything in pacman.log for that upgrade when processing the hooks?
Try unloading (modprobe -r b44) and loading (modprobe -i -v b44)  the driver and look in the logs again then perhaps.

  • Post install issues (usb mounting, networking problems)

Hi guys, I'm new there, just wanted to ask you few questions.
That's my desk now, I just changed some colors.
    http://i.imgur.com/ASN19z9.png
The question is: how should I move now? I mean I got some tecnical troubles like:
    - connecting my USB it dosn't recognize it.
    - It dosn't work with all WIFI connections.
    - Pacman Syyu dosn't work
error: unresolvable package conflicts detected error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies) :: xorg-server and xf86-video-modesetting are in conflict
I was wondering if there is some big pack i can install to get those basic features i really need like mounting an USB device, or some video player.
It's like now my OS is really poor, just basic.
Can you guys give me some tips how to move now? thanks a lot.
(like tell me some programs you would say "really needed" to use this OS)

How did you install archlinux?  Did you follow the Beginner's Guide?  If so, did you follow the links to General Recommendations, and the List of Applications?  These are targetted directly at the questions you are asking here.  All of what you are asking about is clearly answered in the wiki.
Feel free to ask specific questions about anything you find in the wiki that you have trouble with, but do not expect us to regurgitate all of that information here for you.  If you do need help you'll need to pick one issue to work on in this thread, and provide us the relevant information so we can help you.
EDIT: How did you get the xf86-video-modesetting error?  That package is no longer in the repos?  If you want help with this, please describe what you have done to get that package installed.
First of all thanks a lot for the reply.
I didn't followed the wiki becouse I installed Arch by ArchBang CD-Rom (2years old).
That's also why (maybe) I got the xf86-video-modesetting error I guess.

    Regarding usb device, e.g.:
    plug in your flash drive
    $ lsblk
    $ lsblk -f
log in as root (or use sudo)
    mount your flash drive
    # mount -t auto /dev/sdb? /media
For setting up net connection, go to some other Internet-connected computer (e.g. get a live cd from any Linux distro that will be already pre-setup for Internet access) and study tutorials on installation and setting up networking on archlinux.org
    site.
Thanks for the reply, yep I understand but I would like to make the computer recognize automatically the USB when I connect it.
Anyway, the connection works fine, but with some networks it gives problems. (for example, at my own house it works, at friend's place dosn't, kept reposting pswd like if it was wrong but we checked loads of times and it was right.)

  • ORACLE 11g R2 POST Install Issue

    Hi,
I have successfully installed ORACLE 11g R2 on my windows 7 platform. The problem is that when i open the database control URL page and then enter my credentials, it fails to log in and says that an internal error has occurred. Please view the log files. I have also seen the logs but didn't find anything helpful. Kindly help.
    Thanks.

I got this data from 'emoms.log' It's not the full log file. It's just a last few part of it.
May be this is the required one.

  • New install issue-unable to connect to DB server from a remote client.

    Hi experts,
I am new to setting up oracle server so pls bear with me...
I setup a db server (11g on top of 64bit Oracle Linux) at home (static 192.168.1.90). I verified that db, listener are up and running. However, I tried to connect to the server from a different client machine (192.168.1.108) within my home network but the server cannot be reached. I was able to ping both client and server using the IP addresses and hostnames. I followed the following steps to perform troubleshooting but was unable to move on beyond step 3, telnet-ing the server on port 1521. Can someone help me out what I should do make the port # (1521) is reachable by the client?
    1. Check with "ping" using the IP address ("ping 198.11.34.43"
    2. Check with "ping" using DNS name (e.g. "tnsping uranus")
    3. Try telnet to the IP on port 1521 (telnet 1.2.3.4 1521)
    4. Check with "tnsping" using TNS service name
    5. Invoke SQL*Plus from the OS command line "sqlplus fred@flintstone". If this fails, check to ensure that your listener is the flintstone service defined.
    6. Sign-on to SQL*Plus and connect with the TNS name ("connect fred/flintstome@service_name"
    7. Within SQL*Plus, try a select from table@remote_db_link
    thanks a lot in advance.

Is COPY & PASTE broken for you?
It is really, Really, REALLY difficult to fix a problem that can not be seen.
use COPY & PASTE so we can see what you do & how Oracle responds.

  • OBIEE 11g SSL Configuration Issue : Unable to import the Server certs

    Hello All,
We are trying to configure OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0 with SSL using Windows server 2003 (IIS) and facing some issues with that.
Followed the document : OBIEE11g SSL Setup and Configuration [1326781.1]
    http://obieedue.blogspot.sg/2012/08/obiee11g-ssl-setup-and-configuration.html
and also completed generating the required certificate signing request and keystores for SSL communication and sent it to the CA (IT Admin team) to to have the certificate signed by CA. The issue comes when I am trying to import the CA certificate (Root certificate) and Server Certificate into the Java Keystore.
I am importing the Root CA Certificate first which is successfully added to the keystore.
keytool -import -trustcacerts -alias mycacert -file cacert.pem -keystore mykeystore.jks -storepass Welcome1
    Trust this certificate? [no]: yes
    Certificate was added to keystore.
But when trying to add the Server Certificate to the keystore using the command below :
keytool -import -v -alias testserver -file server.cer -keystore mykeystore.jks -keypass Welcome1 -storepass Welcome1
Certificate reply was installed in keystore
    I get the following error:
keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Failed to establish chain from reply
java.lang.Exception: Failed to establish chain from reply
    at sun.security.tools.KeyTool.establishCertChain(KeyTool.java:2662)
    at sun.security.tools.KeyTool.installReply(KeyTool.java:1870)
    at sun.security.tools.KeyTool.doCommands(KeyTool.java:807)
    at sun.security.tools.KeyTool.run(KeyTool.java:172)
    at sun.security.tools.KeyTool.main(KeyTool.java:166)
Read many forums and tried to convert it to the PKCS#7 format and import the cert to the identity keystore, but was not successful in that either. I have also checked with the IT Admin team and found there is only one RootCA and no other intermediate CA's.
Please advice if any one has similar issues or suggestions.
    Thanks in advance,
    SVS

    Hi,
One obvious reason would be that you did not specify -trustcacerts, and the root CA is not included in the present server keystore. In that case, using the -trustcacerts option would solve the problem, if the root CA is indeed in the JDK cacerts.
To print out the certificates present in the JDK cacerts, use the following command:
keytool -list -keystore <JAVA_HOME>/jre/lib/security/cacerts -storepass changeit -v
Then check if the root CA that signed your server certificate is present, and has not expired (in which case, you would need to re-import a newer one into cacerts).
Another common reason for that error message is when you have used a proprietary CA to sign your server certificate. Then it would obviously not be in the JDK cacerts. The solution in that case is to import your proprietary root CA into the JDK cacerts, using the following command:
keytool -import -keystore <JAVA_HOME>/jre/lib/security/cacerts -file yourRootCA.pem -storepass changeit -alias youralias
A third reason for that error message is when your server was signed by an intermediate certificate. In that case, you would have received from your CA a chain of certificates. One way to solve this (not the only one, but this one works well): Prepend your intermediate CA file to your server cert file, and import the obtained concatenated file into the server keystore. Be careful, the intermediate CA must be BEFORE the server cert. Example:
    copy rootca.cer certchain.p7b
    type server.cer >> certchain.p7b
The file certchain.p7b will be the concatenation of the intermediate CA and the signed server cert. Then import the newly created file under the key alias as follows:
keytool -import -keystore serverks.jks -file certchain.p7b -alias yourkey -trustcacerts
If you only prepend the intermediate root CA, you must make sure the the final root CA is in cacerts. But you can also prepend your whole chain of trust inside the server keystore.

    Kal

  • Itunes 7.4.1.2 - Vista 64 bit - unable to import or burn cd

    Hello.
Last night I installed Itunes 7.4 on my vista 64 bit box and kept getting the error that ITunes had installed incorrectly and I would not be able to import or burn cds.
I then tried repairing and uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail. Then this morning I tried downloading and installing 7.4.1 and am still getting the same error.
The about menu tells me that the cd driver dll is unavailable.
    Can anyone please help out?
    Cheers,
    David

iTunes is not supported on any of the 64-bit versions of Windows, so you will not be able to get any official assistance from Apple (and they don't provide any technical support in the Discussions anyway; these forums are, with rare exceptions, user-to-user only). You can search the forum for "64-bit" and see what people are suggesting in other threads. One suggestion I've seen is that you need the 64 bit Gear drivers. You can download them from here:
    http://www.gearsoftware.com/support/drivers.cfm
    Hope that helps.

  • Post iLife 08 install issue with iTunes, need details please for install

Like others in this discussion area after installing iLife '08 I received the following message after I then tried to open iTunes...
"This copy of iTunes is corrupt or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes."
This problem occurred on the family machine, a family with two teenagers with iPods. Get my drift? Lots of music we don't want to risk losing. Shortly after this problem arose I was in the local Apple Store and was advised as to best perform the recommended installation. To avoid losing the music the guy said to drag the music file over to my external drive, install the latest iTunes and then drag the music back.
    Questions;
Is my memory correct, was it the music folder?, or perhaps the library I want to drag?
What about the Artwork and/or Mobile Apps folders?
I guess I need to do this for each user correct?
    Thanks for your help,
    Stuart

I'm having the same problem. I did notice on the install disk when I went to re-install it that it said 0 KB for iTunes on the install disk. I think that the install disk is the problem. Have you had any results from all this.
    Thanks,
    Dave

I have re-installed everything and tried opening all ports in router, and used msconfig to bring up each service individually to see if there is an effect.Flash and iTunes have been re-installed  ...any ideas?

I agree. I don't rely on iCloud as a backup, that is what I have my portable hard drive for. Its 500 GB so I can hold my entire iTunes library several times over on it. I have all my movies on my hard drive, but somehow "The Mist" got deleted off of my hard drive, so I figured "Well, the option to redownload an already purchased movie is available through iCloud, I'll just do that!"
And permissions and download availability have nothing to do with it, the movie's still there, it still allows me to redownload it. The only problem is when I click download, I get that message.
And nobody else uses my computer, but I do have multiple accounts authorized on it. Even still though, I am attepmpting to download it through the account I purchased it under. :/
